Books and Bordom <OPEN>

What a kind woman! Eights was very pleased to find someone so in tune with droidkind. He would gladly do her the service of stopping at her friend's shop to replace some spare parts. Kaili, was it? He'd store the name in his database. Eights handed over the 22 credits, plus a 5 credit tip.

"Thank you, miss. I very much appreciate your kindness, and you have helped me dearly with this book. I'll be sure to stop by the next time I need something."

He whirred in a tonal approximation of a grin, gave a mock salute, and turned to walk back out into the harsher world.

Lazareth heard that.

How was it that the strange little metal creature had any idea what he was thinking? Was he magic, like some of the folk of the Galaxy? Or was he just prone to breaking the 4th wall with meta? Lars figured that he would never really know the answer to that question. Either way, his fingers slid from the spine of the book, and instead his attention fell upon the stuck-up noble who was prancing around the shop as though he owned the place.

His head tipped slightly to one side, before looking past the man to the ridiculous excuse of a bodyguard.

The ragged man made his way across the room, toward said bodyguard; beneath the hood his eyes narrowed, yet otherwise he kept himself looking as harmless as possible. A stooped old man, for all any of them knew. His face, after all, wasn't visible.

A haggard cough escaped him, rattling his ribcage and aching his lungs. No hand lifted to catch the cough, which was directed toward the aforementioned bodyguard. Then, without a word, Lars tipped his head in the direction of the shop owner and made his way from the establishment.

Naughty droid, lying like that.

Tut tut.

Crix and Toby continued browsing books and as they went along crix piled their basket higher, every book T picked up went into the basket until it was stacked high and much too heavy for crix to hold. He passed the basket over to Toby. Promising Toby a night of pampering for being his knight and planting a kiss onto Toby's shoulder as his hands stroked over Toby's arms. His beautiful strong man what would Crix do without him . Crix would probably have run himself ragged if he didn't have his T.

As crix put a final book into the basket he heard a rustling behind him, cheap fabric and haggered uneven steps ... The peasant. He put a hand onto Toby's back to stop his darling moving "Darlin' this infernal crown is making me sore can you make it better when we get back to the ship and I'll read you one of these books?" As he spoke he listened to the rustling watching from the corner of his eye as the poor person got closer. Why wasn't his bodyguard moving to stop el splutter guts? Crix wondered why he paid these men sometimes.

Then with a cough [member="Lazareth"] left. Damn peasants, damn gaurd. If that gaurd ended up sending the flu round the barracks Crix would not be pleased.

"T my darling Take those books to the lady at the till I just need to ask our gaurd somthing" He smiled stroking down T's back as he withdrew his hand and moved over to the gaurd. Once Toby was at the checkout Crix whacked the gaurd across the back of the head with an atlas "What part of no vagrants near Toby and I was hard ? Imbecile ... You're on unpaid leave until I'm sure you're not diseased now too, when we get back to isis return to your village" He was rather cross damn fool "Now come and carry these books so poor Toby doesn't have to"

Crix took Toby's hand back in his when he got back to him, running his thumb over the mark where the weight of the basket had dug and kissing the skin "I'm sorry My poor baby boy" He cooed ignoring the others in the shop ... he was rich enough not to care if common people thought he was mushy.
