PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

For the most part there's no major distinctive feature that puts Bryngaar apart from his fellow Wookiees. He's a towering mass of fur and muscle, his fur a mix of differing shades of brown. His appearance gives away his very nomad-like lifestyle, with fur that is somewhat unkempt, and an untamable mane of hair atop his head. Bryngaar is often seen in his armour, of which heralds back to the older time within the galaxy. And despite his tall, imposing stature, Bryngaar is not one to use it to intimidate others, unless absolutely necessary.

INVENTORY

Crossguard/Claymore Lightsaber

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Bryngaar is a strong and determined individual, with a heart of gold. Despite having lost everyone he cared for, Bryngaar hasn't let it hold him down. Sure, there have been the times where he's missed them, recalled fond memories of the past. But he holds a firm belief that he was brought to this time for a reason. Bryngaar prefers to be just a bystander, rather than a leader. To play his small part to make the galaxy a better place. But there have been times where he's had to step into a leadership role to help those in need. And while his beliefs within the Force lean towards the Light, he acknowledges that the Force is more than just simple 'Light and Dark'.

STRENGTHS

Wookiee
- Bryngaar is a Wookiee through and through, he has the strength and durability that his kind are known for.
Jedi Trained - He's gone through everything that every Jedi has, from Padawan to Master. And while Bryngaar heavily favours using a sword, he has an arsenal of Force abilities at his disposal.
Gentle Giant - Bryngaar knows his natural stature can easily intimidate those around him. But he uses it to be a protector for those who are without. Sometimes you don't even need to lift a finger, just stare someone down until they back off.
Warrior - Between his training as a Knight and then a Jedi, Bryngaar has become an interesting amalgamation of the two. A warrior that has seen his fair share of battles, and a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the sword. Be it a lightsaber, or a more traditional blade.
Seer - Bryngaar has a gift of 'future sight', or rather Force Visions as its more colloquially known amongst Jedi. An ability bestowed to him as a consequence of how he arrived in the current time period.

WEAKNESSES

Walking Tall
- It's impossible for Bryngaar to be stealthy in any substainal way. His physical stature makes him stand out in a crowd. And while he is capable of being quiet, there is only so much you can do to silence the heavy footfalls of a Wookiee.
Strength, not Dex - Bryngaar is not the quickest on his feet, and it shows in the way he fights. It makes him more vulnerable when fighting someone who is faster, requiring him to call upon aid or utilize the Force to even the playing field.
Scars of a Slave - Despite how many years have passed, Bryngaar still spent a majority of his childhood as a slave. No matter how much training he's gone through, there will always be a part of him that'll act rashly towards any sights of slavery.

HISTORY

Bryngaar is not of this time.

He was born on Kashyyyk, during the time of the Galactic Empire, making him a slave for the majority of his childhood. Despite having been forcefully separated from his family, Bryngaar found solidarity amongst his fellow Wookiees. They were all in a way, one big family trying to survive the brutal conditions the Empire put them through. Manual labour kept him strong, despite the Imperials efforts to keep them all weak enough to not rebel. But one day they did, and a number of Wookiees were able to escape.

Bryngaar was one such person, having commandeered an Imperial shuttle. However, he was pursued by Imperial TIE Fighters, who were intent on shooting him down. He was able to get far enough to enter hyperspace, but not before passing through an anomaly. The result sent him slingshotting not just through space, but time as well.

Even when he reached the other side, Bryngaar was clueless to the fact he was no longer in the same time period. His focus was surviving as the ship went plummeting down towards the planet he had arrived at. It was a primitive world, seemingly untouched by the galaxy as a whole. Usage of the Force was seen as 'magic' and the world was divided up by numerous kingdoms, with kings, queens, knights, the whole lot. Bryngaar's physical appearance was certainly alarming to the populace, but he was eventually able to prove his worth, so much so that he over time learned how to be a Knight.

Years went on, and the planet was finally visited upon by the Jedi Order, whatever the main one was at the time. The representative took particular notice of Bryngaar, particular his gift for 'future sight'. Learning of the Force intrigued the Wookiee greatly, and with a desire to find his family, Bryngaar left the planet to learn the ways of the Jedi.

It was during that time, as he rose through the ranks from Padawan to Master, that Bryngaar learned he had been propelled into the future. The revelation had been devastating to him. But his Jedi training had kept him resolute, determined that even if he was separated from his kin, he'd keep their dream alive.

However, some years into his tenure as Master, Bryngaar felt dissastified being limited to the Order. He wanted to explore the galaxy, to learn how other cultures viewed and used the Force. It was not something he could do within the Jedi Order, where he was constantly thrust back and forth between one conflict or another. So he made the decision to leave, and become something of a nomad.

The next near two hundred years were spent travelling across the galaxy, learning and helping those that were in need. He avoided getting involved in any major conflicts, but there were the inevitable times he had to in order to protect those that could not defend himself.

And yet, as time went on, and history repeated, Bryngaar couldn't help shake the feeling he'd be drawn back into a war some day.
