- Fire Rate: When free-fired without a target locked, the Bulldog has an impressive rate of fire.
- Heat Absorption: Duravlex components protect the Bulldog's internals from damage caused by overheating.
- Proton Package: Proton grenades are a devastating ordinance traditionally used to destroy starship hulls.

- Cumbersome Reload: While it can hold six grenades, carrying replacement magazines is cumbersome and reloading the Bulldog is time consuming.
- Expensive: The cost of producing rocket-propelled proton grenades and reinforced the Bulldog with duravlex to manage them prevents the launcher from being mass-produced.
- Slow Projectiles: Due to the rocket's sluggish speed, the Bulldog is best used in ambush attacks or when locked onto to slow-moving targets.

The Bulldog RLR-9 is a powerful handheld grenade launcher designed for antipersonnel applications on the battlefield. It's light enough to be carried and fired one-handed thanks to its borrowed ergonomic design from the E-series CIS blaster platform. Thanks to duravlex components, the risk of damage due to overheating is drastically reduced. The Bulldog fires charged proton grenades from a six-round magazine. An integrated targeting systems enables users to lock onto vehicles or weapon emplacements, but it can also be free fired at enemy personnel. The Bulldog's rocket-propelled grenades travel slowly, however, and are best used against unsuspecting organics or slow-moving craft.
Expensive materials resulted in the Bulldog becoming a rarer weapon among Confederate forces, used most often by Super Commando droids, MagnaGuards, and special forces units. Despite this rarity, the Bulldog RLR-9 is still a devastating launcher in the hands of the CIS.
