Public Building an alliance (G.A. and S.J.C)

Location: Orbiting gas giant Onkora on the edge of the Orus system, home of the planet Arsenae

Strong winds rolled across the massive gas giant Onkora, its multi colored clouds swirling in unique shapes as the gasses mixed with one another in a kaleidoscope of color. Lighting flashed amongst the clouds frequently and violently. Chaotic and beautiful at the same time from high up in the very edges of the planets orbital grasp.

From above, the Trireme class star destroyer Thena slowly orbited the planet. Far enough away to view the entire planet, but close enough to witness the mesmerizing scene below. Most of the display screens in the bridge had been either removed or rearranged. Any available space had been covered in view screens, leaving an effect as if the were sitting in a transparent room, with the planet Onkora as its main focus. A circular table surrounded by chairs had been placed in the center. While a privacy shield had been placed to separate what few crew memebers remained and expected guests.

Ellie stood on the bridge, eyes locked on the view screens displaying the planet. She had to admit, it was beautiful to look at, but her thoughts weren't fully on the planet. They resided on the upcoming meeting that was going to happen on this very bridge. Normally meetings on the bridges of star destroyers were ones of battle, but today was different. Today would be talks of building a new space station in order to strengthen the bonds of two factions. The Galactic Alliance and the Silver Jedi Concord. The idea of a space station had been put forward by the Arsenians, who had offered to build the station on the edge of their system. There were a few who would probably say they did this as a way to benefit themselves, it's true that it would but that wasn't the entire reason. The system of Orus was the halfway point between the capitals of both factions, a meet in the middle sort of thing. The most obvious reason was to strengthen bonds in a galaxy were allies were scarce and enemies lurked in every shadow. For now, the station was nothing but ideas on blueprints. Hopefully after today, it would become something more.

Annasari looked around the small shuttle that had just docked in the bay. Her fellow senator and the Jedi that accompanied them were sitting across from her. She rose, her gaze lingering for a second more. The Tetan was not a new face, and Annasari knew he would be able to handle himself well. The Jedi, on the other hand, was a wild card. Anna held no qualms with their order, but given their peaceful nature, she was weary about how much they would be convinced to give. Though their voice did not actually hold a sway in the decision, it could be used coerce negations in the Concord's favor.

"Let's do this, shall we?"

Her gown shifted around her ankles as she made her way to the exit. White and flowing, a golden sash with white flecks wrapped around her torso and clung over her shoulder. She nodded to those who awaited outside the shuttle.

"Welcome, we're so glad to have you! I hope your journey was well?" The woman inquiring was short and stout, a nervous smile across her face.

"Yes, thank you." Anna replied. Her face offered no hint of emotion.

"Scans are clear." One of the men behind her stated.

"Excellent. If you will just follow me, Captain Omera awaits you on the bridge!"

As the woman began to lead, Annasari sauntered behind, her eyes scanning the various areas of the ship that they passed.

Bewildered eyes reflected upon the efflorescent display of interstellar travel. The young Jedi was still new to traveling beyond the few planets she knew. It always encapsulated her how such a place can exist beyond the worn dirt trails and cloudy blue skies. However, this would mark a first time for stepping foot in such an enormous space-gizmo.

As a traditionalist, it wasn’t uncommon to see L’yoom wearing the robes of the old Jedi, but it was also that this place was quite cold and she was quite small, thus the robes were necessary for multiple reasons! The togruta kept the hood over herself, montrails poking up the fabric. She; herself, still had much to learn in the Jedi ways, but managed to gain a lot more help to adapt to the modernisms of the world around her. She was aware the days of old were long past, but she still wanted to attribute much of her teachings to them regardless.

Her mind drew its attention to the surroundings of where the shuttle landed, getting an idea of what was around, her montrails acting as perfect detectors of possible threats once the engines were off. As far as she could tell, there didn’t seem to be any immediate threats or fast movements. In general, she sensed the general atmosphere of what was present, her expression a clear sign of little danger for the moment.

“I will follow you.” She spoke softly, standing up behind her and moving when the Senetors did.

She stood, arms within their sleeves, relaxed and in subtle meditation, gathering the new world around her. One would notice her curiosity quite easily as she glanced about every so often, wondering what certain things were for. However, she knew to try to retain her focus as much as possible.

L’yoom peered up from her hood, catching a glimpse of the short and stout lady, making a mental note of the nervous expression. Her own was rather blank for the moment, if not for a few curious glances at machinery.

“A bridge in space.” She wondered softly to herself, imagining a literal bridge in space just aimlessly drifting. Though one might have thought she was speaking in terms of bridging divides of foreign affairs, she was in fact imagining space bridges.

