Blue Milkshake

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
Skor II. At the invitation of the Squibs (probably some Salvagestuff Platform worker), written in some somewhat scribbled Basic, Janick was invited to the grand re-opening of the Metrobig Salvagestuff Platform, with the workers and their families, alongside, inexplicably, one [member="Lilith Sedarri"]. Understandably, the organizer of the grand re-opening desires exotism and even requested Janick to come with the equipment she typically uses for alchemizing beer. However, just alchemizing lum the same way she usually does is a big no-no for her in that occasion. I'm not here for making people get help about alcoholism, she thought, while unloading the weighty size 10 cauldron, made of black quadranium, with the long quadranium ladle inside it, and also wearing a black pointy hat. Also, because she expects the Squibs to find long, strapless dresses exotic, much in the way Pau'ans would, she decided to go tell the organizers about the requirements to prepare blue milkshake for them:

"What you need?" the Squib quartermaster asked Janick.

"This is what I need to make blue milkshake for everybody: five liters of partly skimmed blue milk, 12 liters of blueberry ice cream and 3 kg of malted milk powder" she told the Squib quartermaster.

"Me give you these ingredients: however you must prepare milkshake in front of everybody"

"All right... sold!"

It had been weeks, months even since Lilith had managed to get off world - life had been busy. Between her new home on Dosuun and her unofficial social attachment, she'd been mostly unable to travel, and as much as she hated to admit it, it was killing her. To sate her appetite for travel, she'd managed to secure passage to Skor II - the recent site of a failed First Order offensive. As the shuttle had made its way across First Order space, she'd had time to finally decompress, unwind from the daily musings of her new home. Avalonia was beautiful, there was no denying it. Lush gardens, ornate archways and architecture throughout, it was a safe place to live, or at least it was now that the Ssi-Ruuvi had been pushed back. Lilith had escaped the worst of it, a guest of Natasi and Pierce Fortan at their cabin when the invasion had begun - now she'd returned to her small flat near the Garden District.

Now, she stood aboard the platform above Skor II, according to the small pamphlet in her hands it was called the Metrobig Salvagestuff Platform. *Intriguing.* Thought the woman to herself. Much of the platform had been re-opened, an open house of sorts but as she began to wander, her eyes caught sight of something peculiar - a giant cauldron being unloaded from a small hover-jack. This might prove to be interesting. Biting her lip gently as she approached, she gave the woman a raised eye. Turning to the squib, she smiled.

"What's all this?"

"I'm Janick. It was a Squib special request: they imagined alchemy as being an exotic activity" she told [member="Lilith Sedarri"] while she was pouring the ingredients into the cauldron, starting with the malted milk powder. "These Squibs shall be surprised by what I alchemize the contents of the cauldron for"

Said cauldron was big enough to prepare sixty servings of alchemized milkshake. But perhaps they wanted to celebrate that ceasefire between the First Order and the Galactic Alliance that way. The Squibs paid a handsome sum for Janick to appear here, and any supplies would be borne out of the appearance money. Maybe the other non-Squib lady was here for another reason, she thought, while she didn't know a thing about Lilith. Perhaps the Squib traders that commonly make runs from and to the Salvagestuff Platform actually caught wind of either person, and maybe even the same trader: often people who went to the Salvagestuff Platform made runs as far as Dosuun to the west and Aing-Tii to the east, and sometimes they make stops by Utapau. They did realize that there were intense rivalries between Skor II and Sump in the salvage industry, so they took care not to invite any Nuknogs. And yet the guests were starting to eat the appetizers while Janick was about to start shaking the contents of the cauldron in front of the assembled Squibs in attendance:

"Maybe the Squibs thought that you were some rising talent in something, including but not limited to, dancing"

A subtle frown and a raised eyebrow greeted the woman as she spoke. *Alchemy huh?* Interesting. She'd often read references to alchemy throughout her travels and her visits to the various education centers throughout the galaxy, the Jedi Academy on Sullust being one of them. Here however, she'd had no idea something so archaic in nature would be put into play, much less on a salvage station but it was a celebration of sorts. As Lilith watched the contents of the cauldron swirl, she humorously was reminded of a strange holo-film she'd watched only just last week, the premise being a young girl, whisked away into a vortex to an alternate world, one that seemed quite strange and foreign and yet in some ways familiar. What she assumed was a representation of a witch was the main protagonist, the cauldron a key feature of the film. Her thoughts were interrupted as the woman who'd identified herself as Janick spoke up again. A smile began to spread across Lilith's features, an amused smirk holding true as she replied.

"Oh this?" She pointed towards the ground, indicating her being there. "This is actually a vacation for me. I'd consider myself a humanitarian, or in this case an empathetic soul to the plight of the Squib. They've had a rough run of it, no?"
Though residing in Avalonia, Lilith was very much a neutral entity when it came to the political game, it's what allowed her to travel freely through most controlled space without popping up red flags. Though this was to be a vacation for her, she also was genuinely curious about the Squib - and who could deny the allure? They were just so darn cute! Her eyes rose to meet Janick's as she inquired as to her talent, a veiled smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.

"An astute observation." She nodded, head tilted. "I do a fair bit of dancing, though I mostly teach now - children that is."

