"It isn't often that I'm asked to bring a catch in alive."

Reina muttered to herself as she pushed the repulsorlift forward, glancing down towards the containers filled with various aquatic life she had been hired to bring in, alive. It had been an easy enough job for her. The biggest pain had been trying to drag the containers whilst below the waves. But she was basically built for any job below the waves. One upside to having been turned into some kind of Sithspawn. She rolled her eyes at that thought, resting her arms against the handle of the repulsor lift, leaning up against it.

"Almost there...Wonder if this is what 'Lexis gets up to with her delivery jobs. Least she doesn't need to go and catch packages."

Was she crazy for talking to herself? Maybe. But it kept Reina focused. This had been a relatively easy job for Reina, so she hadn't been too stressed. There was no need for her to use Whisperwind. It was a nice bloodless job. Evidence to her that she could get through things without needing to hurt people. But she couldn't see herself making a living out of these jobs. They'd get boring, way too fast. It was also somewhat lonely work, but she was used to being alone. So it wasn't as if that was a negative for her.

Either way, Reina found herself at the location she was meant to drop the stuff off. Checking her datapad for a moment, Reina then brought her communicator up to contact Vakhari Lutris Vakhari Lutris , clearing her throat a little bit.

"Ahem. Miss Lutris? This is Dawn. I've got your delivery at the location. Do you want me to just leave it here and head back to my ship?"

Dawn. The alias Reina had started to use for her mercenary work. She wanted to keep this work away from her private life in a way. Ironically enough, what Reina didn't know is that more than likely, her employer would know Dawn wasn't her real name. Or at least not the name Valaine had used when Reina had attacked the spire. Whilst Reina had no clue who her employer was, or what they looked like, it was very likely that the opposite was not true.

It was never an easy job, never meant to be. Sure it was bloodless, no lives were taken... But it was a major pain collecting several types of aquatic life, and for what?

The location for the drop off was beyond the comforts of any city, town or even village. It was remote, and in the early hours such as this? All was tranquil, nothing but the wilds as the waves gently crashed into the cliffs below.

"Ahem. Miss Lutris? This is Dawn. I've got your delivery at the location. Do you want me to just leave it here and head back to my ship?"

Her presence came to be in a sudden jolt, like a faint static as her now only muffled force rippled like the waves. The doctor herself distorted into view as it looked like she stepped right out of the nearby tree itself, the young Lutris was both parts thinker and foxily hider.

"Well done, a rather mundane task for some I am sure. Your payment is being processed, unless credits aren't your style."

The girl sighs, walking over to where Reina and the newest collection of samples was.

"Isn't it nice?"

She asks her vague question while inspecting one of the caught fish, smiling a bit as she took in the more simplistic qualities of life.

"The um- The scenery of course, not the fish."

Vakhari laughs a little as she gestures for Reina to follow, taking a seat at an improvised seating area.

"Why not sit down and share a drink? I have fresh coffee!"

Even if Reina didn't decide to partake... It was clear that the petite woman was going to indulge in the coffee either way.

"Oh. So you heard me...talking to myself."

Great job Reina. You've made yourself seem crazy to your employer. She did tilt her head however as she tried to wrap her head around the way Vakhari had managed to hide herself in the manner she had. It wasn't like the Force Cloak she had been taught...Interesting. Though stealth wasn't entirely her forte. She was familiar enough with people hiding their Force signature but she wouldn't pry. It wasn't what she was paid to do. And if she was paid to ask questions...Force Bless whoever was unfortunate to hire her for that.

"I'll take whatever credits I can. A girl's gotta eat and everything. Whilst I could live off fish, the taste gets boring after a while."

Fish was a staple of her diet...but it didn't hurt to spice it up with something that was a bit more expensive every now and then. As Vakhari spoke about the scenary, Reina took a look around, raising an eyebrow at how tranquil and quiet it was. Reina never quite liked it when the wild was as quiet as this. It always made the hair on the back of her neck stand up. Yet she shook her head, deciding it wasn't important.

"I suppose I can have some coffee. I'm not in a rush to get going anywhere."

Reina followed Vakhari off to the seating area, sitting herself down and crossing one leg over the other. Leaning up against her chair, she glanced over towards Vakhari, giving the other girl an awkward smile.

"If you ever need anythin' else collected from beneath the waves, be sure to call. It's where I do my best work."

