WEAKNESSES
- Only as Good as the Pilot: At the end of the day, the system is but a tool in the hands of the pilot, and it is on the pilot's onus to use that tool effectively.
- Only as Good as the Ship: Past a point, the system can only do so much for a ship. It cannot turn a large frame sluggish heavy bomber into a nimble interceptor.
- No Training Wheels: There is no 'easing' oneself into the system, it's features cannot be 'toned' down or diminished for a novice pilot. The systems advanced features are either on, or they're off. When they're off, the system functions more or less as a 'standard' etheric rudder/atmospheric thruster array.
- You Know What You're Doing: The system will never attempt to stop it's pilot from executing a maneuver that it calculates with relative certainty will result in the death of the pilot or destruction of the craft. As a famous Corellian smuggler once said, "Never tell me the odds."
- Power Fluctuations: Power fluctuations during critical moments can cause catastrophic system failures which can lead to the craft careening out of control.

The 'Redalur', or 'Dancer', in galactic basic, is designed to give a pilot maximum control of their craft. Rather than dramatically improve the maneuvering characteristics of the craft they're installed on, they instead focus on ensuring that the pilot can extract every single ounce of maneuvering capabilities from their craft. Particular importance is placed on allowing extreme control of the craft even at high speeds, allowing for computer assisted mid-course rotation in all any direction relative and without deviation from the craft's flight path.
The Redalur can also overcharge thrusters in a direction to provide a burst of movement in a particular vector to avoid obstacles or throw off an enemy's aim in close quarters. Additionally, at the cost of re-routing power from one or multiple other sub-systems to temporarily overcharge the thruster array and inertial dampeners to allow for a considerable albeit temporary maneuverability boost. The Redalur comes with powerful inertial dampeners to keep the crew safe during such maneuvers, as a result of the improved capabilities it provides.
That said, the Redalur is only as good as the pilot at the controls, and the systems assumes the pilot understands what they're doing and will never attempt to stop the pilot form executing a maneuver that it calculatures with relative certainty will result in the death of the pilot or destruction of the craft. Additionally, there is no 'easing' oneself into the system, it's features cannot be 'toned' down or diminished for a novice pilot. The systems advanced features are either on, or they're off. That said, there are few mechanical flaws with the system barring it's vulnerability to power fluctuations. Should they occur at critical moments during maneuvering, they can cause catastrophic system failures which can lead to the craft careening out of control.
