The Galactic Alliance was new to him. He had known of it, by bits and pieces of reputation, but joining it's New Jedi Order had not been something he'd planned on until recently. But in the end, he had found himself wanting to serve as a Jedi on a grand scale, not just flying a certain one's flags. He was past that, long ago. He had offered his service to the NJO and offered to take in their Padawans all the same as the ones he had been teaching thus far. This would be his first time teaching a student under the NJO banner, and while Josh was indeed a combat Jedi, he certainly hoped he knew enough about the NJO's ways to get her to where she needed to be.
The NJO's Temple was where her first class would begin. Padawan Tess would find herself in the schedule training room, at the end of the room being where the Jedi Master sat, facing away from her, sitting down cross-legged as he appeared to be in a state of meditation. Upon her arrival, brimming brown eyes flickered open as he would slowly rise to his feet, his expression without even an inch of emotion as he looked back.
"Welcome, Padawan. What is your name?"
