•Lightside Aura
The blades emit a strong lightside based presence in the force. This can be sensed and offer comfort to those wielding it or being around it.
•Darkside Warding
The blade has a very small area of effect like a ysalamir would have, not in the sense that it stops the force. The blade constantly emits a five meter aura of warding that is essentially a lower end force light that helps take a good punch out of darkside based attacks. For example if a Sith were to use drain life when the attack hits the warding field it won't outright stop the attack but the warding will significantly weaken the attack.
•Reflects Blasters
Reversing the magnetic polarity of the blade they are capable of reflecting blasters back at their attacker or blocking them much like a lightsaber.
•Akarres Wood Hilt
The blade's hilt is carved from Ankarres wood purchased from the late great [member="Rave Merrill"] at her shop. The wood gives the standard effects to the user and allows them peace and calm through its soothing lightside based properties.
Blade Description
Calm and Hush are two force imbued swords created by Miss Blonde and Gray Raxis with the intent on creating a pair of blades to help combat the darkside of the force. And while they are not master craft blades they are finely detailed and beautifully forged swords that can stand up to the darkness and act as tools to fight back.
How it's built. The swords are crafted like your standard force imbued blades. Raw materials are gathered and have the force channeled through them and their molecular structure changed to have the force engrained in their structure to make them completely lightsaber resistant. Once they are altered the magnetic polarity of the metal is reversed to help deflect blaster bolts and then it's time to move on to the crafting. Forged like any other sword would be the process of crafting these swords are quite basic. Hilts are carved from Ankarres wood and everything is brought together to create a completed blade. But this is where the last and most crucial step comes in. In order to create the warding effect they are meditated upon from the dark of the night sky into dawn to symbolize rebirth and light. Positive and strong emotions such as love, faith, belief, and happiness are imbued into the blades to create this effect and are sealed within upon the dawn. This is the crafting process in which these are made.
Power. First it needs to be said that the warding effect is not a guaranteed trump against any darkside based attack. The warding is essentially a low power aura of force light that acts as a levy to hold back the ocean of darkness. Yes water can spill over but it takes the brunt of it and significantly weakens attacks thrown at them. That being said it's not going to hold against a hurricane of dark energy. If a Sith Lord were to put everything they had into an attack the warding wouldn't be able to push back enough of that energy at one time to make a difference in the immediate. However the warding will fight off the effects after the attack has landed and will actively help to expel the dark energy within. But as far as swords go this cleaving and stabbing weapon is razor sharp, lightsaber resistant, and quite deadly. The Ankarres wood will help promote peace and calm and expel the darkside from the user and leave them in a clear state of mind. It's lightside aura provides feeling of positivity and will let the user know what they are fighting for. But lastly if a darksider were to hold this blade one of two things could happen. The darksider will feel the blade's power of calm, love, and happiness. Or if that person's soul is truly lost then there will be a intense burning sensation like gripping a hot iron.
Weaknesses. Firstly a Ysalamir trumps all, if the blade is caught in a Ysalamir's force null bubble it's just a basic lightsaber resistant sword without any of the added powers. And as far as actual sword combat goes larger weapons like hammers and axes or polearms can muscle the blade around depending on the skill of the fighter. But its biggest weakness has to be the dark side. If a darksider were to get their hands on it and overcome its defenses then they could twist, distort, or corrupt the blade into something evil. But in order to do that they would have to have some serious darkside mojo behind them. (If this were to ever happen a separate factory submission would need to be made if the blade isn't destroyed)
Summary. Calm and Hush are two fine force imbued blades that will help fight the darkside and allow the user a decent edge over the darkside of the force. They are strong and sturdy blades that will hopefully save more lives than they have to take.
