Call it Destiny?

Graxin let a soft sigh escape him as the pieces slowly came together. It was all rather surreal. His skills with telekinetics weren't masterful in any way, but they were advanced and well trained. The apprentice let the calm of the environment envelop him, and tapped into the rushing river that was the force. No longer was it a weak puddle to him. The height at which he floated began to slowly increase, and the pieces began to fall into place.

The hilt was longer than the standard one handed blade, but still agile. The metal that encased it was a deep bronze color, and the leather strap slowly wrapped around it. A chain fell from its aft end and hung a few centimeters, the insignia of what looked to be some sort of animal at the end. It slowly floated down into Graxin's lap, and he settled back down to the floor.

His eyes slowly opened, and he ran a gloved finger over the hilt. "Hmm..."

A grin crossed the Horansi's muzzle as Graxin slowly fell out of his trance with a newly formed lightsaber upon his lap. The ritual seemed to be complete, however, there was only one way to test of the Lightsaber truly functioned. Kelios stood to his full height which towered over Graxin and then drew his lightsaber from his belt with one fluid motion. With a flick of his clawed thumb one of the two golden blades flicked to life with the signature snap-hiss that all lightsabers roared.

"Let's see if you can stand the rigors of the combat, aim for my saber, I'll block you." He rumbled and fell into a stance Graxin would know all too well: the starting stance of Soresu.

"I'll take you up on that." Graxin replied. He eased up to his feet, and ignited the powerful weapon. The sharp orange light of the leatherbound blade shone in Graxin's amber eyes. The Darkside was his ally, but he was not it's champion. Not yet, nor did he know if he would be. His power was not drawn from his hatred, but his desire to succeed.

The apprentice held the blade two handed out in front of him, and stared up at his new friend. His form mirrored Kelios's; his blade pointed partly sideways. "Aye." His blade swung sidelong toward the Jedi's midriff. Soresu was built on counters, so two fighting with the same style would be...odd.

Kelios was entirely calm as the orange and yellow blades impacted with a hiss. There was little to no emotion that swirled around him as they began their spar. "No actual hits." Kelios murmured before suddenly pressing forward with his whole body. The ideal of the motion was to force Graxin's blade from his hand if he didn't pull away after they impacted, Kelios had a brutal amount of strength which would further factor into the move as he snapped his blade upwards but at a 40 degree angle to keep Graxin from sliding their weapons downward.

Graxin's strength simply couldn't match the massive creature. He did have more dueling experience than he would admit to, and good an inkling of an idea as to what Kelios was trying to do. Wincing as his arms twisted in a particularly uncomfortable way, he pushed against Kelios's blade with no expectation to actually make his blade shift. In fact, he was using it as a sort of stable lever to spin himself off the Jedi's blade.

"I enjoy Soresu myself." He almost taunted; lips pressed into a thin little smile. He held his weapon outward, and waited for Kelios to make his move. It seemed his weapon was holding up well.

Kelios merely pressed his muzzle into a thin smirk towards Graxin. The man backed away from him and Kelios backed away from Graxin he made no moves inward. In short, the Horansi utterly refused to attack and actually deactivated his lightsaber.

"I think its a fine blade... And a fine technique, maybe I could learn from you as you could learn from me."

Graxin deactivated his own blade as well. Soresu made him an inempenetrable wall, and frankly, walls weren't known for attacking other walls. this meeting with Kelios couldn't have just been coincidence. It must have been a form of fate, or perhaps the force. The world was just too remote for it all to be an accident. Graxin clipped the lightsaber to his belt and stared up at the Jedi. He pursed his lips, but simply couldn't find the words needed. A sense of anxiety ran through his blood and made him shiver. What was Kelios's true purpose for being here?
Was there an ulterior motive for all of this?

"I have no problem with that...though, I do need to be returning to my people." He paused, and continued to stare. The words spilled out on their own. "I am the Emperor's Hand. I don't serve willingly. People will die if I do not comply." He said simply; turning partway toward his ship. "So perhaps training with me wouldn't be true to your Jedi Code. I apologize."

Kelios obviously was jumped by that information... This man was the Emperor's Hand. This young man who seemed to fight for reasons that while not of the light, were light in the Galaxy was the Emperor's Hand. He had to mull that over, and he did, his mind processing what he felt was the right thing to do even if it was an impulse choice.

"There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force," He paused for a moment and then continued... "Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy. Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect. Jedi respect all life, in any form. Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy. Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training." He let himself quite again. "As far as I'm concerned, neither of the Jedi Codes, old nor new, prevent me from helping you. I will follow you, so long as you at least listen to my advice and if the Force shall decide us as enemies, then we shall let it decide."

Graxin paused mid-step as the Jedi began to speak. That was...The Jedi Code wasn't it? The words resonated heavily in his ears. he had heard them before. His mother had spoken them many times, and they haunted him when he found himself alone. The Apprentice turned to face Kelios. "Of course I'll listen but....follow me?" He tilted his head back toward the Gulley Jumper. did Kalios mean what Graxin thought he meant? Travelling with a Jedi?

"You mean to come with me?"

"I do mean to come with you. I must head to the village though, gather my things and say farewell to the Chief. You are free to accompany me."

Kelios walked closer to Graxin till he stood right above him, once more towering over the smaller being with a friendly smile on his muzzle (the closest a lion could get to such I guess). "There is something about you... You have a destiny before you and I sense in the very base of my heart that I am to help you somehow or somewhere along your path."

Graxin tilted his head toward the right. He just kind of assumed the village was that way. It likely wasn't of course. "Well, there's room on the ship. As long you can pull your own weight...which I'm sure you can." Graxin reached up to cup his chin and knit his brow in thought. I'd be happy to have you. Let's go bid this Chief farewell then."
