The Canticum Mortis is a sonic weapon, who's design comes from the Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster. It acts sort of like an electrically charged tuning fork, which is capable at direction and rather precise shot of invisible, destructive energy. The sonic damage is on par with most others in the galaxy. However, unlike most that shoot in burst, this one fires a steady stream of sonic energy at its targets. Locking then in a deadly pitch that can vibrate/break bones and rupture organs.
When an opponent is garbed in heavy metal armor the can possibly amplify the sonic energy buy reverberating, and echoing the noise internally back into the target. Compounding the overall effect. However, when it comes to wearing padded, or even gelatinous based armor the effect is over all weakened by the dampening caused by the armor. Still resulting in a painful, but much less lethal outcome.
