- Cross-Guard Lightsaber - Like the cross-guard of an iron sword, this variation of the single-Lightsaber protects the hands from the maneuvers of the enemies blade. To either side, extended a far smaller blade for which can catch and lock within lightsaber combat allowing for better defense and manipulation of the guarded strikes.
- Force Imbued - Imbued with the Dark Side of the Force channeled through to the Focusing Crystal before the Lightsabers creation, Brennan Cabrol has empowered this weapon with a dense aura that strengthens the users capabilities within Force Practices.
- Force-activated - The activation Stud of this lightsabers hilt has been built on the inside of the Phrik Casing, the layout of which Brennan himself has designed and therefore nows where to focus upon should he need to activate the weapon, the manner in which he does so through the mild practice of Telekinesis ensures that no others will be able to utilize the weapon against him should he be disarmed.
- Trapped grip - Combined with the identification scanning technologies of the First Order's FOSB (First Order Security Bureau), this Lightsaber will emit an electrical charge should one foreign to it's programmed authorization attempt to activate and use the weapon.
Strengths:
- Force Imbued - The Lightsaber exerts an aura of dominance empowering the user within the practices of Dominate Mind and Telekinesis. This presence within the Dark-Side of the Force will be felt by all Force Sensitive Persons around the wielder.
- Intimidating Presence - The Dark Side of the Force flowing around the weapon and the one whom wields it will encourage the negative emotions in those of weak resistance to the Force. Non-Force Users or those below the experience of a Jedi or Sith Knight may come to find themselves apprehensive and fearful of meeting such a presence in confrontation.
Weaknesses:
- Beacon of Darkness - Due to the strong aura of the Dark-Side feeding off of this weapon, the user cannot hope to conceal themselves from the sensory abilities of other Force Users, the lightsaber acting like a beacon to all who would seek to find and confront the Knight of Ren.
- Soul-Bound - Thanks to the Internal activation of the weapon requiring good knowledge of the hilts creation as well as the Trapped Grip, this weapon cannot be utilized by friend nor foe. This means that should Brennan be disarmed, the hilt will not give any allies the advantage of a second blade against their opposition.
- Crystal Compression - With limited room within the interior of the lightsaber hilt due to the modifications required for the weapons cross-guard variant, the focusing crystal for which powers the blade has been compressed to compensate. This however has resulted in an unstable energy core and creates a rather volatile blade for which snaps with loose particles of energy and may burn the user least they are wearing protective armor.
- Force Deterrents - The Aid and empowerment of Force abilities can be countered by the use of Force Light, Force debilitating environments and Ysalamir rendering the Lightsaber as equal to any other standard weapon of a Force Practitioner.
Coming into a second life following Brennan Cabrol's essence transfer and the ownership and inheritance of a fresh new mortal body, his path has opened up into a renewed and vested interest in progressing in his training as a practitioner of the Force and a Master of Combat. To represent this new found vigor and enthusiasm over his discovered potential, Caehl Ren has since created a new Lightsaber that will serve to represent him in sentiment and self expression.
Using his Focusing Crystal for which he has held for years and attuned all of his anger and dominance into through the learnings of the Dark Side of the Force, he has compressed the valuable rock and fitted it into the much more complicated weapon than his last. The misshapen crystal when activated gives off the frenzied heat and thrum of an unstable blade, red in color and menacing upon the eyes; as a weapon of the Knight of Ren it is to become one of the more notable possessions on his person.
