Darth Catena
CAERITHA SORN
Age: 44
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 1.75 meters
Weight: 66 kilograms
Force Sensitive: Yes — Dark Side Force User
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Caeritha Sorn is a lean, athletic woman whose appearance reflects a life spent considerably closer to military installations, intelligence operations, and contested worlds than comfortable courts. She has pale skin, grey-blue eyes, and auburn-brown hair that falls beyond her shoulders. In the field, she usually wears it tied back or arranged in a practical style, though she is perfectly capable of adopting a more polished appearance when circumstances require it.
There is no single style of clothing that Caeritha can truly call her own.
Years spent in intelligence work have made changing appearances almost habitual. She can move from a tailored military uniform to formal evening wear, anonymous civilian clothing, spacer's leathers, or practical field gear without appearing particularly uncomfortable in any of them. Clothing is simply another part of adapting to an environment.
When operating openly, Caeritha favors black or charcoal clothing with occasional dark-red accents. Reinforced jackets, fitted field uniforms, gloves, boots, and lightweight armor are common.
She carries herself with quiet confidence rather than overt aggression. Caeritha rarely raises her voice and has learned that remaining silent often reveals more than another question would.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Caeritha is patient, observant, pragmatic, and extremely difficult to surprise.
Her years in Imperial intelligence taught her to enter unfamiliar situations without assuming that appearances are accurate. She listens before speaking, watches how people behave when they believe nobody important is paying attention, and rarely commits herself before understanding what she is actually dealing with.
Adaptability has consequently become one of the defining aspects of her personality.
Caeritha can command soldiers in one moment and disappear into a crowded cantina the next. She understands etiquette well enough to attend diplomatic receptions, criminal behavior well enough to negotiate with smugglers, and military culture well enough to walk confidently through an operations center. None of these personas are entirely false. They are simply different aspects of the same woman emphasized according to circumstance.
This makes determining precisely what Caeritha genuinely believes considerably more difficult.
She values discipline, competence, self-reliance, and preparation. She has little patience for people who mistake authority for ability and even less for those who expect institutions to protect them merely because those institutions claim they will.
Her experiences with successive governments have left her deeply skeptical of political permanence. Governments rise. Governments collapse. Military victories are reversed. Yesterday's allies become tomorrow's enemies with remarkable ease.
Caeritha therefore places considerably greater faith in individuals than institutions.
Her relationship with the Dark Side is similarly practical. She does not consider rage, cruelty, or theatrical brutality requirements for wielding it. Emotion is something to understand and harness rather than something that should be permitted to control her.
That restraint should not be mistaken for kindness.
Caeritha is entirely capable of deception, coercion, manipulation, and violence when she considers them necessary. She simply sees little value in cruelty performed for its own sake.
STRENGTHS
Intelligence Officer — Caeritha has extensive experience in intelligence gathering, counterintelligence, surveillance, interrogation, and clandestine operations. She is particularly adept at taking apparently unrelated fragments of information and determining which details actually matter.
Many Skins — Caeritha is highly experienced at adopting different social identities. Officer, aristocrat, diplomat, spacer, criminal intermediary, bureaucrat, and ordinary traveler are all roles she can inhabit convincingly when required.
Insurgent Commander — Experience on Iridonia taught Caeritha both sides of irregular warfare. Sabotage, clandestine cells, ambushes, recruitment, counterinsurgency, intelligence gathering, and operating without conventional logistical support are familiar territory.
Patient Observer — Caeritha does not need to dominate every conversation. She is comfortable allowing others to speak while she watches, listens, and forms conclusions. This makes her particularly effective when dealing with people who underestimate quiet participants.
Force Precognition — Caeritha's strongest natural Force ability manifests as flashes of intuition and an awareness of approaching danger. These impressions rarely provide a complete vision of the future, instead presenting possibilities, warnings, or the instinctive certainty that something is wrong.
Experienced Combatant — Imperial training, field experience, and years of irregular warfare have made Caeritha dangerous with both conventional weapons and a lightsaber. She favors efficient combat over elaborate displays of technique.
WEAKNESSES
Who Is Caeritha Sorn? — Spending years changing identities has blurred the boundary between performance and personality. Caeritha can become whatever a situation requires remarkably easily. Determining what she wants when nobody requires anything from her is considerably more difficult.
Control The Variables — Caeritha prefers preparation. She wants intelligence, contingency plans, escape routes, and some understanding of the people involved before committing herself. Situations that demand immediate action can force her outside the conditions in which she performs best.
Trust Is Expensive — An intelligence career built around deception and compartmentalization has made genuine trust difficult. Caeritha instinctively considers what another person might be concealing even when suspicion is unwarranted.
