Call it Happenstance (Silas Raan)

Every planet had it's darker side, no matter how nice it seemed or how tranquil it looked to the rest of the galaxy. Even planets such as Bothawui, the main capital for the CIS territory, was such a place you could find the more summy underbelly if you looked hard enough. Given an oppertunity like that, to be in a place where plenty of trouble could occur, Sanna was all to happy to leap into the arms of risk and take her chance.

The bar itself was the usual type of cantina, one where bad music played and cheap beer was what you'd get for any price that wasn't over 10 credits. A mix of both good and bad looking people were about, both male and female of species from human to Rodian. As the band played on some were listening to their tune while others ignored it for the chance to sully in their brewed drinks or speak with others around them.

Sanna was at the bar herself, leaning on a stool while her arms rested on the bar itself. She was dressed in something more for the occasion. A decent purple dress that showed off her shoulders and had a hole in the back for her feline tail to poke from. She was currenlty guzzling down a bit of blue milk with some added kick to it. Being that this was her first time drinking Sanna, being as rebellious as she was, didn't care for the side effects. In fact she was a bit more durable due to her Torgian roots of durability both inside and out.

After finish one glass she slammed it down and said "Hey! Bring me another. No, make it two!" before giving an obnxious laugh along with it; a clear sign of her enjoying the trouble she was likely to get into.

Silas walked out of the taxi he had taken deep into city. He had lived on Hapes most of his life, only traveling within the system until he had been injured and outcast. It was of little matter to him now. On Hapes, he had simply been a political terrorist fighting against the damned Consortium. Now, he had been inducted to the Confederacy of Independent Systems where he could fight the injustices of all the corrupt governments, including the Republic. And to grow in his new home, he needed information and contacts. When you want that, you have to head to a place like this.

It was a seedy cantina, dark in both lighting and company. Silas' Hapan features weren't exactly going to blend in, but he had no reason to hide on Bothawui, not yet. He was still an unknown in the CIS and, frankly, he wanted to keep it that way. As he had grown, he had realized that working in the shadows was more of his comfort level and skill set. So, dressed casually in dark pants, white shirt, and a vest, he moved up to the bar. He ordered a drink. He was a man who liked his drinks strong, so he ordered a Coreillian whiskey and took a drink while he looked around. He figured he would get a lay of the land and pick his targets of who he wanted to talk to before he made a move.

Upon getting her drinks Sanna thanked the bar tender before trying to drink one. However she was interrupted when a tio of men came around and surrounded her from behind. One was a Zebrak, the other a Thrandoshian, and the last a Mandolorian given his tattoos and peices of armor he had on. Turning to look at them Sanna had an idea what these men were looking for, making her sneer before turning away.

"Well that's a little rude." the Mando said. "And here we were just trying to say hello."

"And now you said it." Sanna retorted. "Thank you. Goodbye."

The zebrak laughed and said "Ooo. I like this one. Really smart and sassy."

"Yeah, a lot more than I can say for you and your backup dancers." she reorted again while sipping down her drink.

The Trandoshian gave a little grumble in his thraot before saying "You might want to watch what you say, girly. Otherewise we won't be as nice as we are now."

Turning back and looking the big lizard in the eye she said "Oh, so sorry. Let me repharase then." before giving a loud belch right in his face.

She turned back while laughing before trying to sip her drink again, only for the zebrak to grab her arm and make her drop it. She struggled before the she was tossed into the Trandoshian's grip and her arm held by the Zebrak again.

The Mando laughed while they ehld her and said "You know I've always had a thing for cats. Mainly the tails."

When he grabbed her tail she stopped and looked at him angered before saying "No one touches my TAIL!"

She kicked him in the privates, making him back away, before snacking her head into the lizard's snout. After that she threw the Zebrak over a table with a good swing. The Mando recovered and came after her only for her to swipe her claws and scratch his face. She took a moment to smirk to herself before they all recovered, the Mando angered and bleeding, before they drew weapons on her.

