An up-and-coming company in the beverage creation and manufacture business, Brayde Brewing and Distilleries focus primarily on creating a bevy of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to be sold on an intergalactic market. Various organic growth facilities, processing plants, and distilleries are located on the agriworlds of Kinyen and Moorja, while fruits and other organic materials that require a tropical climate to produce profitable yields are grown on Bestine IV. Striving to constantly produce new formulas and ingredients, many different kinds of off-world organic material are bought, grown and processed by BBD's testing facilities on Bestine IV; if a new formula makes the cut, it falls on Kinyen and Moorja to produce the bulk of the ingredients.
After production is finished, the final product is shipped in tankers to Fondor, which contains canning/bottling facilities as well as specialized trading docks to be able to efficiently distribute the finalized product to the galaxy. BBD controls essentially an entire mercantile fleet devoted to transporting BBD's products to every nook and corner of the galaxy. Besides being the location of BBD's manufacturing plant, Fondor also hosts the administrative headquarters of the company, which doubles as a nightclub; the Forever Starshine. The nightclub bost acts as the business and administrative headquarters of Brayde Brewing and Distillery, but also as essentially a walking advertisement where people from all over the world can come and sample BBD's products.
In addition to Forever Starshine, Brayde Brewing and Distillery operates a number of different nightclubs, casinos and cantinas throughout the galaxy. Each venture is stocked with the finest of Brayde's products, and it is BBD's promise that no kind of drink ever runs out. In addition to that, operations and locations that are not owned exclusively by BBD but want to sell BBD products are able to sign a contract, and upon approval receive recurring shipments of various beverages from BBD.
RATIONALE
Being High Marshal of the Confederacy Defense Force is great, but does not come with much business experience in tow. Kiff's first corporate venture, collectively called Brayde Industries, succeeded only ever in producing a couple of prototype ship designs and blaster schematics that were picked up by the Confederacy. With a sinking chance for a successful business model, Kiff eventually sold Brayde Industries to a small Fondor-based company, in exchange for a lot of credits and a small stake of the company itself. With a large amount of cash in hand, Kiff decided to wait before investing in yet another idea of his. While his first company had been centered around his passion for space travel, this one was centered around his second passion; drinking.
And thus, Brayde Brewing and Distilleries was born. It was surprising how much influence the rank of High Marshal could get on agriworlds such as Kinyen and Moorja, and soon multiple farming facilities and distilleries were set up on both planets, producing base alcoholic drinks that were circulated primarily in the Bassadro sector. With profits growing, Kiff expanded his operations to include Bestine IV, the tropical world ideal for growing more exotic produce, and Fondor, a manufacturing beast within the Confederacy as well as a giant of trade. BBD's operations will only continue to expand, and with Kiff at the helm there's no telling what direction it will head in.
