Blue Lotus is a fashion house, trading in high-end clothing, jewelry, and accessories, taking influences from Atrisia and the First Order's Imperial heritage. The designs are marketed towards the wealthy and well-to-do across the galaxy, and found most of its financial success in marketing to grandees of the First Order and the Atrisian Commonwealth. Blue Lotus also accepts private contracts and commissions. During and after the First Order/Galactic Alliance war, the company was used as a cover operation for the First Order Security Bureau. In that sense, it was loyal to the First Order, but it would sell to anyone. Aside from this bias, Blue Lotus is a standard, profits-focused corporation with an Atrisian bent towards corporate social responsibility. Blue Lotus tries to operate responsibly and sustainably.
Following the First Order's collapse, Blue Lotus suffered a severe setback as a significant portion of its clientele was disrupted. Its boutique shop on Dosuun was destroyed during the Ssi-Ruuk attack, and supply chains across the western reaches of the galaxy were severely impacted. As the First Order recovered, so did Blue Lotus, opening new shops and expanding its reach into other areas of the galaxy. The establishment of a sister entity, Black Lotus, for the development and manufacture of spy gadgets, allowed Blue Lotus to assume a primary business role once more, although Blue Lotus was still occasionally of assistance to the First Order intelligence apparatus.
RATIONALE
Born of her passion for clothing design and an abundance of capital from her parents, Isobel Nakano founded Blue Lotus while still at university. A talented fashion designer, she married the skill with joint degrees in fashion design and business management and capitalized upon her status as a socialite in the First Order and the Atrisian Commonwealth to promote brand recognition. During the war, when she was recruited into the First Order Security Bureau, Blue Lotus took on another role, that as a cover for movement of materials and intelligence. Blue Lotus recently celebrated the re-opening of new luxury boutiques on Dosuun, Atrisia, Coruscant, and Seoul. The company operates under the leadership of its Chief Executive, Isobel Nakano, though as her work takes her elsewhere, a caretaker Chief of Operations has been appointed in the form of her sister Juliet.