The benefits of having gills she supposed. It was time for coffee anyway. Better caffeine than alcohol for Reina. There was a part of her that missed being able to drink like a sailor, but she had to move onto more...healthy alternatives.

VJqHYP0.png

"Oh. So you heard me...talking to myself."

"Mhm."

She goes for a sip of her freshly made coffee, it was easy to see she had more to say before the urge to drink took over.

"Ah... So much better. Anyway, yes I suppose I did."

Before the girl fully goes in for another sip, her eyes inspect Reina.

"There is no need to be weary of the silence, nothing out here but us and the waking nature around us. Besides, I would know if some animal came too close."

Unless Reina wanted to miss out on coffee she would just have to take the strange doctor's word.

"Care for noodles?"

Being oddly generous, Vakhari offers an already heated travel lunch. Seasoned noodles in a savoury broth, packed nicely in a cup.

"Nothing fancy, but you did say you gotta eat right?"

Getting into her own she sets the open cup aside, letting the steam rise out.

"You get around quite a lot, don't you? How long have you been doing this whole-"

She gestures to all of Reina.

"Thing. I know many in the galaxy take this kind of work under their belt, but you don't seem like a typical mercenary to me."

It was a turn of events to be sure, the last time she remembered seeing this person they were in some armor... And she did try to blow them up.

She sipped at her coffee, enjoying the warmth that rushed through Reina's system. A small sigh escaping her lips as she glanced over at the offer for noodles.

"Sure. I've been having noodles plenty recently."

There was that recent meeting with the DeathDrop where Reina had been dragged in to have some noodles. It was a nice change up to her diet compared to just fish, fish and more fish. Either way, she broke into the little container to start eating away, taking a moment before she answered Vakhari's question. Food was more important in this moment.

"Not long. Been moving from place to place. Coruscant was where I stayed for the longest. Now I go where the tide takes me. Try to be a bit specific about what jobs I take. A mercenary has to have some lines they don't cross."

No hurting kids, no killing innocents, y'know. The usual for someone who felt like they were a "good" person. Reina waved her hand as she spoke, whilst keeping the other firmly wrapped around her cup, sipping at the broth every so often.

"It's been...exciting to say the least. Lots of jobs I never expected to go through. Also been a pain in the neck."

The strange woman smiles, seeming to take satisfaction in Reina partaking in the little offered mealtime.

"Coruscant... I- I did indeed spend time there some years ago, I lived within the lower levels."

This girl? Down that far? She hardly looked the part, didn't seem to act the part, and if Reina did casual looking about her employer? She'd know this petite creature in front of her was of high class blood, hardly someone that would ever be found in such a place.

"During those years I never did have credits for anything."

She takes out some chopsticks, slowly twirling a noodle around it.

"But I was never poor."

Was this a riddle? Perhaps some prank?

"I had no credits, yet I got just about whatever I needed or wanted. And why is that?"

The girl taps at her head.

"If we find our purpose, hone what we do best? You don't need credits, for others will seek you to do what they cannot."

Vakhari figures this might be confusing, however she was ever the teacher.

"I had wealth in knowledge, skill. My passion and precision made me the go-to for anything technical or surgical, my skill made it so I was respected and valued. Food, drinks, even people making sure I was protected."

The way she described it, the doctor spoke as if she had lived as closely to royalty as you could get in such a place.

"Bah, I am sure I sound like a loon!"

To which she had no issue with such a thing, laughing a little before slurping down a noodle.

"It continues to sadden me how few people find purpose, they may think they found it... But they have not."

If anything she herself viewed the galaxy as losing purpose, yet those more radical views remained hidden to many.

"My ramblings aside, you said your work tends to be a pain in the neck? Have you always done mercenary work?"

Her eyebrow perked up when Vakhari mentioned living on Coruscant. The Lower Levels of all place. She had never visited there much herself. Reina knew she wouldn't have been much help to people down there, even if she had been a Jedi Padawan.

"I don't get tech that well. Nor can I do any healing. Intelligence isn't something I've ever been gifted with. I'm more of a...blunt instrument. Of course, my previous employment didn't much...agree with that. I was meant to be diplomatic. Pacifistic. Forgiving."

