What would you like to see from Braze?

I'm curious what people in the community might like to see me explore with Braze. Are there parts of his character you'd like to see more of, or situations you think would make for an interesting story?

You don't need to be pitching a thread with him; I'm interested in suggestions and discussion, too.

Braze has done a lot of things so its a bit hard for me to thing of ways to push him out of his comfort zone. But the idea I'm leaning towards the most could be Braze needing to learn to find his groove as a mentor. He's young and likes to soak up knowledge from many different peoples. So seeing how such a sponge of a character might need to become a role model themselves could be interesting.

I think at this point he has really established himself as a lone wolf outside of the Jedi. But what if he became traditional? Or was forced into a situation where he had to be? That would probably be really out of his comfort zone!

How could we force this little would thing to be traditional I wonder? Some of my more recent posts have been slowly pushing him towards a similar vibe narratively.

Connel was a lone wolf for a while, he still isn't totally social but he's more traditional. Very much "Don't do what I did..."

Braze maybe he gets arrested and instead of prison his sentence is to serve TJO? You’d obviously have to talk to them about that but tossing ideas out.

Captivity may be in the horizon but unlikely for the Thr. I doubt he'd be looking to break laws in their territory

  • Dealing with adversity, particularly a situation he can't easily sneak or charm his way out of.
• Is there a belief of his you'd like to see challenged?
  • His ideals in the Jedi Code. I would like to shatter Braze's remaining connections to the old Jedi ways and force him to come up with new ways to express his connection to the light side of the Force.
• What kind of situation would push him outside his comfort zone?
  • As mentioned above, being captured in a situation where no rescue is expected and no escape is likely. Even that might not be enough, so perhaps having Nines dissect all Braze's insecurities and throw them back at him over a long period of interrogation would work best.
• Is there anything about him you're curious about that hasn't come through in his threads?
  • Sadly I can't say I've read many Braze threads up until fairly recently. With that in mind, I am curious about his backstory: how he became a Jedi, how he met those close to him, how he ended up in the Unknown Regions, etc.
• What kind of relationship would you like to see him develop: a rivalry, a friendship, or something else?
  • Co-tormentors, in a sense. Nines would loathe Braze for the chaos and unpredictability he represents, on top of Nines' prejudice against Force users. Similarly, if Braze were to be captured by FN's men, one of the first things he would do is deprive Braze of his freedom and autonomy, which would certainly leave a mark.
• What would make you interested in writing with him?
  • I recall we were discussing elsewhere Braze potentially being captured by Nines. I am still interested in that story and I think it would be great to see where we can go from that premise.
• What's a story you think would suit him that I might not have considered?
  • Perhaps Braze finally finds true, lasting love and begins to consider the benefits and risks of truly opening himself up to another.
• If you could assign him one side quest, what would it be?
  • Run/create a space wildlife sanctuary
• What feature are we installing at the Build-a-Braze Workshop, and does it void his warranty?
