DESCRIPTION
Burbr'tracyn Whistling Birds are a type of munition containing a miniaturized non-incendiary photonic charge and a capsule of accelerite. Upon hitting a target, the accelerite is released into their system, and the photonic charge activates. The charge emits a photonic burst that also reacts with the accelerite to produce an unusual form of radiation that suppresses the entire light spectrum. This can render a target that requires visual sight completely blind until the bullet is removed or the accelerite cleansed from the body. It can also cause an unusual form of madness. The blinding effect is diminished on creatures without a circulatory system to spread the accelerite throughout their body and is completely ineffective against creatures who do not require sight at all or use Force Sight. The photonic burst still works the same regardless. The accelerite can only spread if it actually embeds in the target so it can inject the substance. This is aided by a quadranium tip for more penetrating power. If the explosive is slashed with a lightsaber, the accelerite will be ignited, causing a splash of flaming liquid. The photonic charge will still detonate wherever they land, and the accelerite will release, creating a cloud of darkness about the size of five large people per bird. This darkness works the same as mentioned above and bloacks all forms of light. The ionite produces an ion damage effect that is effective against shields, droids, and other electronics. They are still whistling birds with their standard guided explosives. The explosion itself, though small, packs a stronger punch than normal thanks to the accelerite. Also, the blackout darkness itself blocks out any light that might come from the explosion.