Strangely enough however, Reina could understand Vakhari. What she meant about being poor but not having whatever you needed. It's because you were seen as someone important. Something Reina had never saw herself as. She was just a grunt, lower than the average person. Reina had always wanted to be something notable. Someone that people would know of...but alas, it seemed like that wasn't in the cards for her.

"Trust me. You don't sound like a loon. I'm used to people smarter than me talking. Sometimes I feel like I can actually understand you guys."

She gave a simple shrug of her shoulders as she ate some more of her noodles before taking a sip of coffee, her gaze firmly set ahead of her. There was a lot more Reina wanted to say about herself, but you don't exactly trauma dump on a stranger, especially your current employer.

"I haven't always done mercenary work, no. I used to work...with refugees. Help those who were struggling. I wasn't cut out for it. Now? I help deliver fish and deal with the undead whilst having droids aim blasters at me. A lot more enjoyable I must say."

The sarcasm wasn't hidden in her voice as she sighed to herself. Being a Jedi had been a lot more comfortable for her...but at the end of the day, she didn't have anyone saying she wasn't cut out for this work. It paid enough. And she was alive. It was all she needed.

"Diplomatic, pacifistic, and forgiving? An interesting set for sure, diplomacy isn't so bad. It can be a wide range of things, one could say we are using it right now to sort out payment and conversation."

Vakhari could easily see how Reina ended up here, not just sitting here with the doctor no no.. She understood why this person gravitated away from the Jedi to take a more wild path in life.

"As for forgiveness? To me it depends, as with so many things in life we can't look at a black and white. We should look at the key details and decide from there, I have been practicing forgiveness myself."

She speaks coyly, a simple grin on her soft face.

"You look down upon yourself, anyone is able to learn and better understand. I believe that there are no bad students, simply lazy teachers. If your student doesn't seem to understand the more typical way others have learned, it is the responsibility of the teacher to find a way that works. Think of it like one of those little puzzle games for kids, where they need to put the right shape through the correct hole."

Vakhari is sure to raise a finger before Renia could comment on such a simplification.

"I know I know, the point is to look at the act. If you are trying to shove the wrong piece through the wrong hole, you won't get anywhere right? Just as if you push an incompatible method of teaching to a student, they are more likely to get frustrated, moody, rebellious. It leaves them in a state where their mind tells them they can't do it, that there is no way to learn."

The girl of course takes a break for a moment, enjoying her drink before letting out a satisfied sigh.

"If a teacher cannot be bothered to find a shape that fits, then they have failed their student."

A teacher was a guiding hand, and without proper guidance the student becomes lost.

"Your time with those refugees, how was it? What all did you do?"

She supposed after talking so much it was only fair to give Renia time to not only think over all the doctor had said, but to also share her own thoughts while Vakhari slurped down some noodles.

Diplomacy wasn't something that ever appealed to Reina. Who wanted to hear her talk? Who was she to speak for anyone except for herself? It was better left to people who had the sensibilities for it. Like Vakhari seemed quite good at talking if Reina was being honest.

"It's different when they expect me to forgive the person who experimented on me. Who altered who I am."

She sighed to herself at that, having no clue what Vakhari meant about practising forgiveness. Because why would Reina truly know how her employer was? She had no reason to look into the other girl's background. Though if she had truly thought about it, a proper Mercenary would have done research into whoever was hiring them, to make sure they weren't being manipulated...but Reina was still new to the idea of being one

Vakhari's analogy about puzzle games partly went over Reina's head as she tilted her head to the side, trying to figure out what they meant. It felt far too easy to put all the blame on the teacher in this situation. Sometimes the student was the problem. Sometimes it was the student who was the failure, like Reina had been. Though for some reason, she felt as if Vakhari wouldn't take too kindly to the idea of a student insulting themselves that way, so she kept quiet. Instead focusing on the topic change, to what Reina had done with the refugees.

"It was Hellish. I couldn't do anything right, it felt. We operate in someone else's territory, and I'm the bad guy for suggesting we stop when we're asked to."

Reina left out some details to the story. Too many details would tie her back to the Jedi. Something she didn't want this part of herself to be tied to. So she didn't mention how it had been Mandalorian territory, how she had practically thrown her hands up into the air and said it'd be fine to just leave it all to them then.

