Calran Bard was born on Dosuun, grew up on Dosuun, and recruited on Dosuun. He joined the First Imperial Army at legal age, was assigned to a platoon after basic, where he proved to be skilled at completing missions set for him. He displayed strong leadership potential, was a skilled marksman, and worked well in a team environment. Bard showed enough aptitude in his early career to be selected to progress to the Stormtrooper Corps. He was assigned to the 64th Legion, and took part in a number of deployments, where he proved again that he was a natural leader and skilled soldier.
Bard was present and active when the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium attacked Dosuun. He fought valiantly, helped defend several battle lines, was pushed back a number of times, but regrouped with his legion and continued the fight against the enemy. Even when hope was lost, Dosuun burned, and news of his family's death reached him, Bard pushed on. Possessed of a determined willpower, the Stormtrooper didn't relent, not even with heavy losses to his brothers-in-arms and the near destruction of the 64th. Miraculously, Bard survived the onslaught, though he suffered a horrendous wound to his left arm, which resulted in removal of the limb from the bicep down. For his service and bravery, Bard was fitted with a mechno-arm, which allowed him to continue his military career.
A year after the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium was routed, Bard was promoted, and transferred to the 105th Legion. Over the next two years, the stormtrooper proved his value to the First Order, and was promoted several more times over a relatively short period. Eventually, he would become a Sergeant, and would become a commander within the 105th. Ever diligent to the First Order, and his fellow troopers, Bard continues to do everything he can to uphold the ideals of his Government and to help them expand through the region.

Bard is a human of above-average height, who is well-built and engages in regular exercise. Since he doesn't remove his armor or helmet, unless on downtime, his physical appearance is relatively unknown. Only those in his legion have seen him out of uniform, and they don't make a habit of talking about a fellow stormtrooper's looks.
His medical file indicates dark hair, light eyes, and fair-to-tanned skin.

Strengths:
- Marksman: Contrary to the stigma of a stormtrooper, Bard is actually a skilled marksman, and is capable of deadly accuracy with his blaster rifle
- Strategic: Bard has been trained from a young age in battlefield tactics and methods, and his time as a stormtrooper has only improved his skills with strategy use
- Leader: Bard is a natural leader and is a good fit as a commander in the 105th
Weaknesses:
- Mechno-Arm: Bard's left forearm and bicep are mechanical, which can cause complications when exposed to high amounts of EMP/ion damage
- Army Of Many: Bard is used to operating in a large group, so that's where he feels most comfortable; it also brings other negative side effects such as losing companions
- Indoctrinated: Bard is a loyal soldier of the First Order, and will give his last for the First Order
