The Calyiud-type Star Anchor is a physical representation of the Iron Covenant's warfare doctrine: death is inevitable. It exists to transform single ship or fleet element into an immovable bastion in open space. Once activated, it signals that the Covenant has chosen the ground upon which the battle will be decided.

At the center of the system lies the Gravitic Anchor Projector Core, a massive generator that manipulates localized mass-density distortion around the host vessel. Rather than functioning as a traditional immobilizer, the system increases the ship's gravitational interaction with surrounding spacetime, effectively "rooting" it in place. Kinetic impacts and sustained bombardment are partially absorbed and redistributed through the gravitic distortion field, reducing displacement and stabilizing the vessel under extreme fire.

Simultaneously, the Harmonic Shield Amplification Ring reroutes enormous quantities of reactor output into layered shield harmonics. These overlapping frequencies increase shield cohesion and density beyond what would be sustainable during standard mobile combat operations.
