- Dark Arrow: Created through channeling the Dark along the strings of the Bow, the Dark Arrow is a physical arrow formed entirely from the Dark Side of the Force; looking extremely similar to the plasma arrows of the Nightsisters of Dathomir and being similar to the spears created through Darkshear. Being an arrow made out of the Dark, abilities like Force Barrier can weaken this arrow with abilities like Force Light serving to eradicate it entirely. It is also nullified by anything that would normally nullify the Force. However, despite the drawbacks, the arrow has its own advantages in that its strikes spiritually as well as physically. If the target is weak of will, the Darkness of the arrow will seep into them, driving them to an uncontrollable anger whilst simultaneously attacking the body (in a manner similar to Force Affliction/Plague).
- Runic Inscription: The bow is capable of holding 12 specially crafted arrows that can collapsed and snapped into form (they are extended and locked into shape by the motion of drawing the strings back). However, the special thing is what can be done to the arrows while they are being loaded. Using the same Runic Array of Ziggra'nar, Pac'mor'ah, Telamath and Korribunious as Lykos' cybernetic arm Kaji het Kal'Vyshde, Lykos is able to inscribe small runic arrays onto the arrow before firing, giving them a vast range of uses. Of course, upon firing the arrow, the Dark nature of the Sith Runes means that the arrow will be slightly 'visible' through the Force and that something that would normally nullify the Force plus Force Light will render the arrow a standard arrow.
Strengths:
- Collapsible so as to be transported easier.
- Capable of firing Rune Inscribed or Dark Arrows.
- Capable of holding up to 6 collapsed arrows (and locking them into shape by drawing the strings back) as well as automatically reload.
- Though relatively easy to carry when collapsed, it is still a half meter hunk of plasteel and durasteel, so it is not exactly a breeze to carry constantly.
- Due to being finely tuned to provide the highest efficiency possible, a single knock can mean that the bow will require repairs.
- When creating and firing a Dark Arrow, the bow effectively serves as a beacon of Darkness, something that does not align well with stealth.
DESCRIPTION:
Created by Darth Lykos to serve as both a personal weapon for himself and as a weapon to represent the seat of The White Assassin / Aspect of Conquest within the Sith Assassins, the Bow of White Ash is relatively unremarkable in and of itself, being a simple compound bow constructed out of plasteel and durasteel. However, it's true beauty lies within the arrows and the wire that string it.
Soaked in Lykos' own Blood, the strings are capable of conducting the Dark Side through them with the bar that they are wrapped around at the draw point serving as a focus for the Dark Energies, making it possible for Lykos to draw back the strings to form an arrow comprised of the Dark Side of the Force given physical form. The automatic reloader and carrier of arrows (set bellow the end of where the arrow would rest and above where the hand would grip) is what assists in making the standard arrows special, a Runic Array inscribed on the inside in Lykos' Blood making it possible for Lykos to inscribe Runes upon an arrow after it is loaded in place. The arrows are already kind of special, though, being collapsible so as to be able to be stored and capable of locking into the proper shape when pulled to their maximum length (achieved through the drawing of the string).
Due to the fact that the bow can be collapsed into a more compact form, Lykos tends to carry it either on his back or at his side, however, it is not always practical for him to do so as even compacted, the bow is a hunk of plasteel and durasteel and can interfere with maneuverability.