Her eyes glanced up toward Annasari, speaking as she lifted her head to let her have a clear view. “If I may, Senator. I feel these negotiations will be fruitful. Is there anything that you seek from me?”

She would glance over to the Tentan as well. The girl may have stared a bit too long, primarily out of curiosity. L’yoom always assumed Senators were to look more charismatic at all times.

Seto rather enjoyed long flights of hyperspace, it gave him a reprieve from the organized chaotic emotions that was Coruscant itself. Trillions of lives all with their own unique mark in the Force, it was wonder why the Jedi ever built a Temple there in the first place. I barely stood that pressure on my first trip to Coruscant, can’t imagine untrained Padawans sensitive to so many voices and emotions that swirl around there. Seto for his own part was content, despite his misgivings of particularly all Force Orders in general, he had to give credit to the Silver Jedi Order.

They were one of the longer standing forces of general goodness that has rivaled the Sith Empire’s strength for quite some time. And maybe they’ll unluckily mirror in a similar fall, or perhaps even rival it. It wasn’t a secret that there were plenty of disagreements between the New Jedi Order, Galactic Alliance and the Silver Jedi Order in their approach in dealing with the Sith. Some even manifested in events that would bring embarrassment to several Jedi.

Seto kept his expression mostly joyful, his smile ever present and eyes shimmering with excitement. The prospect of strengthening the ties between the Alliance and the Silver Jedi Order brought him a sense of renewed intrigue for future events that could make the coming days far more interesting than the last.

The Senator of Jakku spoke in question of their preparedness to begin their travel to meet with the delegation of the Silver Jedi. Seto turned his head to give the other accompanied member of their escort, a Jedi, a courteous nod before following the Senator of Jakku. The woman was quite a firestorm within the Senate, climbing much higher than what many would have expected from someone coming from a planet such as Jakku. Desserts flowers survive out there with strength and tenacity after all.

As they continued to follow one of the crew to meet with Captain Omera, Seto looked around with raised eyebrows and keen interest in the design set forth. It appeared less walking into a bridge and more like walking into a bubble in space. The young Du Couteau heir was more than impressed, he wondered if he could request a few vessels to share this type of decor and allow people to experience the vastness of space in a different way.

Their Jedi companion took a moment to address Senator Annasari with a question of what it might be needed of her to help with these incoming discussions. Seto kept a gentle gaze on the Jedi, she was far more traditional with her hood and robes and even when they first started to enter the ship she kept her hood over herself. Just like the other Jedi. . . A brief moment a memory invaded Seto’s mind of another Jedi that dressed similarly and held themselves with a core of values that were near unshakable.

Seto glanced towards Senator Annasari, the question posed was mostly directed towards her. He was curious of her response as well, Seto had his own response to the question but he’d figured it would be best to keep those cards close to his chest for the moment.

Kalie sat in a chair, applying the final touches of facial distortion and make-up as her shuttle pulled into the docking bay of the larger ship. She paused, looking into her reflection in the mirror, assessing her work. Her hand pulled back her long blonde hair as she made a few distinct facial expressions.

"Good." She said, snapping her tool bag shut and placing it carefully inside her handbag. She then stood up and looked into the full-length mirror, a blank expression on her face, staring at herself. She calmly reached for her throat and activated her voice altercation device, hidden under the makeup.

"My name is Tiresh... My name is Tiresh..." She said, testing the tone of her voice as well as slightly adjusting her accent to match the persona.

"My name is Tiresh... Tiresh Kobitana... Kobitana..." She shifted her weight and then closed her eyes, focusing on something deep within herself. She was recalling a developed persona, The Noble, an elaborate and sophisticated woman with a sense of class and culture. She entered into her mindset, felt her emotions...

She opened her eyes... The transformation was complete.

The Noble, Tiresh Kobitana of the high class society of coruscant, looked over at her bed, taking note of her surroundings. With a slight sigh, she picked up her handbag and held it elegantly in her hand as she left the room and made her way to the exit ramp of the smaller vessel.

The Nobel's secret mission was to attend the meeting and to determine how the talks were proceeding. If the direction of the meeting favored SIA's interests, then she would play a very minor role in the meeting. However, if the meeting diverted from the desired outcome, The Noble would attempt to manipulate the attendants in her favor. She had a solid cover, and she knew that although she did not have an official vote, her voice would be respected and considered by the Galactic Alliance attendants, and hopefully... the Silver Jedi Order.

She walked down the lift, acknowledging the greeting party with a slight nod.

