CURRENT TITLES: Jedi Master
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Brown

DESCRIPTION: Cale is possessed of a semi-athletic build that befits a man of his height and occupation. His hair is often a dark mess of a thing, as is the beard which has grown itself over his face, his eyes are a sharp blue, though they often appear tired and heavy. Given the lifetime of battle he has fought, it is hardly surprising that he wears a number of scars across his person, the most predominant of which runs from the left of his ribs up over his right collarbone. His right arm is missing at the shoulder.

STRENGTHS
Cale is deceptively a capable combatant in close quarters. Though he once hyperspecialized in Form V, he has long since adapted to Forms II and III for saber combat, in addition to being a vicious brawler.
Cale’s connection to the force is respectable, and he wields more basic abilities with ease. Though unable to maintain it, the one ability unique to Cale is his ability to essentially manifest a ‘ghost’ arm through the force, capable of all the manipulation and abilities of the limb once present, with the added benefit of far enhanced strength and essential invulnerability. But, it does require immense concentration, thus is rarely used, and even when it is, only briefly.
Cale always has been, and to this day remains, an extremely talented pilot, having even served in one incarnation of Rogue Squadron at one point in his life.

WEAKNESSES
Though he has by and large overcome the loss of his right arm, and has a unique ability in the force which can temporarily compensate for it, most times Cale’s right side is still a massive weakness and an easy opening for those capable enough to capitalize on it.
Cale’s talent in the force begins and ends with the building block abilities, leaving him largely vulnerable to more exotic techniques that cannot be countered through physical means. Though more mentally strong than he lets on, it is not by that much, given all he has suffered.
Cale is incredibly slow to form attachments at this point, which ought to be a strength for a Jedi, but the catch, of course, is that those he has bonded with, he is immensely attached to. His Padawan for instance, is far more son than student, and anything befalling him would leave Cale utterly distraught.

HOME WORLD: Coruscant (birth), Naboo (raised)

FAMILY:
*Gunderson family (adoptive, largely deceased, familial heads revealed as One Sith agents)
*Marek S’hadar (twin brother)
*Galen S’hadar/Devin (clone of twin, adopted brother)
*Aleksandr Stirsea (pseudoadoptive son)

PREVIOUS ALLEGIANCES: The Republic, The One Sith, the Galactic Alliance

PREVIOUS TITLES: Jedi Knight, Darth, Amber 5, Rogue 12

CONFLICTS OF INTEREST: Though they are not in contact, it is doubtful he would ever stand against his brother if the Silver Jedi were to somehow come into conflict with the current Galactic Alliance. It's also highly doubtful he would do anything that would put his learner at risk.

KNOWN HISTORY: Cale was born two minutes following his brother, Marek, on sublevel 987 of Coruscant. Their father was an enigma, and their mother was deeply unwell. At some time after their birth, no longer than three months, their mother, during an intense episode, promptly abandoned Cale and Marek in the streets at separate locations. Cale would be discovered by the Gundersons, Nabooians on a philanthropic outreach venture, and subsequently adopted by the wealthy family.

Living a comfortable life, Cale’s fore sensitivity would be discovered early on, causing an immediate shift in his fate. Data on the Gundersons themselves is incomplete, corrupted, or otherwise simply lost, but it is speculated that the actions that followed may have been the result of unconscious programming. Regardless, the two would, through various methods, implant Cale’s mind with subconscious programming and other unknown rituals, turning the child into an unknowing sleeper agent before contacting the Jedi Order to have him taken in as a youngling.

By age six, he was living at the temple on Tython amongst other younglings, and was an avid learner, though developed a nasty habit of tardiness, but was otherwise well regarded. At 15, he and others of his age would venture to Ilum and construct their own lightsabers, on said venture Cale would befriend one Tallia Farn, and experience a vision of his brother, Marek, for the first time.

Upon their return, he would be placed under Jedi Master Sky Kerberos as one of several apprentices to the master and thrived under her tutelage. Plagued by visions of Marek, at the time an unknown stranger, the two would cross paths, and blades, more than once in the days that followed . Eventually during the horrors of the Dark Harvest, the two would be forced to fight side by side, and Cale succeeded in getting through to his tormented twin.

