Description:
As part of Project Bastion, the Borealis Reactor Core is simply designed to be Aurora Industries's next generation reactor core to replace the old anti-matter cores from the company's early days. Once again going with the old standby of anti-matter fueling the reactor, the Borealis is designed to be far more efficient and produce more power than what two of the old reactors can output.
Like any thing involving anti-matter, special steps are needed for protection and thus the Borealis is always in a shielded and fortified section of the ship, in case of a breach or destruction, as anti-matter explosions are not exactly pleasant to normal matter.
