LIANNA ORBIT, EVACUATION OF NON-MILITARY PERSONNEL COMMENCING
Lianna. For over thirty years, the world had been a less than important factory world in the Sith Empire. But times had changed. With the Republic's invasion of Ossus, the Mandalorian invasion of Dromund Kaas, and the attack currently going on at Korriban, times had changed. Greatly.
Currently a force consisting of twenty Ranator-class Star Destroyers, loaded to the brim with the as yet unused TIE Detonators, were in orbit, protecting a horde of refugee ships that were traveling from the planet's surface into orbit. The Empire was not abandoning the world - rather, military men, from both active and reserve duty, were coming to this world and preparing for the worse. Ground fortifications were already in the middle stages of construction as more freighters and transports exited the planet, carrying refugees deeper into Sith space with their belongings and away from the front lines. Bosch paced back and forth at the bridge of the Iceni, pondering as to what to do with the planet's factories, slowly being stripped of all worthwhile manufacturing mechanisms and tooling that would be brought to the factories of Bonadan, as far away from the Fel, Mandalorians, and Republic as could be. In their place, all sorts of sabotage was being installed, primarily in the form of hidden explosives that now filled every nook and cranny of the enormous war factories, now stagnant and lifeless amongst the landscape. Droids with overheating power cores, exploding conveyor belts, and reactors whose computers were corrupted to go into meltdown were all amongst the numerous traps that had been set were the Republic to assault the planet.
Overhead, Bosch and his fleet watched the evacuation continue, sighing as the horde of transports left the system. He had never wanted to see the Empire drop to such a point that it was forced to evacuate civilians from their homes, but apparently, there was no choice. In the event that Bosch received word a Republic fleet was incoming, he had his orders - use the TIE Detonators to inflict as massive of casualties as possible. If retreat was the only option, then the planet would be denied to the Republic, the entire world being scorched by nuclear explosives, proton torpedoes, and mass turbolaser fire.
"Admiral..." A lieutenant on the bridge chose this moment to walk up to the Imperial Navy's commander, someone who had quite visibly aged and worn down since this seemingly fruitless conflict began. "We're moving our teams in to all the factories on the planet. Sabotage of almost every system on the planet is around thirty five percent complete. The world will soon be useless to the Republic."
"Excellent." Bosch turned around, giving a soft sigh. "Have we managed to requisition a Magi-class corvette from the reserve yet?"
"No sir. Most Magis have been called into action as AWACS support for our fleets. We have very few to spare." The lieutenant was equally frustrated - it wasn't like this to fail his commander in this situation.
"I need one soon. If any Republic ships enter the system, I want to attack them as offensively as possible. Electronic warfare does go far with the Magi. Perhaps it's capable enough of forging a virus to infest and shut down the systems of the Republic ships when they enter the system."
"The Magi may have the computing hardware capable to create such a thing, but it will take time."
"Very well. As long as it's in system when the Republic attacks, there should be no issues."
