CEO of Breshig War Forge Consolidated
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To make a combat boot that combines a variety of useful technologies for use in later submissions as well as by Mandalorians.
  • Canon Link: N/A.
  • Permissions: N/A.
  • Primary Source: Master-Grav 1000 Boots, Magno-grip Boot and Gription.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • In-built sound baffling and auditory dampeners.
  • In-built retractable K-02M Kal (internal and Mandalorian model).
  • In-built retractable vibrodagger (closed-market model).
  • Rylith Power Cell.
  • FrictionGrip Soles: The FrictionGrip soles allow the boots to stick to smooth surfaces, and improve the boots' grip on slippery surfaces.
  • Magnetic Tractor Feature: The magnetic tractor feature allows a user to adhere themselves to a ferromagnetic surface or a non-magnetic surface.
  • Repulsor Boots: The boots employ repulsorlift fields to allow those who wore them to move at planes 45-180 degrees opposite normal gravity at an altitude of up to 150 meters. These fields can be reversed to hold the user in place in the face of environmental hazards or offensive force powers such as force push, alternatively, it can also allow users to scale sheer surfaces. This repulsors can also function in the same manner as jump servos.
STRENGTHS
  • Quiet: Thanks to the in-built sound baffling and auditory dampeners, the operation of both the repulsor and magnetic tractor function is actually very quiet, virtually indistinguishable from someone walking without armored combat boots.
  • Versatile: The boots put a variety of features at the user's disposal, including but not limited to increased jump height and distance, allowing them to scale sheer surfaces, moving at planes 45-180 degrees opposite normal gravity and even adhering them in place in the face of environmental hazards or force powers such as force push.
  • Resilient: The boots are well protected from blaster fire, projectile weapons, intense heat as well as EMP/Ion damage.
  • Light: The boots manage to remain easy to move in even with all their protection and features.
WEAKNESSES
  • EMP/Ion: While well protected against EMP/Ion damage, powerful enough EMP weapons will either reboot the boot's systems or in extreme cases fry the electronic components.
  • Power Supply Required: The Rylith power cell isn't designed for continuous use, and is in fact designed to be connected to an armor's integrated power supply. Powered by the power cell alone, there is only enough power for twelve hours.
  • Repulsor Jammer: Repulsor jammers will render a number of the functions of the boot non-functional.
  • Force: The boot has no defense against force based powers that disable technology or manipulate it.
DESCRIPTION
Designed as a means to improve upon their armor design, 'Nasreyc' combat boots were designed with the needs of the average Mandalorian in mind. After conducting considerable market research and analyzing combat data from Strill Securities units, Breshig War Forge Consolidated drew up the specifications for the Nasreyc. After considerable testing with independent contractors, volunteers from Strill Securities as well as internally, the company finally rolled out the first production models.

The boot's primary feature is its repulsor function, allowing users to move at planes 45-180 degrees opposite normal gravity up to an altitude of 150 meters. Additionally, because of the number of force users that Mandalorians tend to run into, the repulsors can be reversed to adhere the user to whatever surface they're standing on. This also could potentially be of use during high winds, sandstorms, snowstorms and other environmental hazards. This feature can also allow users to scale sheer surfaces, through compatibility with a armor or bodysuit integrated 'Gar Tkiriyr' Neural Interface or merely by the wearer exerting pressure on the heel of the boot to engage and disengage the reversed repulsors when they are in reversed repulsor mode.

Of course, due to the fact that repulsor lift jammers aren't exactly uncommon or rare even, as well as to give the boots capability to operate in low/zero-gravity environments, a magnetic tractor function was added. This function consists of magnetic soles that can be used to adhere the wearer to ferromagnetic surfaces, and a miniature tractor beam projector that can adhere the user to non-ferromagnetic surfaces. Like with the reversed repulsor function, the user can scale sheer surfaces with this function active in the same manner. While short ranged, the tractor beam can anchor and pull a user toward a surface from a distance of up to ten meters.

On top of this, the boots have a FrictionGrip coated sole, allowing them better traction on smooth surfaces, as well as allowing a user to stick to said smooth surfaces as well. A user could potentially climb a surface in this manner, but not as effectively as with the other two functions. The boots are also extremely resilient, being well protected from blaster fire, projectile weapons, intense heat as well as EMP/Ion damage. They manage to do this while managing to be light and easy to move in.

Unfortunately, they do have a few notable issues that the company makes sure to notify customers about. While well protected against EMP/Ion damage, powerful enough EMP weapons will either reboot the boot's systems or in extreme cases fry the electronic components. The Rylith power cell isn't designed for continuous use, and is in fact designed to be connected to an armor's integrated power supply. Powered by the power cell alone, there is only enough power for twelve hours. Finally, the boots have no real protection against force abilities that disable technology or manipulate it.
