Feedback Bounty Hunting or Law Enforcement

I'm thinking of making a new character, someone who is starting out as a bounty hunter or a sherif’s deputy. A former rancher's son hailing from Tatooine.
Still trying to decide a bounty hunter or something to do with law enforcement, starting there. The former would probably offer more story opportunities outside Tatooine but still the latter might offer some different possibilities. Advice anyone?

Can possibly write a story that has your character transition from local lawman into a more justice driven bounty hunter, rather than the more mercenary natured bounty hunter. I think you're right in that there will be limitations for a law enforcement character on just Tatooine.

He is going to be justice-driven and Tatooine will be his homeworld but yeah I don’t want to limit him just to one world. In this case I think I’ll start with him on Tatooine and work his way up from there.