Though it came in time, Marek would eventually join him in the Jedi Order, and the two would fight side by side together in the war that ultimately destroyed the Sith Empire of the time. Though Cale would briefly attempt to train a student of his own, he found his capabilities lacking, and instead opted to work with Tallia Farn in training padawan group exercise and scenarios. He would also witness the birth of Darth Orcus and numerous other events on Coruscant, but remained steadfast in his loyalties.

However, when the One Sith rose, emerging from darkness to sack Coruscant, their enigmatic Dark Lord spoke the long-dormant trigger phrase, and Cale all but ceased to be. Trapped within his own mind as a passive observer, his body became an extension of the Dark Lord’s will, a puppet of flesh dancing on strings. He fought with all his might to break free, but it was futile, only succeeding in warning Farn to run before trying to strike her down himself. What followed would be several years of abhorrent crimes of war, torture, and brutality, all committed as Cale could do nothing but watch, the presence feeding off his suffering to fuel its strength.

Then, one day, it simply vanished. The Dark Lord of the One Sith was slain by his own, as Sith so often are, and Cale was free. Reportedly he stood motionless for hours, unaware of his freedom after so many years, and suffered an intensive breakdown before fleeing into hiding.

Eventually Cale would resurface under the false identity ‘Cassian Feryn’ and enlist in the Galactic Alliance Navy, serving as a bomber pilot, before transferring into a fighter squadron. During his service, he fought the First Order as well the resurgent Sith Empire. Eventually, following a shootdown during a Sith siege of an alliance world, Cale would be forced to reveal himself, wielding his lightsaber against a platoon of Sith Empire Airborne troopers.

Identified by a chance encounter with a former victim curious enough to check the alliance fugitive database, Cale was arrested even as his arm all but fell from his body, and was taken into custody. Only through the timely intervention of a Silver Jedi representative, knowing him as the brother of Marek, who’d aided in founding their nation, was he spared prison.

Instead he was placed in a facility on Kashyyk, the Sith’s programming erased from his mind, but ultimately confined within the comfortable prison by the SJO with no intention to ever release him. Also notably, it was found his lost arm simply could not be replaced due to the damage suffered, or at least could not be at the time.

However, there was some brightness to be found, within those walls he once again found Tallia Farn, now suffering from intense amnesia brought on by her own wishes. The two reconnected, and she would forgive Cale once her memories of his turn came back to her, recognizing it’d been anything but his own choice. In time she would go on to help him escape the Silver Jedi, asking to even go with him out into the stars, but Cale refused, insisting it would be better for her among the Silvers. Something he has come to regret.

Over the next several years Cale would fall into a number of vices, drinking, stims, cynicism, and would all but give up the noble goals he’d set out onto the stars with. For years he simply lived as a spacer, going from job to job, surviving and hiding his nature, until he eventually stumbled into the wrong Cantina at the right time. Within its walls, a Sith Inquisitor appeared to take a Jedi Padawan hiding within and additionally set his sights upon a force-sensitive urchin also inside. Acting on impulse, Cale engaged the Inquisitor and was soundly defeated, but rose again and attacked him with both of the boys, only to again be bested.

The Darksider however, too enraptured with his own ego, failed to notice one Ronan Calore enter the establishment and produce a blaster, only realizing the mercenary was thereafter it was too late and multiple bolts punched into him. Without time to hesitate, the group fled together aboard Cale’s ship, and found themselves stuck in each other’s company for the foreseeable future.

A duel with Darth Vulcanus on Felucia which revealed Cale’s past, a stranding on Rhen Vhar which solidified their future, and a final encounter with the inquisitor all took place over the following two years with another hundred assorted adventures. Cale would take the urchin, a boy named Aleksandr, on as a learner after the boy began to grow close to the dark side, with the two forming a strong bond. Eventually, following the death of his first mate Tup Tup Bimbam, in the ultimate showdown with the Inquisitor, Ronan would take his place. As for the Padawan, one Hector Vale, he would vanish, unable to tolerate Cale’s past allegiances, willing or not.

Years would pass, and eventually Cale would deem Aleks ready, and the two would venture to Ilum to construct sabers of their own, and bury the one taken from the Inquisitor. They would of course, be discovered, with Valery Noble briefly taking Cale to the Jedi Temple and uncovering his past, only to absolve him of his crimes. In the span of a few moments, Cale was a free man, and within days, he had returned to the Jedi Order, though warily. Still weighed down by his perception that nothing done by anyone within the galaxy would have any lasting impact, he nevertheless has decided that even if nothing matters, one may as well do what is right.