Silas had been in plenty of dives in his time, so a bar fight was as normal to him as a spaceship. So, when he saw the outburst happening over at the other end of the bar, he planned to ignore it. Once he saw it was three men teamed up against a woman, he did have a problem with that though. Rising from the bar, he start to walk over when the Trandoshian grabbed her, when suddenly the woman let out an attack dropping the Mando for a moment.

The kitty can handle herself. Silas thought to himself. The men, however, drew their weapons and Silas thought he might interfere at this point. He really didn't want police showing up after a gunfight when he was trying to find criminals for his own ends. Plus, if he had any skill, it was at smooth talking. If it was politics, woman, or tense situations, Silas normally always knew just what to say. He had heard quite a lot about the Jedi and their capabilities to use mind tricks to persuade other's to do what they wanted and Silas had always wondered if maybe he held at least a fraction of that power inside him, at least helping his already present communication skills.

"You've got plenty of woman here to choose from. Why not drop the violent one and find something more suited for...your needs." Silas said, his dislike of the three men crept in, but he still had managed to force his way in-between the woman and these idiots.

"Yeah, but she hit me!" The Mando yelled out, obviously still rather upset.

"I didn't know Mandalorians had sunk so low that they would beat up women in a bar for that." Silas said, he knew he had to be careful that he wouldn't insult the man, but he had to make him upset enough to leave. "Especially when there are plenty of beautiful women over there." Silas said, pointing to a table of women that he certainly did not think were attractive. But, as he expected, these men had lesser taste than Silas. If it was the men not wanting to deal with talking to Silas anymore, not wanting to fight the woman again with Silas on her side too, or if they really just wanted to talk to the ugly woman, Silas didn't know. But at least they left. Leaving him to talk with the beautiful woman at the bar who seemed like she could manage herself and would be someone that Silas should get to know.

Sanna had been ready to make a move before the mans tepped in and, more or less, saved her. She watched between him and the others, seieng as he stood between her and them, while looking ready to fight again if his plans didn't work. When they did she was surprised, watching them walk over and start talking with the other ladies. Of course the Mandolorian was still ticked for what she did but she gave a little huff, indicating he should toughen up. Then she looked to the man when he turned to her, finally seeing his face. Sanna was taken back for a moment on how pretty he was, giving a little smirk when she finally did.

Rubbing her neck she said "Uh...thanks for saving me. Bu-But I didn't need help you know. I had them were I wanted them."

He looked at the woman, she seemed to be a Togorian from her appearance. She seemed tough given what had happened, but smart enough to let Silas step in so she didn't have to do anything. She was also beautiful. Smart, tough, and beautiful was often a very dangerous combination. Silas should know.

"I have no doubt you didn't need help." Silas said, "But how else could I talk to you when you were so busy?" He gave her a grin as the words moved out of his mouth like they were being spun into silk. He wanted to get to know this woman, to know if she really would be a valuable asset for him to know. And that meant, he had to say the right things and use the skills he had crafted over the years. As Silas took a seat, he made sure to keep eyes on her body for a second longer than he typically would, just to get a message across.

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

She smiled when he commented on her having skills of her own before sitting down enxt to him. Thankfully it was the empty seat where she'd been already so it was not a great reloaction at all. Sanna took her eyes off him for a moment before picking up her drink and taking a swig. She aksed him if he wanted any before putting it down or handing it to him, whichever.

After that she asked "So....what brings sombody like you here. I can tell you're not exaclty from around these parts."

He refused the drink from the woman, drinking from a stranger, especially a beautiful woman was something he had learned to avoid the hard way. He did flag down the bartender though and ordered another whiskey though to join her. He had sat specifically so that his body would be pressed against her in the crowded bar.

"I am from Hapes." He said, there was no point in lying. If they ended up working together later, she would find out, and if not, then there was no harm. This far from Hapes and in the capital of the CIS, even someone with a warrant on his head like Silas couldn't be touched. "I am just here to meet people." This was the truth, just not all of it. He wanted to find out more information about her before divulging too much information. "And what brings a beauty like you all the way down here?"

@[member="Silas Raan"]

"Well I live here." she said. "Well not HERE here, on the planet I mean. I'm with the CIS as a Templar, actually." She smiled as she was starting to get to know the guy. As she talked her tail kept swishing light back a forth, a clear sign of her own little enjoyment of what was going on between them.

