Private Byssal Order's Up

The Togruta regarded him with her blue eyes and a warm smile as he described just the way the flavors struck. It was strangely artisanal. Vibrant. Nothing like how she could have described it. Sometimes, she wondered... Naniti wondered if she were lacking in any way to fully appreciate Lysander. Their upbringing were polar opposites of one another. Yet, somehow, they were both here with the Sith Covenant. Lysander even rising higher in standing all the time. Concern whether she measured up to someone's expectations were not a familiar sensation.

Her Master's expectations and whether she measured up had always been clear. An Acolyte survived or they didn't. Simple. A relationship was different.

"That is a beautiful way to describe it." Much as she would like him to read her mind, she wanted to make sure he knew she appreciated the thoughtfulness. Even the way he caressed his jaw was an enjoyable sight.

Though his laughter was a bit of a surprise. One of those circumstances she couldn't even begin to imagine. "Nine siblings?" Dinner was like combat? "Sounds like an animated day in the Academy cafeteria." Some Acolytes would do anything to get ahead. "But with better food." It had to have been better if he was comparing it to this. Having already had a taste she knew what they'd whipped up was in a different league than the low-budget nutritional supplement the cafeteria called a meal.

And, yes, Naniti had once said she didn't mind a bad tasting, but nutritious meal as she'd grown up on it. It allowed one to eat things others would balk at. Allowed someone to survive on almost nothing when the situation demanded it. Nonetheless, the Togruta did like all the meals being in Lysander's social orbit had allowed her to taste. Even today. Because she'd wanted to give him something more than a street vendor's goods.

"Sounds like we should do this more often. Try new recipes and new ingredients. Let you 'experiment.'" That did have a nice sound to it.
