If Dreidi was going to be spending time on Naboo, working with the Order of Shiraya and potentially even joining the Order, then she needed to bring Aileni here and let him get used to the differences between the harsh, cruel environment of Dathomir in contrast to the lush and pleasantry of Naboo. The two worlds that she was going to be calling home were certainly going to be drastic yin and yang.

Finding a place to stay that would be outside of the temple would be important as well. She doubted the hard working Jedi would want to be disturbed several times in the night with a crying baby testing the limits of loudness he could burst out. Especially around 2-3am. There was a fatigue that Dreidi had to her currently since it was still the early months of having Aileni, and she was dreading the whole teething stage that had been mentioned. Though the witch mothers mentioned there were some traditional herbal recipes that were meant to soothe the pain. Dreidi felt unsure in how powerful these recipes would be. Especially since they had been the ones to warn her of the teething stage after she was complaining about the early alarm system her son had invented for feeding.

The flight over had gone down well, while Dreidi was not a pro pilot, Aileni loved the blue glow of Hyperspace as well as being able to curl up with Grisial. The Vulptex and Aileni had bonded better than Dreidi had thought possible. Grisial was protective of Aileni than he was of herself and she knew that not purely due to the bond she shared with Grisial, he saw himself that special aura Aileni had that made him important to keep safe.

Carrying Aileni in her arms, she arrived at Theed and had reached out to Briana to help her out with some shopping. Mentioning that she needed to get her own place and she needed to get things to go in said place as well. Dreidi also mentioned meeting Aileni since she figured that the Jedi Knight might enjoy meeting the baby and a chance for Aileni to get to know faces that were not elderly witch mothers who claimed his soul was old and he was going to be the howling monster of Dathomir. He had experienced the Dathomir culture that he would live with, but she wanted him to know the Jedi aspects as well. Even as a baby.

So Dreidi waited for Briana at the meet up spot.

"Well, look at you," Briana said by way of greeting as she fell into step beside her old friend, giving Dreidi a hug from the side as to not disturb the precious cargo she was cradling in her arms. "And look at him..." Alieni was...well, he was a baby — small. Pink. Quiet, for now. But, sweet, in his own way. "Is this our official shopping escort for the day?" Peering down at the infant with ancient eyes, who was tightly swaddled, she gently swished the wisps of his dark hair to one side.

Most of her friends that'd trained with her at Romi's Enclave on Ossus had already taken this next step in their lives, though mostly by accident, from what she gathered. Justice Lesan Justice Lesan had his children, Blaire her girls. Brandyn and Cybelle with a child of their own on the way. Once, when things were quieter with Aiden, she thought maybe. But those thoughts felt distant now. Ideas she'd quietly packed away after her carefully curated life had fallen apart, one agonizing piece of the puzzle at a time. Her brow arched, noticing Aileni stir as a soft gust of spring wind pulled by them, watching him burrow further down into his blankets. Her lips pulled faintly into a smile. "I'm about to blow so many credits on this guy. Clothes he'll outgrow in a month, toys he'll ignore in favor of the box they came in... It's a good thing money isn't an issue for Sal-Soren's."

She sighed and shook her head, pocketing her hands. "You look great by the way, and I'm glad that you reached out," Briana started, shifting the conversation to the point. "You picked a good time to come, too. There's a handful of housing spots open near the edge of Deej'a Peak, nearby the entrance to the Gallo Mountains. It's not right next to the Temple, but close enough. Plus, it's peaceful. Private. I wasn't sure if you wanted your own place or not, so I checked out a few different options on your behalf after we talked . Of course, you'll always have a room at the Temple too, should you want it."

Smiling, Dreidi gave a hug to Briana as her friend arrived to the meeting spot. The baby was still asleep for now which was a small relief for Dreidi but she knew he would be awake and alert soon enough. Aileni always seemed interested in taking his environment in and seemed to be learning things a lot faster than Dreidi assumed he would be. "Once his nap is over, I am sure that he will be very active and vocal in keeping us safe." Dreidi joked softly, smiling to Briana.

Hearing that Briana was wanting to spoil Aileni made Dreidi grin quite widely, while she was always more than happy to spoil her son, it was always nice to see her friends making the effort as well. "Well, he is going to be a very fashionable Dathomiri troublemaker then." Dreidi chuckled softly, caressing the top of his head, "I am sure that you will be a great mother some day as well. Probably better than I am since it'll be a lot more planned." Dreidi stated with some panic in her eyes about the fact that she had never prepped to have a child.

Yet here he was and nothing could take him away from her. At least for now.

