ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • N/A
Strengths:
  • Expeditious: With its unusually fast engines and hyperdrive, especially for a civilian model, the Breeze-class is perfect for the traveller in a hurry.
  • Comfortable: Similiar to the Gust-class, the Breeze-class is built with comfort in mind, though its design is less spacious.
  • Safety-Oriented: With powerful shielding and a cockpit that can double as an escape pod, the Breeze-class is built to keep its passengers safe, though its lack of armaments means that it stands little chance in a prolonged encounter with, well, anything.
Weaknesses:
  • Civilian: Possessing no offensive capabilities short of being used as a glorified battering ram, the vessel is solely intended for civilian use; if requested, VCH's engineers could certainly add an autoblaster or the like to the vessel to deter thieves, a tribe of ewoks, or a couple lightly armoured assailants, but that's about it.
  • Comfortable: With its focus on comfort, the Breeze-class is not well suited for bulk transportation, whether of people or of goods.
Description:
After the success of the Gust-class shuttle, it was decided that VCH would launch a new line of smaller civilian shuttles. Unlike the Gust-class, the Breeze-class is more compact and has less potential for customisation, though these are both primarily due to space concerns. It does, however, sport similarly powerful engines and an equally fast hyperdrive, making it well suited for the traveller in a hurry.

While primarily intended to serve as a planet-to-planet transport, the vessel can be used as a long-range shuttle for capital ships, though the lack of weaponry makes them a rare choice for military vessels.

Miscellaneous Information:
  • Crew: 1 minimum (Pilot), 3 optimal (Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Engineer).
  • Passenger Capacity (Standard): 20+ Passengers or 8 Passengers in Staterooms.
  • Decks:
Cockpit: Typically features three seats in the front and another four in the back, with the front three for crew and the back four for security guards or additional passengers. The Cockpit is detachable, allowing it to serve as an escape pod in an emergency; it is worth noting, however, that it would be incredibly cramped if the vessel is loaded to capacity with passengers.
  • Main Deck: Taking up the bulk of the vessel's open space is the Main Deck, which is also the most readily customisable part of the vessel. This is typically where the passengers spend most of their time, with the entry ramp extending from the back of this compartment.
  • Engineering Crawlspace: Aside from a small section where the engineer can monitor the ship's systems, most of the "crawlspace" is actually too small for most organics, being instead tended to by a complement of tiny repair droids.