"Or when I was helping deal with slavers that were kidnapping refugee children...and some ridiculous guy in some vigilante get up turned off my lightsaber so I'd get my leg cut off, because it's "wrong to kill". But it's totally alright to let slavers go."

The Ersansyr took a short breath to try and calm herself down. She could feel herself getting heated and she didn't want to take out any frustrations on Vakhari who was just listening to Reina talk about her worries. Instead she ran her hand down her face, taking a quick sip from her coffee once more.

"Sorry. I just...It pisses me off when people think they know better."

VJqHYP0.png

"It's different when they expect me to forgive the person who experimented on me. Who altered who I am."

The girl taps at her chin, mulling over that information for a little while as she let Reina continue on.
"It was Hellish. I couldn't do anything right, it felt. We operate in someone else's territory, and I'm the bad guy for suggesting we stop when we're asked to."

No doubt, how could you ever feel confident in your actions if those you trusted put you down for suggesting such? Vakhari's own views on morality were esoteric at best... Down right unknowable at worst. Sometimes we need to commit to actions deemed evil by others for the good of everyone...

I couldn't do anything...

The words sank deeply into her mind, their taste sour. But it seemed to continue getting worse as Reina went on further, the doctor sensing their frustration and anger.
"Or when I was helping deal with slavers that were kidnapping refugee children...and some ridiculous guy in some vigilante get up turned off my lightsaber so I'd get my leg cut off, because it's "wrong to kill". But it's totally alright to let slavers go."

A curious way to go about it, while the topic of slavery wasn't something that interested her- She did ponder on the whole ordeal, this image forming in her mind.

"No need to apologize, I do think I would be understandably upset as well."

A drastic understatement.

"Your life seems rather turbulent, which sadly seems to be the standard at which people live in this galaxy."

A small sliver of how the girl really felt, deployed to see if Reina would react in any way to it, or perhaps think on it.

"You said you were experimented on?"

Frustration. Anger. It had all been things that Reina had told to let go of. But without them, what was she? Who was she? The reason she had survived all of her trials had been because of spite. Her refusal to let herself lose. She had tried to become peaceful. To become more caring...yet because of that, she had kept losing. Reina had learned peace...but she had also learned how to lose. Something she despised with a passion.

It was taking all she had to keep her emotions under control. Breathing in at a steady rate, as she tried to rely on the few meditation methods she knew of. Gently counting in her head before she turned her head over towards Vakhari when the other woman said how turbulent Reina's life was, and how there were others within the Galaxy who had somewhat similar.

"It was always why I wanted to be a Knight. Someone who could bring Light to the others suffering...but it's a pointless effort. Real Heroes are selfless. They dedicate themselves to something I can not. I am ultimately a no-one. Just a garden variety Mercenary. One of millions."

Her hand waved through the air, before her attention then went towards Vakhari with a frown.

"Ah. That. Yes. It was...done by someone who was similar to my...tutor. They both believed they knew what was best for me. But whereas my tutor believed pacifism was the option...Serina Calis believed what was best for me was to change who I was completely. Starting with my biology. I can't look myself in the mirror and say I'm a human anymore. She turned me into an Ersansyr...It's why I take jobs, related to the water."

"I assist in the health and recovery of people every day, even helped cure the population of a planet after Imperials sent out a virus on it. Does that make me a hero?"

She finds the idea amusing, knowing how she is.

"I am not a fully selfless individual, a hero is what others make of you."

Vakhari may be actually considered a hero for her cure, with the people of Brosi seeing her as a saviour. But to others? She could very well be a pharia.

"Perspective. For would it not be heroic to rescue those children? Even if you had to bloody your hands to do it? Would you not feel better knowing you did something right for many people as a whole, even if it came with others demonizing that action?"

Vakhari asks the question, but feels she already knew the answer.

"Nothing is selfless, take a look around."

The girl gestures to the surrounding nature.

"Everything around us takes something, just as it outputs no matter if it knows it or not. Is a tree evil? What about the creatures you caught? Ah but what if we focus on more higher thinking creatures. My time back on Coruscant, am I evil for taking payments? Or am I a hero for giving those without credits a way to get services they otherwise would never receive?"

There was more of course.

"But what if they didn't have anything? I would still work on them anyway, is it selfless? Not at all, I am passionate about my work and not only learn but also receive the payment of respect in such a place where that is useful. I do what I do because while I work with my hands and use my mind it makes me feel good, just as a Jedi knight rescues someone. It is what they were taught to do, the training and conditioning taught them to feel good about their actions. We all receive something, be it material or otherwise."

