Buying A Sun (Invite Only)

The change in the Vong's attitude was audible in his voice. It allowed Corruck to get another sigh of relief before he prepared for another bid. This time he tried to analyze the emotions that rushed into him as he raised his hand. Pride, no. Lust, nothing. Anger, none. Pity, maybe, not really. It was truly infuriating to not be able to identify his own emotions. Now there was anger, yes, anger at his own complex mental structuring. Sometimes he wondered why he hadn't been a droid. Emotions were so hard to deal with, especially when one did not know if the emotions were good or bad and what they were. It must be buried so deep that he simply cannot understand himself. Was he hiding from himself? Why would he? Where would that get him? Would it truly help? What was he hiding and from what part of himself was he hiding it? The questions seemed to go on and on to eternity. He couldn't get one answer, only guesses that did not satisfy.

"One hundred and fifty-seven thousand credits." He said that with barely any thought. It was amazing how quickly the circumstances had created the habit. He would have to break it after this was all over.

Dredge out a hand up and placed his next bid. The writer was now sick and really didn't feel like writing a paragraph while blowing his nose to hell. So dredge simply raised the bid

"One hundred and seventy thousand."

Corruck let his voice free again, "One hundred seventy three thousand credits."

The writer wished to voice his condolences to his current IC opponent. He too was not in a great shape, as last night he had been working on his writing (book) a little too far into the night. His eyes were having a difficult time seeing straight, making his ability to type a little less than stellar. Thank the Force for spell-check.

"Two hundred thousand credits!" Dredge jumped the price up and wanted this auction to end soon. Raising his hand he placed his new bid and the struggle to buy another person continued

Corruck let a grimace fall onto his face. It wasn't that he couldn't swallow that amount, he could with relative ease, but it would be a lot of money spent. He was trying to get into the habit of not throwing away money on random things, impulse buying was something he was trying to cut down on, so far it was not working too well.

"Two hundred three thousand credits." He raised the price again, taking the time to think through his decisions at this point.

After getting done losing focus on threads Dredge made sure to ruin Corrucks's day by biding again. He wanted- no needed this Slave! It was more than money, it was pride dammit!

Corruck smiled again. This was interesting, the question was to either continue or stop. If he continued he would likely spend money, but he might also do it simply to make this Vong hurt more financially. If he quit now, he would not owe a thing and the Vong would walk away paying quite a handsome fee for the person. It was certainly wiser to simply walk away, but then Corruck could not be expected to be wise all the time. The allure of a risk was too much and he spoke again.

"Three hundred thousand credits." Even he was getting a little tired of the back and forth of the bidding, but it was too much fun to pass over completely.

Oh Dredge would play this game, he would play this game with mystery bidder number one. He saw how it was, and would make sure he got this slave even if it cost him a financial arm and a leg. Besides the people at the primeval didn't believe in silly things like money. Or pie, so he could burn some cash and gold.

"Three hundred and twenty five thousand!"

Corruck let himself feel a small bit of anger, though he kept it in check to avoid letting it overpower his sense of control. Not control over the situation so much as control over himself.

"Three hundred fifty thousand credits."

((Okay. How about I just ask which one of you would rather have Sun? I can tell how bored you're getting. We've gotta get her story moving. :p))

((Well to be honest I think she might do better with Corruck. Dredge is all genocide and destruction and he would probably destroy her even more psychologically. Hed make her do a lot of awful things. So that being said you can decide [member="Sun"].))

((I will go with [member="Corruck Kazen"] if you believe it would be best. Just out of curiosity, what would [member="Dredge"] have made her do?))