"Tiresh Kobitana..." She said, stopping at the bottom of the lift as the woman nodded with recognition and began to lead her towards the others who were on the bridge.

Or'Fol looked out as the specialized, Herglic ship he was aboard. It was larger, just like his species, but the interior was proportioned in the same larger manner, making it seem like a ship that was simply scaled up. The larger craft would soon land, letting the Jedi Master exit. He wore more usual Herglic utility attire as opposed to his robes. More a comfort thing than anything else. He would slowly begin to move out of the ship before walking towards the bridge.

He looked around, though he stayed quiet for now as he made his way. The main issue was the vessel he was in now wasn't exactly built for his kind. He tried he looked at the lift to the bridge, seeing the others inside.

"Mind telling the bridge I need an empty lift?"

She gave a slight bow to them as they drew closer. Her eyes fell on each one, taking in each member in quick detail. "My name is Ellie Omera."

The Noble walked from the lift onto the glass floor, her eyes taking in the majestic view that the bridge so elegantly provided her.

"I rather enjoy this ship." She commented lightly as her eyes drifted back to Ellie Omera Ellie Omera , nodding politely at her introduction and the accompanying invitation to sit at the provided table. As she approached, she glanced over at the senator of Jakku and gave her a polite smile and nod as well, stopping and turning fully to give her the respectful attention she deserved,

"Senator Annasari Annasari of Jakku." She said with an air of respect, as she placed her hand gently against her own chest to demonstrate a form of personal introduction, "Tiresh Kobitana. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Senator." Her eyes looked briefly past the senator, giving a smile to the Jedi who appeared to be accompanying her ( L'yoom Ka L'yoom Ka ).

"It's also nice to make your aquaintenance, Master...?" She said warmly with eyebrows raised slightly, anticipating him to kindly provided her with his name.

Well and ahead of the other Silver, Kade was waiting. He had excused himself before the others had arrived, double checking before entering that his hair was actually out of his face and that a stray whisker hadn't crawled out of his nose or ear like the younglings teased it would. A meeting of this variety could earn one a humorous rapport with others in the galaxy if they remembered someone for having a whisker filled nose and ears. Which was why he had come early, and been shuffled off to what could be considered a restroom when pressed for one.

Content that he was in fact orderly, the simple robes were kept close, hands crossed in front of himself as he exited to the lift doors only to reveal the large Herglic in front of him. It took him a moment to realize exactly what he was seeing given the large wall of material he first caught sight of. The slight shine of skin however gave him a good idea of who it was however, a small smile forming as he moved around the other master.

He paused seeing the other faces gathered, giving a polite bow before moving to take a seat at the mentioned table.

The Senator pondered the Jedi's question as they made their way through the corridors. Anna knew what a precarious game this could be. To exert influence over the New Jedi Order openly would fill the rumor mill that never ceased. Her lips pursed as they came upon the bridge entry way. She turned to the padawan finally, a distant smile crossing her face.

"Do what you feel is right; but be mindful of the costs of friendship."

With that, her brisk pace continued, bringing her into the open area. The hybrid offered a bow in return to the captain, before giving a nod to the other woman who had greeted her. She was a stranger, but Annasari would not insult her assumed station that put her here, nor give any sign of weakness in front of their neighbors.

"Captain Omera. Thank you for your invitation, and for being graceful enough to host us." She moved to take a seat as the table. "As soon as you are ready to proceed, we are as well."

L'yoom pondered the Senator's phrase, her brows scrunching slightly as she focused. It was particularly vague but still adequate notion that she would pull from that. The girl was certainty fair at that, she thought. There was a priority to at least keep the NJO in mind with these discussion, as others as well. The girl moved along side Annasari, returning to her expression to its usual blank unjudging gaze as they approached Captain Omera. As the Senator bowed, L'yoom Ka did shortly after. She rose her hands slowly to pull back her hood, revealing herself to be a togruta, a race particularly attuned to the force.

When gestured toward their seats, L'yoom moved to the table and pulling a seat out for the Senator. L'yoom stood for the moment behind her own seat, simply awaiting till everyone arrived so that she might not be caught off guard, should anything happen.

Be mindful of the costs of friendships? Seto kept up his smile, he hadn’t expected such an answer from her, rather he had assumed something less poetic. But what of course, what was sage wisdom if not to add a bit catchy. The room began to fill a bit after and Seto turned his attention to another representative from the Alliance that joined them, though for the life of him he couldn’t place the name exactly. Though that goes for nearly half the government in the Galactic Alliance proper. But Seto made a mental note to check on Lady Kobitana after the meeting and on their way back home.

“Please the pleasure and honour is all mine,” Seto bowed his head to Lady Kobitana as they exchanged greetings .

