Description:
- The Bulwark-Class Escort Frigate is the newest and smallest addition to the Imperial Navy. After an evaluation by the High Command it was recognized that the only manufactured vessels of Remnant origins were high end Capital vessels, and that smaller vessels for commerce patrol and escort was needed. Thus the Bulwark-Class was born, designed by the Imperial Navy Research Division, it is designed to be an efficient starship for its cost and manufacturing time. Created to be mass produced, several Bulwarks can be produced in Imperial shipyards, and using Imperial Remnant components, it is highly unmodifiable to prevent conversion by opposing forces such as insurgents and pirates.
- It is intended to escort commerce lines, and capital task forces. In a pinch, the Bulwark can be used to an advantage with other Bulwarks or other vessels of similar size. The Bulwarks do not operate well in a pitched battle without larger capital vessels taking the brute of the action, the escort frigate only does well as a support vessel in that type of situation. They are also adept at anti-piracy actions, when sent in patrols around hyperspace lanes and planetary trade lanes, they tend to do very well.