She fancied herself a scholar, a teacher, a guiding hand. Maybe Vakhari was too stubborn when it came to something or someone who has yet to achieve perfection, or maybe she had a good little dark heart.

"As for your condition. Have you by chance looked into who I am?"

Tag: Vakhari Lutris Vakhari Lutris

Great. More talks about mortality and perspective. Reina just sipped from her coffee once more as Vakhari went on about how it was other people's opinion that made you.

"In that case, I guess I'm a cold-blooded killer. It's what my teacher thought I was at least."

Reina would have agreed with Vakhari, if she had managed to save the children. But she didn't know what had happened to them. Because someone else thought they were the real Hero. Because they thought killing was wrong. In exchange, the last thing she had saw of them had been an explosion going off within the shuttle they had been held captive. In her eyes, she had failed them, like she failed everyone.

For a moment, Reina had to fight the urge to tell Vakhari to just stop. She didn't care about morality. Perspective. It was exactly what she had hated when she was studying as a Padawan. She wanted to learn how to better protect herself and others. Not whether or not what she was doing was the right choice. Instead, the Ersansyr stayed quiet...Though a small frown came over her face when Vakhari brought up Jedi Knights doing a rescue. It was more than likely a coincidence, but it had made her worried if she hadn't kept her story straight.

"...Don't get me started on animals. Please. It's an argument I had with my previous teacher. I tried to rationalise killing as something natural. How a Wampa wouldn't hesitate to kill someone just because it might be "wrong". But to them, that didn't matter. All that mattered to them was why did people have to die? Why wasn't I willing to try and redeem everyone. It was better for them to be able to sleep at night, than to care about potential future victims."

After that, Reina shook her head, turning her gaze down towards her feet as she pondered to herself on how to answer Vakhari's question. Honesty was the best policy.

"No. I didn't. The more I learn about someone, the more likely I am to ask questions. And questions aren't always good...but if it's to do with "curing" my condition...There's no point. I'm just accepting who I am now. Even if it means I'm not human. Nothing wrong with that."

VJqHYP0.png

"In that case, I guess I'm a cold-blooded killer. It's what my teacher thought I was at least."

"Ah, aren't we all?"

She asks in an obviously amused tone.

There was a cosmic level of irony at play here, Reina viewing the conversation as a how she may have been talked to in the past. When in reality it was simply food for thought, a glimpse into perspective and how the view of others ends up being all too black and white- A joke on a whole new level of complexity that we all participate in yet not many understood.

"Oh no no no, not an argument of any kind. Food for thought, a poking at how complex yet ignorant perspectives can be. If I was preaching about morals like a monk I think I would go insane too, could never get any real lab-work done. Besides, not everyone can be redeemed no matter what said redemption looks like to you."
"No. I didn't. The more I learn about someone, the more likely I am to ask questions. And questions aren't always good...but if it's to do with "curing" my condition...There's no point. I'm just accepting who I am now. Even if it means I'm not human. Nothing wrong with that."

This however wasn't something she expected, no help? None at all?

"I am Vakhari Lutris, of house Lutris. Sister to the emperor, and teacher to many. Some call me an architect of flesh, but I specialize in more than just that."

She seemed to show no fear in sharing this information, as to why was left to Reina to think of.

"Anyway, titles aside I can indeed fix that handiwork done to you easily. Hrmm... Even if you wished to still be as you are, I do think-"

The doctor was already seeing it, layers peeled back, functions examined and improved.

"Do you happen to hold a sensitivity to the light side thanks to this change? Sith alchemy changes your biological data, a useful tool yet some Jedi master using the light of the force to attack a Sithspawn or some alchemically charged gear? Serious damage."

The strange petite creature sets her food down, instead gazing into Reina like how you study microbes under a microscope.

"I could easily replicate this body, perhaps even augment the new organs? No weakness to the light, and new boons without the carried scars."

At least one of the duo seemed amused by the conversation, whilst Reina continued to sip away at her coffee, her gaze firmly fixed ahead of herself now. Yet Reina blinked as Vakhari revealed herself as the sister of the Emperor. Huh. That was...interesting to say the least. Reina seemed to have a habit of finding herself stumbling along the higher ups amongst the Sith. Was that a good thing? Or a bad thing? Reina didn't particularly mind, even though she knew more than a few Jedi would probably be disgusted of her.