Iridonia — Caeritha's involvement with Iridonia became considerably more personal than an intelligence assignment should have. The campaign left behind unfinished business, enemies, former allies, and decisions that continue to follow her.
Imperial Baggage — Whatever Caeritha may currently consider herself, she spent a significant portion of her life serving an Imperial government. There are people who remember what she did during that service, and some have considerably longer memories than she would prefer.
Not A Juggernaut — Caeritha is a capable Force User and experienced combatant, but direct confrontation is not her greatest advantage. Dedicated duelists and exceptionally powerful Force Users can overwhelm her if she allows herself to become trapped in a prolonged stand-up fight.
HISTORY
Caeritha Sorn was born on Acherin, a world with a long history of conflict, changing governments, and populations forced to adapt whenever distant powers decided the planet belonged to someone new.
She learned early that permanence was usually something governments promised shortly before circumstances proved otherwise.
The Galactic Empire nevertheless offered Caeritha something she understood and, for a time, genuinely believed in: order.
She entered Imperial service while still young and initially pursued a conventional military career. Her superiors soon discovered that Caeritha possessed considerably greater aptitude for intelligence work than parade-ground soldiering.
She noticed things.
A nervous quartermaster. An unexplained change in cargo manifests. A supposedly insignificant civilian who appeared at several unrelated locations. The subordinate everyone ignored despite senior officers consistently seeking their opinion.
Caeritha's ability to observe without drawing attention eventually brought her into Imperial intelligence and special operations.
She received training in surveillance, counterintelligence, clandestine operations, interrogation, infiltration, and irregular warfare. Conventional military skills remained important, but Caeritha increasingly operated in environments where identifying the enemy was considerably more complicated than shooting them.
Her sensitivity to the Force emerged gradually.
There had always been instincts she could not explain. The certainty that someone was watching her. An impulse to change routes moments before an ambush. The inexplicable conviction that an apparently unimportant conversation deserved her attention.
Eventually coincidence ceased being an adequate explanation.
Training allowed Caeritha to develop those instincts deliberately. Precognition became her most natural talent, although she also learned telekinesis, enhanced physical abilities, and the basic disciplines necessary to wield a lightsaber.
Her relationship with the Force developed outside the traditions of the Jedi.
Caeritha found little appealing about emotional detachment and even less about surrendering personal ambition to an institution. The darker traditions offered something more compatible with the woman she had become: power obtained through will, emotion, and individual purpose.
She nevertheless proved an unusual practitioner.
Caeritha's temperament was too controlled for constant rage and too pragmatic for cruelty as spectacle. She learned to draw upon darker emotions without surrendering entirely to them, treating the Force much as she treated a weapon: dangerous, useful, and deserving of respect.
Iridonia changed everything.
Caeritha arrived there as part of an Imperial operation and became embroiled in a conflict considerably more complicated than initial intelligence suggested. Insurgency and counterinsurgency blurred together as local politics, competing factions, outside interests, and Imperial objectives collided.
Conventional military solutions repeatedly failed.
An enemy cell destroyed one week returned under another name the next. Capturing territory did little when fighters simply disappeared into the population. Intelligence became more valuable than firepower, and Caeritha increasingly found herself operating outside conventional command structures.
Eventually she crossed a line that would have seemed impossible earlier in her career.
Caeritha stopped fighting insurgents.
She became one.
Whether this represented betrayal, necessity, ideological awakening, or simply the realization that Imperial command no longer understood the situation depends largely upon who tells the story.
Caeritha herself rarely does.
The insurgency transformed her from an intelligence officer who studied irregular warfare into someone who lived it. She organized cells, moved supplies through hostile territory, cultivated informants, sabotaged enemy operations, and learned how quickly supposedly powerful institutions could become helpless when denied reliable information.
The campaign never reached a satisfying conclusion.
Changing galactic circumstances fractured the authority that had originally brought Caeritha to Iridonia. Alliances shifted. Imperial interests changed. Local factions pursued their own objectives.
Caeritha survived.
The institution she had once believed would define her life did not.
She emerged from Iridonia with few illusions remaining about governments, uniforms, or permanent allegiances. Former Imperial contacts became occasional employers. People she had once investigated became sources. Smugglers became transportation. Soldiers became mercenaries. Enemies occasionally became allies when circumstances changed sufficiently.
Caeritha adapted because adaptation was what she had always done best.
She acquired a courier vessel, the Unbroken Line, and began operating independently. Intelligence work, security contracts, reconnaissance, discreet transportation, and occasional involvement in conflicts provided both income and opportunity.
Her old uniform remained aboard the ship.
So did the evening dresses.
The spacer's jacket.
The field armor.
The forged identities.
The lightsaber.
Each belonged to Caeritha Sorn.
The difficult question was increasingly whether any one of them represented the woman underneath.
