Vinten let the representatives speak their piece, responding to his own question, and bringing up their own worries. [member="Viktor Alexander"] made a good point. Any signs of aggression whatsoever that were directed toward the Alliance could prove troublesome. Trouble was not something the Iron Empire was interested in, and it certainly wasn't something Vinten was. [member="Dravis Rosilla"] made points about how it could be seen as simple protection, but he still couldn't quite see the benefit of the alliance. He had orchestrated the meeting, and he wanted to see an alliance form, but he couldn't force it. It needed to happen naturally and mutually. He looked down at his holopad, and realized the time. The conversation had been going on for longer than he realized.
He looked back up at the table of representatives and opened his mouth. "Perhaps we should take a short break. You can take this opportunity to contact the leaders of your respective factions and discuss the current issues that have been brought up, and perhaps the terms that they would accept for an alliance." With that, Vinten stood up and walked over to his droid, motioning for him to go fetch some more drinks. He then looked back to the group. "If you need to use the facilities, they are just outside this door, and down the hall on the left." He pointed at the door they had entered in, and made a motion with his arms signalling a turn. "We can reconvene in a few minutes."