"I had time during the fly over here to clean up. Should have seen how I looked on Dathomir, I swear I looked rougher than a rancor." Dreidi joked, "Aileni decided to make a whole random sleep schedule that no one else understands." Nodding her head when the topic turned to the reason for the visit, Dreidi nodded her head. "I think the other Jedi would appreciate it more if I had my own place. It also means that Aileni gets to see things not so Jedi oriented as well." Dreidi still held suspicions that her son would one day become a Jedi, it was still important he see other ways to live. Experience life outside the Order.

Gesturing for Briana to lead the way, "I'm looking forward to seeing the different places that you have selected. I am sure that they will all be fantastic options." Dreidi knew that Briana always had amazing sense of style and fashion so any place that Briana liked was going to be something Dreidi was going to love. At least, that was Dreidi's assumption with this.

She tucked her hands in the pockets of her cream tunic as they began walking, the sun cutting warm slats of gold across the street ahead. Dreidi's words about being a good mother catching her off guard, not because they were unkind in some way, but because Briana didn't quite know how to respond. That'd never been a role she'd really planned for, nor something she'd considered seriously about wanting or not. The thought had only ever been briefly entertained, usually during the quiet nights when it'd just been her and Aiden in those rare moments where they existed outside of war.

But, Aiden was gone now, and Viz? Briana still wasn't entirely sure what she wanted there. Knew that she didn't want him to leave, but still too afraid of what might happen if she fully opened her heart to him, opened herself to the dream of a future that'd been stolen from her too many times to count. How many times could a broken heart be put back together and still function the way it should?

So, instead of addressing the compliment directly, Briana shifted the attention off of herself and offered something quieter.

"You're stronger than you give yourself credit for," Briana gave after a beat, voice soft. "You didn't plan for him. But you chose to be here, to be his mother, to build something for him that will matter and last. That takes a different kind of strength." Her cerulean gaze dipped to the baby again, watching the rise and fall of his tiny chest, feeling something flutter inside of her own. The hint of a smile curved at the corner of her lips briefly. "I don't know if that path's going to be meant for me," she admitted, not out of some poorly veiled attempt at sympathy or want of encouragement, but simple honesty. "But I admire the hell out of you and anyone else that chooses to walk it."

Turning down a quieter street nestled beneath cascading balconies and flowering vines, Briana tilted her head toward a cluster of homes set along a slow, winding path. "Alright. I've got three solid options." she began to explain, holding up her hand to get Dreidi to pause. "One with space and charm, one with modern comforts, and one that's...probably too big? But, has a garden and a vast yard that made me think of you. I don't know a lot about kids, but I figure that he'd want the space to run when he gets big enough." She smirked. "Also, thick enough walls that your Force-sensitive alarm system can wail to his heart's content without waking the block."

She slowed to a stop near the gate of the first home, then looked back to Dreidi with something gentler in her expression. "Wherever you end up, you deserve to have space that's yours. Somewhere that feels like a real beginning."

Nodding her head, when Briana mentioned that was not a path that she saw herself going down, it was something that Dreidi respected. She had often seen herself as someone who would never end up a mother. It was probably why there was a panic in the whole idea of being a mother, especially with the fears that had been laced in her understanding of what she could expect her son to become one day. However, those were fears, concerns of prophecy that she was careful to keep to herself. There was too much to unburden onto others.

For now, for now, she would hold back.

"If it isn't a path you wish to travel down, I can respect that, I thought myself similar in mindset before Aileni. But sometimes the Force guides you down unexpected paths." Dreidi gave a smile, then let out a sigh, "but I am sure that you are plenty busy already, running an Order and teaching students. When my father was leader of the Silver Jedi, I remember he was always super busy." How he managed to run a faction as well as being an active father with three children, Dreidi's admiration for him and for her mother increased as she started raising Aileni as well as dealing with her Padawan.

Dreidi chuckled when Briana laid out the options, there was appreciation in her face for how much effort her friend had put into this. It was more effort and help than Dreidi thought would be done when she had initially asked for the help. "Thank you for helping me so much with this. The thick walls will definitely be appreciated by neighbours since Aileni does have random hours for feeding at the moment. Also dreading the teething stage." Dreidi had cold sweats from how terrible that stage could be for a baby.

"The large garden will be great for Aileni and Grisial." Nodding her head to the Vulptex who bounced on the spot pleased to hear about the prospects of plenty of natural ground to run around on. Coruscant had been rough for Grisial since it was all metal and unnatural, Dathomir was nicer but limiting in where he could go since Dreidi always warned him of dangerous beasts. Grisial was hoping this Naboo home would be a closer feeling to home.

Looking at the gate of the first home, Dreidi did consider whether such grand housing would be in her budget. While she had at one point, a considerable amount of credits she had saved, creating the enclave on Dathomir had expended it. "So, how is life with you? Dating much?" Dreidi asked, being a bit bold in wanting to catch up with the gossip of her friend's life.
