Intent: A personal weapon for Boo Chiyo.

Development Thread: If required.

Manufacturer: Boo Chiyo

Model: N/A

Affiliation: Primeval (Sith)

Modularity: Lightsaber crystal may be replaced to produce different blade color.

Production: Unique

Material: DuraSteel alloy construction, leather grip/accents, 1x synthetic crystal

Classification: Single-bladed (traditional) lightsaber

Size: Hand-and-a-Half (wielded one- and two-handed alternately)

Length: 94cm overall (26cm hilt, 68cm blade)

Weight: 1.5kg

Special Features: The use of a Sith forged synth crystal produced a lightsaber blade that is slightly stronger than that produce by natural crystals (such as those grown on Ilum), but was also more unstable.

Description: Boo Chiyo's lightsaber featured a plain, silvery-metallic hilt that was completely smooth with no discernable switches or dials on the exterior. When activated, the weapon produced a blood red shaft of confined energy that extended 69 centimeters from the emitter matrix. Black heat absorbent material was present at the "tip" of the lightsaber, protecting the wielder from the heat produced by the blade when in use. The hilt was decorated by leather wrapping, which gave the weapon more aesthetics as well as offered better grip. The lightsaber was designed to be activated through the Force, requiring the wielder to know the location of internal switches to switch the device on and off. This meant that the device was not functional when the wielder was unable to use the Force (such as in the sphere of influence of a Ysalamiri). As the crystal was not as stable as a natural crystal, the lightsaber used a single-phase design. The blade produced was thus unsuited to aquatic environments, as immersion in water would short the blade out for a time.
