- Unique Ammo Types: Farkleberry wanted to create something that, to his own knowledge, had never been done before. Designing what amounted to an impervium ball loaded at the front of a massive slug shell, the round fired from this weapon is a massive slug, large enough to punch through tank hulls, and take down starfighters if you actually manage to hit one.
- Grape Shot - A variation on the classic shot, the Grape Shot round fires off impervium pellets, designed to take down approaching threats at short range.
- Chain Shot - Another variation on the design, the Chain Shot is designed with armored targets in mind. Tied together with a set of Power Couplings similiar to a San-Ni staff, the twin balls are designed to wrap around heavy infantry and disable them with brutal efficiency.
- Explosive Shot - Using weaker Durasteel Balls, Farkle filled these slugs with Baradium Bisulfate, designed to explode on impact. These work wonders against formations of soldiers, and can also be modified to explode at at set timer, making them great for anti-starfighter defense.
- Swappable Mechanisms - Requiring a full minute at best, the back breech mechanism can be swapped out to fire off more traditional blaster cannon rounds. This includes Ion rounds and other blaster bolt types.
- Rotating Magazine - The back half of the cannon features a rotating magazine that can be removed, and reloaded after it empties. This can be removed in favor of a traditional blaster cannon configuration if needed.
- 6 Shot wonder - Buutrac was designed for heavy raids, and thus was designed with a six shot rotating magazine that allows the cannon to keep up pressure on the enemy for six rounds before being reloaded. This feature can be changed out for a traditional blaster cannon configuration if needed.
- INCOMING! - The balls, while crude in nature, are designed to shred and destroy anything they hit. Whether it be metal, flesh, or anything in between. Anything strong enough to deflect it would be in for a rude awakening, at the very least.
- Rifled for Accuracy - Despite the cannon being a weapon of an era long forgotten, it can definitely hit what it's aimed at. Just takes a little bit of math.
- Plasma for Everyone! - When using it's traditional blaster cannon configuration, the BuuTrac can fire large blasma rounds which hit for lots of splash damage.
- Portable, in theory - While your average mando in power armor could lug this thing around and fire it singlehandedly, you'd be walking without your ammo bearer.
- Limited Power - While more than powerful enough to deal with infantry and light vehicles, the blaster cannon configuration isn't designed to take out heavily armored targets.
- Power Supply - When not mounted on vehicles or in an emplacement the BuuTrac requires a large power supply in it's blaster cannon configuration to operate effectively. This is both heavy and unwieldy, and also means the weapon has limited ammunition.
- Reload! - While in the slugthrower configuration, it only has six shots before the magazine must be removed and reloaded. That takes time.
- 3 Man Team - This is a crew operated weapon, requiring a gunner, a loader, and a mechanic to operate at full efficiency. Operating with a two man team is possible, but will extend the time required to reload, and may result in catastrophic failure if the gun isn't maintained.
Designed on a bet, The BuuTrac, or Storm Artillery, was designed to be an answer to Clan Claiborne's problem of having to deal with foes who drive around in heavy armor or have magic powers. No one expects you to roll up to a battle with ancient technology lobbing starship armor balls across the field. Is that crazy? Yes. Absolutely yes. Does it work? Oh yeah. Farkleberry truely believes that the boys were insane when they asked for such a monstrosity, but he was happy to provide. Designed to be brought onto the battle field in a trio of guns, Clan Claiborne will never arrive without a bang.