"Hm?...No. I don't have a weakness to the Light. It was something I was worried about myself."

It had been quite a terrifying moment when Reina was in the class for Force Light. Not truly knowing if it would harm her or help her. Of course, she had done research into what she had became. Learning how there was nothing inherently dark about an Ersansyr. It wasn't in the same avenue as something like other Sithspawn. Reina had not been corrupted by the Darkness...but she had been changed on a core level. It was far more emotional than spiritual at the end of the day.

"I...Thank you for the offer, Miss Lutris. But...I don't want anyone messing about inside of me anymore. I'm not necessarily...happy with who I am, but I'm content. I need to make something out of who I am now. Not to keep trying to change who I am..."

In simpler terms, she had to stop running away from who and what she was now. She wasn't a human. But that wasn't a bad thing. Plenty of people weren't human. The harder part for her was accepting that she was not a Jedi. She was not a Hero, even through Vakhari's logic. It was how other people saw you, and Reina had yet to see anyone who believed her to be a Light in the Darkness.

Their refusal for augmentation was a disappointment, the girl so badly wanted to see what all was inside... It was easy to see on her face, a gleam in her eyes that held a longing to carve.

"Tsk- Very well, I suppose at least you won't be turned to a crisp from a force light."

There was at least some wonder to be had here-

I need to make something out of who I am now. Not to keep trying to change who I am...

Rebirth.

It was looking her right in the face, or well... Something close to it. Time would tell how this creature would change, how this new path shaped them. Vakhari held a grip of pity inside, when will she find it? Her own peace, the truth of the self.

No mater if Reina knew it or not, they were now of interest to the doctor.

"Please, Vakhari works just fine."

She gives Reina a nod while finishing her coffee, seeming to not touch her food anymore.

"Tell you what, if you change your mind I am always around. Chances are if you are still taking jobs I will have plenty more in the future, we learn something new every day after all. Never an end to study- Until my coffee runs out I guess."

Vakhari adds a jest in with her words, picking up over this conversation that this one was not... How to put it? Not a thinker in the same way Vakhari herself is.

"How comfortable are you with dangerous situations? And have you ever encountered something that didn't make much sense?"

The girl fetches her data pad out from her coat, the first question seemed simple enough- Yet the other was one that seemed to answer itself, either way it seemed she was very interested. Her more welcoming self gone in a flash as it was replaced with a lack of expression, a surgical focus in her eyes.

For someone who wasn't overly empathetic nor good at reading people's expressions, the fact that Reina could see clear as day that Vakhari wanted to have the chance to carve Reina up like sashimi...It was unnerving. Yet at the same time, it was at least reassuring. It meant Reina knew what Vakhari wanted. That was better than them having some secret motive. Of course, for all Reina knew, Vakhari still had some kind of motive hidden behind it all.

"No crispy Ersansyr with me. It explains why I've seen more Ersansyr amongst the Jedi than other Sithspawn."

In fact, Reina didn't know if she had seen any other Sithspawn amongst the Jedi. She could at least recall two other Ersansyr before she had become one. Though unfortunately for her, she hadn't been able to meet them since she became one herself. It was a shame really, they would have been able to help her properly understand what she had became. None of that was important for now however as she shook her head, turning her gaze over towards Vakhari.

"It's unlikely I'll change my mind. If you ask anyone who knows me, I can be quite...stubborn. Too stubborn for my own good. But my argument is, I'm only alive because of spite and stubbornness."

The Ersansyr waved her hand somewhat dismissively as she spoke. In the past, she wanted to change her stubbornness but now? It was part of who she was. It was why she was alive. It helped her get through pain, and suffering.

As Vakhari took out her data pad, and seemed far less warm than she used to be, Reina just tilted her head. The questions had caught her by surprise but she gave a shrug of her shoulders.

"Comfortable enough. I've faced plenty of danger in the past. From flora to fauna. Mandalorians to Sith...but for something that didn't quite make sense?"

She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand as Reina seemed to be putting active thought into ther answer.

"A lot. Some of that might be because of my own stupidity. Because of my narrow world view. But I presume that's not what you meant?"
