As part of the weapons modernization programme, the Vulcan [SIZE=10pt]HVC[/SIZE] was next on the list. Resulting in the Caeculus Hypervelocity Cannon which has an improved damage output over its predecessor. Still effective at long range, losing effectiveness at shorter ranges. Capable of stutter fire and is able to be turreted, maintains accuracy from previous model. Unable to track and target ships under fifty meters. Prone to overheating, must be given time between firing sessions to cool down much like its predecessor. Now subject to siaber crystal [SIZE=10pt]overheating / cracked[/SIZE] crystal which may lead to implosion/fatal results.
