STRENGTHS

Knife Nut: These knives have been carefully balanced and weighted so as to be accurately thrown in the hands of an experienced user.

Contagious Superpowers: Continuous and long term exposure to these knives may result in a person developing ‘Stonepower’.
Knife-Throwing Act: Due to their imbuement, these knives cannot be manipulated via conventional applications of the force and instead require the user to be proficient in Stonepower. A user who is proficient in Stonepower can control these knives with a form of telekinesis.

WEAKNESSES

Weak Arm Noodles: Range is highly dependent on the thrower's physical strength.
Stonewalled: Due to their surprising lightness, these daggers are slightly less stable in flight than more heavier alternatives. Care needs to be taken to avoid them failing to penetrate a target which may result in an embarrassing bounce back.
Conditional Greatness: Any Stonepower granted gradually fades if a user is removed from sources of blue stone for an extended period.

DESCRIPTION

As the name suggests, these knives have been fashioned from an incredibly hardy and distinctively luminous blue stone of an unknown origin. While some examples have appeared purely comprised of this stone, most common examples in the galaxy have been set and secured with a hardy wooden hilt for a more comfortable grip. They are almost always universally honed with clear care and purpose, so much so that even a novice hand will be quick to recognize they have been balanced so that the center of gravity lies in the center of the knife, granting them a near perfect circular trajectory when thrown.
Unbeknownst to many these are relics from an almost forgotten war, speaking of a much darker and bloody chapter in the Skyscreamer’s verbal history. Harkening back to a time when conflict between the Mud Dwellers, Rockhawkers and Old Ones threatened to stain the very blue mountains themselves with a visceral red. Since then they have been passed down through the successive generations of Skyscreamers as more of a grim reminder than as the weapon they originally conceived as, serving as a tangible lesson of a time when they allowed themselves to grow too involved in the conflicts that so often break out on the surface of their world, creating weapons of death rather than meditating on the power of the stones themselves.
At some point these daggers have made it off world, becoming scattered amongst the denizens of the galaxy. While most are quick to pass them off as simply quirky backwater weapons from a clearly pre-industrial society, those that have spent a sizable amount of time with these knives have found themselves awakening a strange and unexplainable power.