The bartender arrived back with his drink, letting Silas take a sip of the strong beverage before turning back to the woman.

"I am also a member of the Confederacy." Silas added. That was good news. He knew that even beyond credits, she had at least some type of conviction for the CIS. So, even more likely they could work together. "Though, I am pretty new to area. You should show me around sometime."

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

"I'd be happy to." she said, smiling and leaning against the bar now. "Oh, I'm Sanna by the way." She said when realzing no introductions where made yet. As such she held her hand out for him to shake it. She kept her claws more retracted this time after they were used on the Mando from before. As such she knew she'd need to clean them for blood afterwards.

Extending his hand, he grabbed her hand and began to kiss it before he made a response.

"Silas Rann." He simply said as an introduction. "The pleasure is all mine." The more they talked, the more he could see a future of working with Sanna. His future was still unsure at the CIS, he had many routes that he could go. But he knew, with any of them, he would need contacts and information. His blue eyes were looking intently at her, which she noticed. The bar was loud, dark, and hard to continue what he had planned. "Is there anywhere else we can go to talk?

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

When he kissed her hand her tail stood up so high it could be seen over her shoulder. Sanna shived with delight for a moment before he introduced himself. Sanna smiled at his name as he added it with his smile. When she took her hand away she rubbed it before fixing her hair so it was over her shoulder more. When he asked for somewhere to talk she said "I don't know....is there?"

@[member="Silas Raan"]

He had many intentions, the first most was learning what this woman had to offer to him. He was new to the CIS, he needed allies in it and if she would frequent a place like this, she would know people Silas would want to know at some point. He leaned in closer to her, as if whispering into her ear,

"I have a place nearby that we can go to talk." He leaned back, looking at her and then reached out to down his drink.

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

Hearing this Sanna smirked a little more. She reached over and grabbed her drink, finishing it off as fast as she could before putting the empty bottle down. After that she indicated she was ready to go with him. Sanna was aware of what could happen while alone with this man but she was ready for any of his tricks. She had the force on her side and had the abilites of her own natural self to handle him if need be. As she walked out with him it would become more clear to Silas that she was barefoot the entire time.

To anyone else in the bar, it was simply a man who had met a woman at the bar and was taking her home. No one else knew that these were two people that were becoming major players at the CIS, at least in the near future. As they walked outside, Silas motioned for a nearby taxi being driven by a Zabrak to come pick them up. He kept silent, letting her make the next move.

While he waited, the speeder arrived and Silas motioned for her to enter, which she did and Silas sat down next to her, as close as he could.

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

Getting in she saw how close he got. She merley smiled while they drove off. She looked around, taking not of the areas they passed for any special points and whatnot, while also looking back to him. "So where is this place of yours?" she asked, curious as a...well you know.

@[member="Silas Raan"]

Silas thought for a moment about what all the situation presented to him. A woman going back to his place, a woman who could become dangerous at any given second, and the possibility of her learning information about him. Emotionally, Silas was the definition of detached. Any information he gave out, he wanted to. Any relationship he had was because he had an end he was seeking. Tonight, he knew he would have answers at least, if not more.

"It's near Drev'starn Spaceport. The people I used to know set me up really well here." He said, looking forward as the local area flew by the taxi. They were getting to his place rather quickly.

@[member="Sanna Legra"]

Her ears perked at that little ditty of info. She nodded before looking out the window again while asking "So how long have you been staying on this planet?" After he gave her an answer she'd explained how she'd only been here for over a month, showing how new she was to everything as much as he may or may not have been. When they'd finally arrived she waited until SIlas helped her out of the taxi.

@[member="Silas Raan"]

As they exited the cab, the weather which had been cloudy finally started to rain. So, as Silas exited the taxi, all he could do to cover Sanna with his vest. So, he took it off quickly and covered her as they began to walk towards the entrance of his apartment complex. Once through the door, he was finally able to answer her question.

"I have only been here for a few weeks." Silas simply said in response. He walked over to the elevator and opened it as they both entered. He pressed the button to the top floor. "And you?"
