BRAHLIS LYDECK
Bray-Lis Lie-Deck

FACTION: The Omega Protectorate
RANK: Lieutenant of the Protectorate Navy
SPECIES: Kiffar
AGE: Twenty Eight

SEX: Male
HEIGHT: Five Foot Eleven Inches
WEIGHT: Eighty Two Kilograms
EYES: Amber
HAIR: Jet Black
SKIN: Fairly colored though he does darken to light shades of brown when exposed to excessive amounts of sunlight
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
.Military Training: From a young age to his mid twenties Brahlis served under the Republic as a soldier as was thus privileged to the Armies extensive training regime. Although his knowledge is not extensive he does possess skills with various weapons of different ranges. He tends to favor a combination of weapons that offer him diversity in many situations.
-Pistols: Skilled
-Slugthrowers: Proficient
-Sniper Rifle: Proficient
-Vibroblade: Skilled
-Grenades: Proficient

.Piloting: Despite his lack of knowledge in how things actually work, Brahlis considers himself a reasonably skilled pilot. This is not to say he hasn't had his fair share of accidents, collisions or successfully been used as target practice. But he does know evasive maneuvers and basic skills to keep him alive when in a dogfight. Like many in the Galaxy he prefers to avoid confrontation when in transit and takes solace in enjoying the journey to different locations. - SPECIALTY

.Linguist: This particular skill was inherited from his days in the Republic Army, and his natural curiosity for exotic life. Brahlis understands a small handful of languages that seem common in the Galaxy such as:
.Republic Basic: Fluent
.Shyriiwook: Understands
.Huttesse: Understands
.Twi'leki: Fluent
.Binary: Understands
.Rodese: Learning

.The Diplomat: Negotiations, compromise, trade, equivalent exchange and speech. These were things he learned outside of the Republic Armies usual training regime in a program designed to assist soldiers defuse conflicts through words and speech (if applicable). Due to his natural proficiency in the basics of this field he was transferred to begin his training in negotiations and diplomacy. He would be used to resolve disputes through mediation first and fears for his life were put at a minimum due to his basic training as a Soldier. Primarily Brahlis strives for peaceful resolutions but if they fail he switches to 'Aggressive Negotiations'. This skill paired with his skills in Linguistics and his ability to be Culturally Sensitive make this one of his specialties. - SPECIALTY

.Strategist: Although he possesses skills on formations and battle strategies he is in no way a master of the art and instead knows what he requires to survive. Despite his knowledge saving him countless times it has more been luck mixed with sloppy thinking on the oppositions side. Due to the nature of the Galaxy and its numerous threats Brahlis has forced himself to carry equipment that cater to unexpected situations.

.Culturally Sensitive: Brahlis has always been fascinated with other sentient lifeforms and the different cultures they possess. This paired with the travel opportunity of a Republic Soldier sparked his thirst for etiquette and different species histories. He considers himself a sensitive person when in the presence of other lifeforms and makes it his personal goal to be polite and understanding to others. This is more a hobby and fascination.

.Fear of the Force: One of the things that has terrified Brahlis was those that used, an Mastered, the mystical power known only as the 'Force'. He has seen and unfortunately encountered many whom had possessed the talent to wield the invisible power and has come to the conclusion that it is a skill that can easily corrupt causing devastation and destruction in its wake. During his early career as a Republic Soldier he was unfortunate enough to encounter a wielder of the dark side of the Force. He narrowly escaped with his life, though the "fight" left him with permanent reminders. Were it not for his fellow soldiers he would not have lived to tell the tale.

.Weak Poker Face: An innate weakness that he has never been able to surpass, Brahlis cannot lie to save himself thus was shortlisted when he applied for special ops missions relating to espionage. Because of this downfall he has lost a years worth of wages in gambling. Despite this weakness though he finds himself adept at negotiations and bartering as the second party eventually realizes his lack of talent in deception, making his conviction all the more believable.

.Mechanically inept: Not so much a natural downfall but more a lack of passion to learn the finer art of mechanical workings. As a newly founded scout and explorer this can serve as a large disadvantage especially with his ship models reputation of malfunctioning hyperdrives. Again, Brahlis has lost money on maintenance or hiring a temporary engineer to serve on his ship whilst he explores the Galaxy. In saying this he knows the very basics of maintenance, but not enough to consider himself self sufficient.