"A rough run of it? You bet: first the Graug and Vong, and then the First Order. Some morale-booster was due, I suppose"

While, of course, today's Janick was associated first and foremost with the Outer Rim Coalition, and even flying starfighter missions under the ORC's standard, she still had to be open to even flying in First Order-land. Thus far her only encounters in FO-land were to escort salvagers from Utapau to Sump, and back. And now the favorite part of the alchemical process begins: actually putting in the dark side of the Force inside the cauldron so that the blueberry milkshake could actually have anything remotely resembling magical properties. Now, it would allow those who drink it to levitate for a short time, at the cost of brittle bones and sweaty palms while the effects of the drink last. The Squib crowd was gasping in mid-air when they saw tendrils of dark-sided energy entering the cauldron, as the preparation of the blueberry milkshake is nearing completion... they finally had the chance to see what alchemy was like, and [member="Lilith Sedarri"] does not suspect that some ingredient was placed in the cauldron before it all began, without which there would be no tendrils of dark-sided energy in the first place.

"It's almost ready, now... soon you may levitate a short height off the ground, but be wary of the side effects"

"Intriguing."
Already the smell of the concoction had begun escaping the cauldron's edges, Lilith's lips widening into a smile. As the formula bubbled and the Force made itself known. It was familiar to her, almost as if she was in the presence of an old friend, but this was different. *Alchemy.* She could sense the very contents of the cauldron changing, shifting, forming something new - and as she began to realize just what was happening a curious expression gripped her. The purpose must have obviously been entertainment, or perhaps celebration, but even so - what was the purpose behind the creation of such a drink? She didn't have long to wait. Already, Squib were crowding around the cauldron, eager to taste its contents - Lilith however was somewhat skeptical.
She would wait for a moment, and at the woman's words she raised an eyebrow. *Levitate huh - now that's definitely interesting.* Holding her breath, she watched as some of the squib began jumping up and down with excitement. No doubt the concoction would be ready to drink soon.

With Squibs tasting the contents of the cauldron, they will realize that the Squibby Lifting Drink is going to taste like a blueberry frappé. Also, because the Squibby Lifting Drink is a cold drink, what bubbling there was in the cauldron, was mostly due to the foam forming due to the stirring that made the milkshake, well, a milkshake. [member="Lilith Sedarri"] should see a few Squibs levitating for short periods of time each, none of those levitating for more than ten seconds at a time, with the side effect that their own hands become that much more sweaty. And yet, those Squibs that did levitate, did so only after making a jump beforehand. Even those who did not, would realize that they have to be careful not to break their bones. But she knew that what was effective on one species may not be on another. Of course she would not need to know a whole lot about pharmacology or xenobiology to understand as much: either Lilith was to be the first human or Near-Human to drink it, or Janick would. She took a serving of the SLD into her conical glass, as classical of Squib glasswork for ice cream-based stuff.

"Now that you have seen the Squibby Lifting Drink as used on the Squibs, perhaps you should drink it, too: that way we'll know whether it will work on other species than Squibs. Or perhaps I'll drink it if you don't wish to"

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained right?"
With that minimal statement Lilith reached for a glass, the contents within nearly frothing over. Upending the glass, perhaps somewhat unladylike she imagined, the woman drained the contents. What happened was most peculiar indeed. At first the flavor of blueberry, or something similar was overpowering, but as the liquid made its way towards her stomach she began to feel its effects. A slight bubble in the pit of her stomach, a tingling sensation within her extremities, and then as she took a deep intake of breath - an almost weightless feeling.

Carefully she crouched, then stood quickly, the movement causing her to surprisingly lift off the ground completely! It was almost a shock, though she'd seen the Squibs do the same. The feeling however she wasn't prepared for. Rather than coming back to ground immediately, she hovered there for a moment, weightless despite the artificial gravity of the station.

Janick's happiness just couldn't be hid anywhere: she was all too happy that [member="Lilith Sedarri"] could actually levitate like the Squibs and she now had the assurance that the Squibby Lifting Drink worked on a variety of species. But she couldn't help but notice that the Squibs' hands became much more sweaty. It was turn for Janick to drink the stuff and replicate the effects; she expected to levitate for a shorter amount of time than Lilith did, but she, too, feels a few bubbles in her stomach, and then because of her being much more massive than the Squibs, she couldn't hover as high nor could she hover for as long as they did. If a Squib could hover for up to 30 seconds and that Lilith could hover for about half as long, she knew she couldn't hover for more than ten. So, for the next ten seconds, she hovered to the same height as the First Order guest, while being mindful of her bones' brittleness. Meanwhile the Squibs that returned back to the floor were amazed that something so heavy could still hover above the ground.

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
Now that everyone drank their servings of Squibby Lifting Drink, Janick could continue to have her dose of fun without having to wait on Lilith, who kind of went her own way by now. Squibs were going to levitate all over the place for a short while, but the energy required to do so made them much more tired once their drink-induced ability to levitate was cooling down. And the Squib DJ began playing the music only after he levitated; he thought the party would get lively without the need for his music thanks to the blueberry-tasting magic potion Janick made using milkshakes. And Squib music was quite different from the music she listened to while on Utapau: it appears that species have pretty disparate musical tastes depending on what their physiologies would allow them to listen to, but that was far from the only factor. She was happy to realize that the drink was a success and that she decided to go earmark some blood space to make some Squibby Lifting Drink on a regular basis, thinking that it will sell in the same limited quantities as the alchemized booze had.