His eyes inspected the Silver Jedi delegation and wondered if they should have included perhaps another member of the Jedi Order. Seto wasn’t certain if they would look kindly on the singular representation of the Alliance’s Force Order combined with the overabundance of bureaucratic figureheads. Even if said figurehead can produce a charming smile. Seto walked over to the meeting table. There hadn't been much in the way of friction between the Silver Jedi Order and the Alliance, and Seto intended to keep it that way during their talks.

Taking his seat at the table, Seto glanced around for another moment, the Silver Jedi representatives were rather varied. Similar to the varied representation of the Alliance as well in some aspects, though it did break the young Du Couteau heir’s expectation of Silver Jedi Order being uniform in appearance. Truth be told, I always assumed any Force Order to have their members appear eerily similar to one another.

“Yes Captain Omera, we are thankful for your efforts. As am I honoured to sit among the highly esteemed Silver Jedi delegation.” Seto greeted as he inclined his head towards those of the Silver Jedi Order.

Or’Fol couldn’t help but grumble a little as he finally got to the bridge. Three lifts, three, that had people going up. Busy day he guessed. Either way, he was late. As he finally got up, catching the second half of what Ellie said.

“The journey was mostly fine for me, Miss Omera. Apologies for being late. Just some trouble with the last step.” He chuckled a little, getting the annoyance out of his system before noticing the other Master that had come. He didn’t know much about Kaidshau, but he figured the man would be good. Then he hear a woman address him, and turned with a smile. He didn’t know her either, and he had only heard of Annasari and Cauteau from their work as Senators. Learning about anyone hear was an exciting prospect for him.

“Or’Fol Moric. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Miss...?” After hearing the name, he would go to sit, though yet another issue. He would just have to stand for this one.

“A pleasure to meet you as well senators.”

"Tiresh Kobitana." She offered in response to Or'Fol Moric Or'Fol Moric 's inquiry, giving him a smile as she turned and made her way to the table with the others.

She gave another smile and considerate nod to Ellie Omera Ellie Omera as the others made their comments to the captain. Her eyes then traveled around the table as she took her seat, taking in the variety of representatives around her. She offered a smile as her eyes made contact with another Silver Jedi whom she had not been introduced to yet (Nico Kaidshau). She did not intend to take much of the spotlight in these proceedings. As long as everything appeared to be going favorably, she was content to observe and to offer her elegant warmth and charm in a very subtle fashion. She knew exactly why she was there and had no plans on deviating from course...

However, she did tend to find herself carrying strong opinions on certain matters. She hoped that she could bite her tongue for the most part. Best to fly under the radar as much as possible.

She waited for the proceedings to begin.

The last of all the representatives had finally arrived and taken their seats. Well, save for one Or'Fol Moric Or'Fol Moric who seemed a little too large for his chair. That could be problematic and un-host like if he was forced to stand. Luckily that shouldn't be to hard of a pro to fix, they had meetings with large species before. A few taps on her datapad and a quick message was sent to have a larger chair brought in.

Ellie's attention was drawn to the rest of the seated individuals. A smile graced her lips as she spoke. "Again, welcome. I'm glad you all made the journey with very little trouble." Her eyes briefly landed on Or'fol. "I'm sure you're all aware as to why we, the Arsenian people, have asked you here today. We are proposing the building of a station that will help strengthen the alliance between the Galactic Alliance and the Silver Jedi Concord."

With the tap of a button on her datapad, a holographic image appeared of the station in the center of the table, taking up most of the space. "This station will be neutral ground for both parties. A gathering place of diplomacy, trade and a means to come together in a galaxy that gets more dangerous by the day. Especially with the ever growing threat of the Bryn'adul."

She paused for a moment to let that bit of information sink in. The galaxy did seem to have a new threat on a near daily basis anymore. "Today we're hear to talk about logistics and other implications. Before we continue, are there questions anyone would like to ask now?"

Tiresh looked over the hologram in front of her, which displayed the true scale and ambition of the project. She was glad to see that it would be as big as it was, as that allowed for there to be flexible additions to the scope and proposal. As Ellie Omera Ellie Omera asked if there were any questions on the front end of the conversation, she went to ask her question, but then paused... looking around to see if there was anyone else who looked like they were about to speak. She knew it probably wasn't the best for her fly-on-the-wall status to be the first one to respond, but she couldn't help it... she found herself raising her head slightly, catching Ellie Omera Ellie Omera 's attention.

"Yes. I'm grateful that you are highlighting the dangerous threat of the Bryn'adul. And we also can acknowledge the many other threats that loom at our doorsteps, and even within our combined borders..." Her eyes drifted across the room, as she was addressing the captain as well as the other representatives present.

