BRIEF BIOGRAPHY SUMMARY
Caldris Melantha is the 48-year-old Admiral of the House Defense Forces and the sole surviving heir of House Melantha after a brutal Sith invasion wiped out his older brothers. A brilliant fleet tactician who uses rapid, on-the-spot maneuvers to keep his aging refugee fleet afloat, he struggles privately with intense self-doubt after suddenly being thrust into the line of succession. Though burdened by the weight of keeping his house alive, his deep-seated noble snobbery and disdain for commoners threaten to alienate the very allies his fleet desperately needs.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
BIOGRAPHY
Caldris Melantha grew up on the capital world of Soterios knowing he was fourth in line for the High Lord's chair. With no shot at ruling, he stepped away from court politics and joined the House Defense Forces. He took to naval life quickly, climbing to Admiral by clearing out pirate rings that plagued the sector's trading routes.
When the Sith Covenant struck, his routine command turned into a slaughterhouse. Caldris fought hard, but his defense forces couldn't hold back the invasion fleet. During the chaotic fall of Soterios, a surgical strike wiped out his older brothers. Caldris survived purely because he was on a flagship bridge in orbit instead of down in the family estate.
He gathered the remaining warships, loaded his dying father and surviving refugees onboard, and punched a hole through the blockade. Now in 904 ABY, Caldris finds himself doing two jobs he never wanted, commanding a beaten-up remnant fleet and serving as the sole heir to a ruined house.
PERSONALITY
Caldris acts like a proper noble officer on the outside. He keeps his uniform spotless, speaks with quiet authority, and expects instant execution of his orders. But behind closed doors, he is sweating every decision. Going from a fourth son with a clear job to the last line of defense for his bloodline has him second-guessing his own calls.
He isn't a bad commander, his tactical record proves he can think on his feet. But the state of the galaxy freaks him out. He relies on strict naval protocol to hide his anxiety, using ship routines to keep himself focused when things go wrong. His biggest blind spot is his upbringing.
Caldris genuinely looks down on anyone without a title. He treats common sailors like equipment and gets visibly annoyed when forced to deal with non-noble faction leaders. If he wants to keep his fleet alive near the Farworlds Alliance, he will have to swallow his pride and learn to work with people he used to ignore.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Fleet Tactics: Exceptional at impromptu naval formations, micro-managing escorts, and ship positioning under fire. | Aristocratic Snobbery: Alienates potential low-born allies, traders, and mercenaries with his condescending tone. |
| Anti-Piracy Mastery: Years spent hunting raiders make him sharp at spotting ambushes and asymmetrical traps. | Crisis Insecurity: Terrified of failing his father and destroying what is left of his house's legacy. |
| Fleet Optimization: Knows how to patch up outdated hulls and mix ancient cruisers with modern frigates seamlessly. | Rigid Pride: Hates asking for help or admitting when his ships are outmatched, delaying necessary retreats. |
