    IMG-4979.png

Ropagis: Ropagi II capital city, located in the center of Forethought. It’s the center of politics and bureaucracy. Arena of the Mind, an amphitheater structure that hosts debates for Ropagi & outworlds brightest minds, is located here.

Torvane: Located in the east of Ropagis, it is one of Ropagi II’s largest economic hubs. North of the city-proper is the main energy source of the planet, which processed in the city’s numerous reactors. Forethought’s biggest industrial port is located here, connecting the continent with Afterthought. It’s also home to the largest migrant population on the planet, with Off-Worlders’ Quarter, a district where off-worlders were limited to back when the planet was still an isolationist state, is located here, and now it becomes the planet’s cultural hotspot.
    IMG-4984.png

Ebyl: Located west of Ropagis, Ebyl is a very similar city to Ropagis. It shares their culture, as Ropagis was originally established by colonists from Ebyl. The Great Library is located in Ebyl, as well as the University of Ropagi, the largest social sciences university in the system.
    IMG-4985.png

Balarik: Located in the southern tip of Forethought, Balarik was the original homeland of the Kalduu. It is the tech capital of Ropagi II, producing most of the computer hardware and software the planet exported.
    IMG-4995.png

    • Kalduu (12%)
    • Ropagu (59%)
  • Immigrated Species:
    • Human (22%)
    • Mon Calamari (2%)
    • Quarren (1%)
    • Rodian (1%)
    • Iktotchi (1%)
  • Population: Heavy - Approximately 30 billion.
  • Demographics: Majority of the planet is the native near-human, Ropagu. Due to significant human presence and the intermarriage between physiologically similar Human and Ropagu, there is a significant population of Human-Ropagu mix, which is counted as Human in local census.
  • Primary Languages: Ropagu, Galactic Basic
  • Culture: Ropagi II is a pacifist society that prides itself on knowledge, education, and progress. This was a result of the mix between Ropagu and Kalduu culture eons ago. Forethought especially takes this ideas to the extreme. It was said that Ropagi II only have a very limited military presence before the Gulag Plague. Ropagi are industrious people, the generally accepted culture is working 12 hours a day and sleeping 2 hours a day, which makes it hard for off-worlders to adapt. It is a hierarchical culture. Ropagi has a special affinity for debates, which Ropagu turned to eons ago after embracing pacifism. It is a highly popular competition for Ropagi. Ropagi avoid high-impact sport, loud music, and imaginative art, preferring athletics, folk music, and realistic sculptures.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Technocratic Social Democracy
  • Affiliation: High Republic
  • Wealth: High Ropagi II tech exports brought wealth to the planet, and the people’s industriousness and tendency of compliance means economic stability. However, they rely on outside worlds for foodstuffs, which lower their bargaining power in the regional markets substantially.
  • Stability: High. Ropagi II is a very stable society. There is no recorded rebellion ever occurring in the planet history. The government consistently provides for its people, so general happiness is high. Recent influx of migrants could in the long run reshape the culture of the people, but it has not to that extent at the moment.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Ropagi II implement state-planned economy. Tax is high, corporations are limited in their operations, and the technocratic government plans the economic production and development. This is mainly enforced by well-established social contract, although Ropagi II government also uses technology and force if necessary. Socially, Ropagi II is quite conservative. It’s hierarchical culture lead to it’s debating culture and general freedom of ideas contained within the ruling class.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: The military of Ropagi II is advanced in tech and limited in number. They focus heavily in defensive capabilities.
  • Technology: Above average in computing tech and medtech. Standard in everything else.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The first recorded civilization of Ropagi II was the isolationist Kalduu state on Forethought. They were advanced in technology and limited in number, and they kept to themselves for centuries, developing computing and stealth tech to help them stay hidden. Meanwhile, it is rumoured that human colonists arrived in Afterthought before the just before the Rakatan Empire reached the planet, before the rise of the Kalduu, but their advances was halted by the coming Rakatan Empire and whatever technology brought there was wiped.

The Kalduu first discovered the Ropagu in their exploration age, when they colonised the northeastern coast of Forethought and brought their war there. The pacifist, more advanced Kalduu quickly beat the Ropagu into submission and subjugate them. From that point, they started living side by side; the Kalduu converting them to pacifism and introduce them to high technology.

Not much is known of them during the period of Gulag Plague, but after, they emerged more refined and sharper on the edges. They are still pacifists, but more efforts are put to ensure that they can maintain their society and culture.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Following the Mandalorian Enclave - Galactic Alliance War and the realization that the Storyfire needed a thousand homes to survive, the Rekav'dral authorized the purchase of a failing entertainment block on Nar Shaddaa as the center of Hutt Space Mandalorians community. Using a Hapan front company to distance the purchase from Kestri, the Covenant transformed the derelict towers into The Gilded Hearth.

The purpose was twofold: to provide a legitimate economic engine for the Iron Covenant and to create a Sovereign Wall in the heart of the galaxy's most lawless sector. Since its inception, the Gilded Hearth has become the primary extraction point for Mandalorian minorities fleeing Sith and Imperial-controlled space. To the Hutts and Black Sun, it is a profitable taxpayer; to the Iron Covenant, it is the fire that keeps the diaspora warm and the blade that waits in the shadow of the Smuggler's Moon.
