"It is the surface of the planet, the lowest areas are cast always in shadows since the trees grow so tall they will block out the sun." A smile was on her face where she looked around at some parts of it. Descending down into the shadowlands with the jedi herself leaning against the one railing. Comfortable within her own are aand she just wrapped an arm around her padawan's waist to comfort her. "it is okay though, I'll be there with you. Nothing to fear in the dark when you have me."

"Oh I was just curios don't worry, I'm not scared of anything."
Nova laughed nervously, she thought to herself,
"Damn really? My childish fears getting the best of me? No I'll have to brave up, especially for Serenna."
This would be the toughest test for her really.

Serenna looked at her and blinked a few times. "I don't know... you look kind of cute when you are nervous like. Makes for something more interesting after spending so much time back home. Everyone is so serious." She had a look on her face though watching the trees as they were getting thicker the closer to the roots and there were glowing creatures like spiders or just snakes but they avoided the life when she looked around. It was all shadow and thick darkness but you could see plants and animals that were glowing.. fog rolling around and it cast their light further along it.

Cute? That was an odd choice of words, if there was one thing Nova wasn't, it was cute,
she didn't have time to dwell on this though as almost immediately after these words were said,
it went into a deep layer of darkness, not only that but there was stuff living in the dark.
The glowing eyes of those creatures pierced Nova's mind, it was one short stop from a full breakdown.
Nova tried her best to calm herself, for one she didn't want to put Serenna through one of her crying fits again,
it was only a few minutes ago with her last one, and another point was she didn't want Serenna to know how scared she really was,
"Cute? Well sorry to tell you, I'm not nervous at all, I'm having a great time."
Nova stuttered her speech, it wasn't a major stutter but it was definitely noticeable,
It was just down to how easily Serenna would see through the lie.
And she's proved so far to be very good at that.

SHe looked at her and raised an eyebrow but it looked different in the dark, with the different lights casting solors on her blue skin before she moved around to stand there and could see Nova speaking. The basket touched down onto the ground of the shadowlands and everything around them skittered away. She was moving and went to her hand... holding it and speaking. "It will be okay padawan, just breathed and we'll look around."

"I am breathing, everything is fine, It's all good."
Nova was almost lucid trying to feign calmness, she wasn't sure if it was working,
however they had reached the bottom, and it was just black,
how could such a place exist?

She had a look though just standing there and starting to walk towards the sound of water. They could follow it and find what they were looking for as she could feel Nova and put a hand on her arm. Contact and force energies to work on making her comfortable and calm. "You are doing it, one foot in front of the other." She said it and was walking as the jedi master reached out with her senses offering a small smile. "Just breathe and allow the force to expand your mind... feel it."

"You're acting as if I were a child, I told you I'm fine."
There was a sternness in her voice, this is exactly why she tried to hide her fear,
she didn't want to be treated like a little kid for something as stupid as this.
Damn did she hate herself right now.

"Perhaps... sorry." She said it and looked downcast. "I just... I just don't know what to do mostly. You are my frist padawan and I do care about you. If you are afriad it is my duty as your master, as a jedi to try and quell that fear is it not?" She said it more as a statement and a question.. she was certain about it but at the same time she was uncertain about it. She was looking at Nova and then at the area itself here. THe sounds of water and the gentle parts came to wash over her.

"Don't be sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you like that."
Nova felt bad now, Serenna was completely right about her being afraid, but Nova was too much of a child to admit it,
she shouldn't have reacted like that, hopefully this didn't hurt anything between them.

She gave a her a look as the light was casting colors across their faces. The creatures were all around them but they weren't coming in closer as the jedi master herself was leading the way towards the water and the river. The far off sight of the village came into view and she could see the waters as they moved. Schools of fish within as they seemed to get excited for a moment whens something small fell into the water and then it was them eating it. Serenna watched for a moment but moved aside some branches with a look. "We are here."

"Already? that was fast."
Nova felt like a fool, trying to prevent herself from looking like a child led to her making an even bigger fool of herself.
This was enhanced by the fact they weren't even walking that far, damn this was just too much.

"Well it was only so far from the village above... woudln't want to have to make a massive trek through the shadowlands to find a basket miles away would you?" She said it but walking could see the fish in the water without touching it. The wookiee's who were around had pale fur but also metal greaves and gloves. To grab some fo the small fish out fo the water once they put their hand or leg in and they started to get bitten but pulled it out then had several fish. Serenna was moving around so she could see a couple parts of it. The wookiee village was quite nice.

Nova stayed silent, dwelling on her thoughts, she was lost in them for now,
accidentally ignoring what Serenna said. Maybe it was time to apologise for everything?
She'd already apologised about 3 or 4 times but she couldn't help herself, and she would be calm now.

She had a look but here with the wookiee's as they came closer and embraced the one chiss jedi master... Serenna embraced them back with a liagh. "THank you, when I heard you guys had been setting up this village and helping out I was so excited." THere was a look but she was being led through the area and towards the buildings. The larger sections of the river and the temple could be seen. It was like a small lake/swamp here where buildings and the temple along with a main area floated along the river. Always moving, always difficult to find which would make invading and attacking it much harder.

Nova surveyed her surroundings, it wasn't as impressive as the view before, in her opinion, but it was still special,
there were more Wookies here than Nova had seen in total during her life, and this fact was enhanced by how different they looked to the ones she had seen before, still, Nova followed silently, deep in her thoughts.

Serenna stood there in the one hut that had been carved itno the root of a tree. Until she checked out a few of the other parts. "There we go, we should be able to explore the temple here but first now. I want you to try and find the path to the temple. There are dangerous fish and other creatures here, we'll work to calm them to pass over on the boat."

Nova kept walking a bit forward before realising Serenna had stopped,
she was so lost in thought the sudden change shook her,
"Sorry what did you say?"

Serenna was looking at her while she stopped. "You weren't listening?" She had a frown on her face before nodding her head. "We are headingn to the temple in the middle of the river, the black water here is dangerous though so we are going to practice our force skills and calm the fish and other things. SNakes, crocodiles and other things that might want to eat you."

"I was.... thinking. Sorry."
So, this was where she'd begin to actually use the force,
instead of just seeing if she could tap into it.
"I'm not entirely sure what I should do."