.No Nerves of Steel: Fear. Its an emotion that grips his heart, his lungs, his throat and his guts every time he finds himself in a situation involving conflict. It radiates off him, whispers in his ears telling him to turn the other way and run. Although he is courageous enough to ignore these whispers its something that always chips away at him with each passing second. In saying that this fear gives him an acute awareness but one whom specializes in mind games could easily use that to their advantage.

ARSENAL:

DC-15s Side Arm Blaster:
BlasTech's DC-15s side arm was a heavy blaster pistol that fired charged plasma bolts. While not as powerful as regular DC-15 Pistols, the DC-15s was handy in close-quarters combat, or when conserving ammo was necessary. The DC-15s had a recharge rate of seven rounds per second and was capable of eight consecutive shots with energy fully recharged, after eight shots, the user had to wait for recharge of energy for at least one shot to fire again.
.250 Shots
.Close Range Stun setting available

.Optimum Range up to 30m
.Maximum Range up to 100m
.Holstered on right hip

shotgun_zpscc87a56b.png

FWG-5 Flechette Pistol:
The FWG-5 was smaller and easier to handle than the Fletchette Pistol FWG-1, and had the stopping power of a heavy blaster pistol. It was loaded with flechette-filled pellets instead of heavy canisters, and featured a miniature laser tracking system that tagged targets with an electronic homing signature. This enabled the weapon's pellets to track and follow the target's movements, and make a course correction while in flight. Upon reaching a range of three meters from the target, the pellet would explode, releasing twelve millimeter long micro flechettes in a shotgun style method of attack. This hail of flechettes would be propelled forward by the pellets momentum, spreading out to the radius of a meter or so to puncture and strike a target, often with enough force to pierce Blast Vests.

.8 Flechette Pellets
.62 Heat Energy Blasts
.Optimal Range of up to 10m
.Maximum Range of up to 20m
.Holstered on back of hip

vibro_zps80f43203.png

Vibrodagger:
As in all vibroweapons, the vibrodagger used an energy cell to create rapid vibrations which increased its cutting power with little effort on the part of the wielder. It was balanced enough to allow it to be used as a thrown weapon. This small weapon was favored by assassins and petty thugs
.

.Holstered on chest strap

DLT-20A Blaster Rifle:
The BlasTech DLT-20A blaster rifle was a long-barreled rifle (sometimes referred to as a 'longblaster') with a top-mounted rangefinder and electronic sight. It had automatic and semiautomatic settings, and possessed a rate of fire very close to that of the DC-15A Blaster Rifle and other longblasters. This was one of the few blaster models produced with a magnatomic adhesion grip, keeping the weapon firmly in the wielder's grip and making it more difficult to disarm. With additional collimating rings and longer conduits of galven circuitry, these rifles have improved consistency in their shots
.

.30 Shots
.Automatic Fire Available
.Optimum Range of up to 45m
.Maximum Range of up to 450m
.Holstered on back

Smoke Grenade:
Smoke grenades (called "smokers" in military jargon) released a cloud of obscuring smoke that lasted for one minute. They had a variety of uses, such as creating smoke signals for landing zones, aerial attacks, or evacuation. They were also used to block the sight of enemy forces or to create chaos in a crowd.

Concussion Grenade (Sonic):
This kind of concussion grenade does not detonate in a traditional sense. The common blast radius was 4 meters, fairly large for a hand-held explosive. It created only the sonic shockwave, stunning anybody hit by it rather than killing or wounding them.

Flash-bang Grenade:
A flash-bang grendade, also known as flash bomb, was a weapon that, when thrown, blinded and deafened the target rather than harming them, allowing the user to either attack or flee. Most modern versions disrupted the senses of both organics and in-organics such as droids.

[member="Lydeck"] So first off, many props to your for the use of images, and very well detailed strengths and weaknesses - as well your signature rocks!

I think you may have forgotten something; an actual history of the character.

[Member=Evad]
Yes, to be honest I was wanting to read up on the sites history, lore and major factions (particularly the Republic and Protectorate as well as their main enemies) so that I can make a relevant background that actually relates to the sites timeline. Not only that but major characters who may have influenced the Republic so i can make a few 3rd party references.

Hopefully I can start the history very soon.
