Caliban Arkay was born in a forgotten age, bred in a now-lost experiment to create Force-augmented warriors, beings who could reshape war through sheer will, subservient to the will of their father, a long lost emperor. He was one of two: a twin forged for balance. Caliban was the colder of the two. methodical, reserved, shaped by discipline and silence. His brother, Vaelen, burned bright with emotion and conviction, a warrior-poet who believed the Force should serve life, not rule it.
They were inseparable. The shadow and the warrior. Trained together. Fought together. All in the service of their father, helping him consolidate his empire. Until the philosophies that once united them drove them apart.
Vaelen rebelled. He saw their creator as tyrant. Caliban remained loyal, believing purpose must come before passion. Their final battle shattered the citadel that raised them, a duel so fierce it caused the death of their creator as they fought. In the end, Caliban struck the killing blow on Vaelen. Not out of hate, but because he believed it was the only way to preserve what they were meant to become, for he truly believed in his father's cause.
But that moment never left him.
After the fall of the moon citadel, Caliban entered cryostasis deep in the bowels of the ruined fortress, not just to survive, but to escape. He slept for centuries, haunted by dreams of Vaelen's eyes in those final moments. When the current Empire found him, he was a relic, powerful in the dark side, precise, but distant. They gave him a name: The Sixth Brother.
With it came a purpose. Serve the empire.
He wears a suit from his era, battered, reinforced over time, bearing only a half crescent moon, a symbol representing the destroyed moon where he and his brother were created. It's practical. Faceless. A shell to carry a man half-asleep in the present, half-drowning in the past, haunted by dreams of a long dead empire, brother and father.
He serves, but never truly belongs. His lightsaber is white, the kyber crystal broken, a constant reminder of his battle with Vaelen. He obeys the empire, this era's empire, faithfully, believing it to be his way of redemption and though his father, his creator, no longer sits the throne he sees it as serving his legacy. He's forever shackled to the desires of that brilliant, accursed man.
Every day he serves. Every day he wonders if he was wrong.
