Bryn'adûl Foundry's Fire

Antarik Grendrada

Guest
Amidst the cries of a thousand mutant beasts, the the thrum of a hundred weapons prototypes, and the strange song of the stones the Drael had bent to their use, Antarik Grendrada stood. His insectoid jaw was incapable of forming a smile, but his manic pleasure radiated from his form all the same. His arms were stretched out from his sides, his hands applying force fission to stones underneath to banks of vials. The viles on one bank were filled with naturally derived toxins, those on the other were filled with morbid concoctions of genetic material. The recipes were mixing. In real time, Antarik knew he was developing destiny.
The heavy doors of the laboratory ground open. In walked Lerropten, his steps measured but irregular. He was a tempest, as perceived by Antarik's force sense. He had brought with him an... innovation. Shrouded in mystery, it had been. It's revelation would prove pivotal for the Drael in their righteous crusade.
"Welcome, brother." Antarik said. "What destiny shall we forge today?"

Lerropten

My conclusion is logical.
The sounds of the many experiments of the Bryn'adûl was an interesting sound to Lerropten, but not anything out of the ordinary for the large being. Behind him, some drones pulled along a container that seemed to be rattle and crash around. A calling would come from inside the container a few times before the Shaman passed his hand over it, seeming to calm whatever was in there.

"If the creature has been injured by your inability to keep its transport pen stable, I have plans that drones could... assist me with." The drones just gulped and quickly followed behind the Shaman scientist as he finally pushed open the doors, and looked to [member="Antarik Grendrada"] . He walked over stretching his hand to the container.

"Something that will give us the logical advantage over our foes. An aerial advantage that neither the Draeyde Bats, nor the Ra'mak War Beast provide." He then pointed down, and the drones lowed the container and began to move away.

"Very good, my brother." Antarik droned. "If our kind is to claim it's rightful place as the image of the strong in the galaxy, we must transcend all of perceivable space. The land, we possess unequivocally. The waters we will learn to take. And here, you advance us to the skies."
The mad doctor began to pace around the cage, mandibles tapping with concentration. He reached out with the force and felt the beast's presence. He smiled darkly as the extent of the creature's power surpassed his perception. A few steps back from the cage. He reached out with the force and pulled the pin on the gate.
"I fear what comes forth. But fear of strength is something to be purged, not embraced. Beckon forth thy construct, brother. If my last gift is to feel its power, so be it."

Lerropten

My conclusion is logical.
The large Aeravalin nodded as the cage opened.

"Of course. Come!" Inside, an eerie blue light seemed to radiate from whatever was inside, and the creature slowly walked out on all fours. He looked at [member="Antarik Grendrada"] , trying to get a sense for what he thought of the creature that stood before him. It let out a roar and seemed ready to strike before the larger Drael called out to it, halting its advance. The beast roared again, revealing a split lower jaw, seeming to almost reluctantly follow the call to stop.

"I call her a Er'Dolar. Crafted with both the genetics and the Force. Powerful. Fear inducing. Though this particular individual is not fully grown yet, she should still allow for a logical evaluation." One of the drones came a little close, only to have the beast attempt to bite his head head off, and roar again.

Antarik shrunk back, feeling something like the fear often experienced by the impure. As far as his kind went, he was very weak physically. The sheer might of the beast overwhelmed him. He backed away until he bumped a table covered in instruments. He picked up a syringe from the table and stepped forward.
"A resounding accomplishment, brother." He chuckled. "Perhaps you could calm it while I take a sample?"

Lerropten

My conclusion is logical.
Lerropten seemed happy to see the reaction of [member="Antarik Grendrada"] . To see that the El'Dolar could put fear in his own kind was a surprising development. When asked if he would allow a sample to be taken, The large geneticist nodded. "Of course." Lerropten then reached out to the creature, both with the Force and with his own hand. It seemed to calm, allowing its creator to rub one its crests. "It should be safe now."

Antarik smiled a terrible smile as he inserted the syringe into the monster's arm. He extracted a full vial of blood, and then removed the syringe. He admired the vial of blood as if it were the key to a treasure chest.
"A worthy and impressive accomplishment, brother. Now I must reveal to you a plan of mine. Perhaps you know I have designed a weapon that can be used to extract the weaknesses of the impure. I have a vision for these essences that must be realized. A campaign is needed. A campaign to capture the weakness of the impure. Can I count on your assistance in this matter?"

Lerropten

My conclusion is logical.
Lerropten seemed to smile, at least as best as his kind could do, and walked over to another chamber. He opened it to reveal what looked like a "human" with an eye wrap over his "eyes."

"I have been trying to unlock the secrets of this strange being. I can feel an energy about them, and their vision is comparable to others, despite lacking eyes. Perhaps we could somehow use this species abilities to help in that matter. More experimentation is required. I have attempted splicing their DNA into our beast, but have had little success. Logically, it's possible that their genes simply cannot be added to our own."

Antarik's already manic smile grew wider and more intense. A miraluka, captured alive. A rare thing indeed. The geneticist was at a loss for words. Dreams of fusing the force-adept's DNA to his own tumbled through his mind. Force fission would look like a parlor trick then. He took another syringe from his table and approached the prisoner. The miraluka withdrew.
Antarik frowned. He was moving too fast. He returned to the table and set the syringe down. Then, he went to the side of a table where a level had been installed, and pulled the lever. A door hissed open and a cart rolled in on a set of rails. The cart was full of seed stones.
"How many times shall you impress me, brother?" Antarik asked. "This truly is a remarkable find. Leaps and bounds of progress shall be made. If we can extract weakness from this impure being, we will be well on our way to the next stage in my plan. And the implications of harnessing this wretch's DNA after he is broken? The wind reels."
Using the force, Antarik lifted a dozen seed stones from the cart and arranged them around the miraluka. The stones activated as soon as they were in position, glowing feint orange as they poked and prodded the weakness of their target's psyche. The miraluka tensed and grimaced as he felt the force invade his mind. Tendrils of unseen energy shot through his memories, going down to the foundations of all that made him weak. The found a terror, and brought it to the surface. Sweat beaded on the prisoner's brow as he gasped for breath. Eventually, though, he was forced to break to his knees. He began to wimper. Then he curled into a ball and cried like a child. The seed stones de-activated and were carried by Antarik's manipulation of the force to rest on the table.
"You can never tell who is truly a nihilist or a coward. I had wished for the former, but the latter will certainly do. Fear of the proper thing can be turned to unimaginable destruction."
