Ithor; Baffor Grove
Baffor Tree's were perhaps the most unique and interesting plants that existed within the galaxy. They were odd creatures, creatures that by some accounts held more than the simple life of a plant. By all accounted, their forests more often than not became sentient, simply because their collective consciousness became wiser than any beings the Ithorians knew of.
It did not always happen.
An Ithorian Jedi Master had told her the stories of the dead Baffor's, the forests that did not quite mature, that changed and altered slightly, the Baffor Trees that did not achieve sentience but instead hung just at the cusp of it. These could be found in smaller groves.
Patches of green that hung around Ithor after the Yuuzhan Vong War, forests that had never quite sprouted.
It was before one of these forests that Sifa found herself, standing tall before the ramp of her ship as her eyes cast forward towards the Grove ahead of her. A collection of soldiers stood behind her, a few other Sith. Deep within that forest was an Old Republic base, an outpost that had been used for research. The forest itself protected it.
She frowned slightly as her fingers fell to her lightsaber. "Lets go."
Sifa called out to the Soldiers who seemed startled, their focus completely taken by the odd haunting sound produced by the Baffor Grove. Slowly they shifted, nodding as they moved towards the massive cluster of near sentient trees.
