SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Bogano Jedi Enclave
  • Classification: Temple
  • Location: Bogano
  • Affiliation: New Jedi Order
  • Accessibility: Very few outside of the New Jedi Order have the enclave's exact coordinates; The Jedi on Bogano are keen on preserving the enclave's reclusive nature, in hopes of protecting its more pacifistic students and mentors. Should there ever be unwanted visitors, a small force of Temple Guards remain on duty - though accessing the grounds on foot may prove challenging, considering the sinkholes, pitfalls, and gorges crisscrossing the planet's surface.
  • Description: The Bogano Jedi Enclave is a sprawling settlement built upon and within the cavernous mesas of the Outer Rim planet Bogano. It features both surface and subterranean levels, which respect the natural limestone formations within which they were constructed. The Enclave spans far enough to also include the prominent and mysterious Zeffo Vault, a tower-like structure that serves as the Jedi Temple and archives.

POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Temple Grounds
    • Landing Pad: Situated on a small mesa across from the main temple is a humble landing platform suitable to accommodate several small ships at a time. It is accessible via a small footbridge that can be extended or retracted, should entrance need to be revoked.
    • Training Grounds: Bogano’s training course is unique to the enclave, comprised of flat areas for larger exercises, limestone straits and chasms for free running, and subterranean lakes and caves for exploring.
  • Bogano Temple
    • Council Chambers: A private chamber reserved for Masters of the enclave to meet with the Jedi Council or leaders of other enclaves.
    • Temple Archives: In the heart of the Zeffo Vault, behind karnite walls and a puzzle of reflective glass, is the temple’s Archives. It boasts a small collection of holocrons and other Jedi artifacts, but the true treasure is the enclave’s collection of historical star charts dating back to the era of the Galactic Empire.
    • Halls of Healing: A humble portion of the temple, dedicated to the health and wellness of the enclave's Jedi. The Halls feature standard bacta tanks, as well as a powerful array of powerful natural medicines supplied by the enclave’s herbalists.
  • Jedi Quarters
    • Once the sprawling hermitage of Jedi Master Eno Cordova, this subterranean network of chambers has become the living quarters of Bogano’s Jedi community. Three areas of the hermitage have been properly separated to house Padawans, their Masters, and guests of the enclave respectively, each with privacy.
    • A fourth chamber serves as a common area for cooking, eating, studying, or socializing.
  • Workshop
    • In an underground chamber across from the main complex is the Workshop, where a proud collection of equipment and tools await those who love to tinker. Padawans of the enclave build their first lightsaber here, from the impressive components curated by their Knights and Masters.
    • The enclave’s herbalists use a surface-level greenhouse to cultivate and store native herbs and plants for medicinal use, study, and cataloging. It’s situated above the workshop and storage space, shedding green hues of light down through its translucent glass dome.
  • Submerged Caves
    • Deep below the temple grounds is a network of subterranean lakes and rivers sprawling in all directions beneath the mesas above. Many years have been spent mapping and charting the tunnels, identifying stable caverns for Younglings and Padawans to explore on guided excursions with their mentors.
SECURITY
  • Security Rating: Medium
    • Natural defenses (chasms, sinkholes, cliffs)
    • Seclusion
    • Karnite structure
    • Jedi Temple Guards

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
What began as the hidden respite for Jedi survivors of the Empire has been reborn into a proud place of learning for the New Jedi Order.

Bogano’s ancient Zeffo Vault was rediscovered by Elias Edo Elias Edo and Tarus Undara following the former’s departure from the NJO in pursuit of a more peaceful Jedi lifestyle. Together, the two gave new purpose to the historic site and grew a small community of likeminded Jedi. When Tarus returned to the NJO to face new threats, Elias remained, spending several years overseeing the Bogano enclave and its young learners.

Eventually, he too would return to aid his brethren in the Core, and in doing so offered the Bogano temple as a safe and secluded place to study for those in the NJO who were cut from the same cloth.