"As we look to build this impressive space station which intends to stand boldly as a testament to our unified front against the darkness, I feel an urgency to strive for a tangible representation of our alliance... And so my question is this..." She turned her gaze fully back to the captain.

"Are there any current plans for this station to pursue any form of shared military and covert intelligence offices? I believe this would be a powerful display of not only our unity, but it would become a practical expression of that unity. At the Kobitana Foundation, we feel a strong conviction that our brutal and wicked enemies are multiplying, and that they intend to threaten peace and stability in the galaxy... and so we would like to offer our financial support for such an important initiative. We are prepared to offer 1.5 billion credits to strengthen the relationship between our intelligence agencies, and to pursue a true expression of militarized unity against the darkness in this region of space." She smiled and nodded, a signal that she had finished speaking.

"A show of unity between two beacons of light?" Her voice was mellow, but there was a hidden edge underneath. "A wonderful sentiment."

Annasari looked to the plans, nodding in response. A beautifully laid out station, one befitting it's purpose.

"I must agree with my colleague that the Bryn'adul are not the only threat; there is more to discuss on that front, but I shall hear the rest of your proposal, barring my colleagues do not have their own concerns."

Seto kept up his smile, he was certain that this station construction would go through, the only question that remained was where to build this symbol of trust between the two governments. He figured it wouldn’t exactly be the biggest deal breaker if the Silver Jedi Concord were convinced to move the station between Balmorra and Commenor. Though the mention of military and intelligence partnerships was something that Seto wasn’t entirely prepared for, nor the promise of a subsational amount of credits. The Senate Hearings are gonna love this. . .
He nodded his once as Senator Annasari made her statement in the affirmative to the station’s construction. The mention of the Bryn’adul, the terrors of the southern galaxy, gave Seto slight pause. The actions taken so far from the Alliance’s border were brought to question by the massive influx of refugees that have swept across the galaxy. Untold amounts of destruction and dread.
The young Du Couteau heir raised an eyebrow, “I only have a question of the location of the construction of this station. I know we wish to create a neutral territory, but perhaps you all may consider the border systems of Balmorra and Commenor?” Seto gestured quickly with his hands towards the holo-projection of the station.
“-But please, much like my colleagues, we wish to listen to the rest of your proposal.” Seto’s smile remained, ever warm and charming. His twin sapphire orbs for eyes inviting as he looked around the table.

“If I may,” L’yoom began, finally pulling her own seat as she began to sit down as everyone else arrived. She deemed it safe enough now that she didn’t need to be propped up any longer. Her grey gaze glanced about the table, hoping for no rejection of her motion. As she took a breath, she cleared her throat.

Suddenly-- this odd sense of talking in front of what was essentially a group effort-- was a daunting one indeed. There was a silence, quite a longer one that she had not intended. It almost seemed like she wanted to be sure everyone was listening, though it was clear on her expression as her eyes widened as everyone looked that she stared for a moment to grasp herself subconsciously.

“Um.”

Her eyes looked down at the seat she was on, finding she was a bit too far back from the table. She scooted the seat in closer to the table, making sure she was comfortable. Now she was too close to the table.

“The halfway point.” L’yoom began, thinking back to the days of her tribe, “Is a noble and fair justification… but should an emergency occur, who in that part region can be trusted to respond and who cannot be trusted?” She’d state, glancing toward Annasari, hoping she wasn’t displeasing her. As her eyes trailed back, they looked to Omera.

“It was traditionally accepted in my home world that a third trusted party of both tribes aid in trade when designated in the outlands of the third parties region. This helped keep both sides accountable for mistakes or… mistransections.” The word she was looking for was transactions but even still, there was still much for the eager L’yoom Ka to learn. “But even I can understand the risk of opening more doors, as well as the benefits.”

"Should a state of emergency occur, is there anyone trusted close enough to lend aid?"

Nico had very little in terms of questions or any kind of concerns without hearing the full proposition yet. But it seemed the rest of the group certainly did. An interesting thing, dealing with politicians. His eyes held a soft air of amusement as he shook his head.

"I have no questions about the topic you are discussing until I hear the rest of your proposal." His words addressed Ellie Omera Ellie Omera while he gave a look around to those that had spoken before him, giving a measured look and clearing his throat. "However."

"The Arsenian's are the people responsible for this particular planned station, and the idea of placing one between Balmorra and Commenor can certainly be drafted between our two groups directly. This is an offer by the people outside of our groups however and should be addressed first, which leads into my next point."
