GENERAL INFORMATION

• Unit Name: Draeyde Storm
• Affiliation: Tathra Khaeus | The Bryn'adûl
• Classification: Swarm Unit | Shielding Unit

• Description: Vicious creatures, hindered by their disgust of the sun. They are incredibly fast, agile and terrifying. They can tear men apart, mowing down and cutting through armour and flesh with ease. The superior storm under Tathra's command have blackened scales and deep red flesh. Hardened and more powerful than their lesser brethren, the Superior Draeyde cut through enemies with much greater ferocity and can endure greater damage than the simple Draeyde.

• Combat Function: Ranged defence & offence; offering an excellent offence against infantry and defence against ranged offensive measure.

Strengths:

• Flying Piranha: These Draeyde are incredibly fast. They tear apart humanoids and creatures in seconds, however have trouble with heavy armour of the equivalent to Beskar.
• Incredibly Loyal: Even without the force, Tathra was able to bend the Draeyde Storm to his wll
• Hard Target: Due to their speed and size, Draeyde are typically very difficult to hit with single fire or conventional weaponry. However when in flight, they travel as a sort of tendril through the air with the rest of their pack. Which, often allows a shooter to anticipate their movements and kill some of them.
• ​Defence: The Draeyde can act as a shield for Tathra, encircling his form in their endless shadow.
  
  

Weaknesses:

• Extreme Photosensitivity: The Draeyde have an extreme sensitivity to light, being caught in direct sunlight or a powerful enough beam of light can cause them to immediately burst into flame and quickly die. Additionally, Lightsabers can be used as reliable deterrents.
• Wall of Light: These creatures will die immediately if faced against a wall of light.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION:
​An evolution of the Draeyde; developed to adhere to Tathra's will as incredibly loyal beasts even without the assistance of the force. The Superior Draeyde were supplied to Tathra to compensate for his lack of force sensitivity.

The Superior Draeyde were far more difficult to tame, however ultimately proved to be intelligent enough to be tamed without assistance of the force. This has allowed the superior Draeyde to develop a deeper sense of loyalty to their master. Tathra's vicious hatred is only matched by their own, and his command is their will.

So, I have a few questions about this submission before we go on.

Hardened and more powerful than their lesser brethren.

Could you clarify what you mean by this? In the original species submission you mentioned that that the bats have 'The Draeyde have incredibly frail skin. A single blaster round could cause one to explode.' Are these a new sub-species of bat? How much more capable are they?

Coated with Ink: For use by the Bryn'adûl these bats are coated with a sort of ink to allow them to maintain in direct sunlight for very short times.

This ink seems to run contrary to the established weakness of the bats, and another one of your weaknesses, both of which I have quoted below.

From the Bat Species Sub:

Extreme Photosensitivity: The Draeyde have an extreme sensitivity to light, being caught in direct sunlight or a powerful enough beam of light can cause them to immediately burst into flame and quickly die. Additionally, blasters and lightsabers both are plasma based weapons that create an area of light from their shooters position. Both of these weapons can be used as reliable deterrents.

Extreme Photosensitivity: The Draeyde have an extreme sensitivity to light, being caught in direct sunlight or a powerful enough beam of light can cause them to immediately burst into flame and quickly die. Additionally, Lightsabers can be used as reliable deterrents.

This ink seems to act as a counter to sunlight which is their major weakness, especially given their established speed, it would only take them a few moments to escape the sunlight that might otherwise kill them. These seems to be offering a weakness with one hand but then countering it immediately with the other hand. I would recommend that you clarify how this works, or look at adding another weakness.
