- Production: Limited
- Material:
- Lignan-Doped Aerosol Reservoir
- Bloodsteel Dispersal Manifold
- Crucivane Sigil Chamber

- Umbricore Particle Refractors
- Sith Enzyme Catalytic Mesh
- Dark-Particulate Vapor Media
- Crimson Fog Refractive Compound
- Crimson-Black Obscuration Veil: Deploys a dense, swirling fog around the landing zone, obscuring those within.
- Anti-Laser Diffusion Cloud: Based on anti-laser aerosol; breaks beam cohesion, scattering blaster and laser shots.
- Sensor Corruption Field: Disrupts thermal, EM, lidar, motion, and short-range sensor systems within veil radius.
- Panic-Null Induction Pulse: Low-grade Sith resonance woven into the fog, fraying enemy composure and disrupting firing discipline.
- Friend-Safe Respiratory Profile: Kainate respirators, helms, and Sith biochem filters negate irritants entirely.
- HUD Counter-Veil Optics: Kainate troops view clear overlays through helmets or implants; allies see fine, enemies see nothing.
- Programmable Radius (05–30m): Adapts to vessel size and mission profile.
- Rapid Deploy Integration: Syncs to landing gear and ramp controls for instant veil deployment at pilot discretion during hot insertions.
- Outstanding Disembarkation Protection: Creates a temporary battlefield "blind zone" that protects troops as they deploy.
- Laser & Blaster Disruption: Diffuses incoming beam fire, drastically reducing precision and lethality.
- Sensor Obscuration: Shuts down short-range targeting systems, forcing enemies to shoot blind.
- Psychological Impact: The crimson-black veil unnerves defenders, reducing coordination and reaction time.
- Kainate Signature Advantage: Standard Kainate troops see clearly through it; only enemies are blinded and panicked.
- Short Duration: The veil persists only 20–40 seconds before dispersing.
- Weather Vulnerability: High winds, storms, and other weather phenomena can distort or thin the veil.
- Kinetic Ineffective: Does not stop physical projectiles, only reduces accuracy by limiting visibility.
- Force Nullification: Panic induction effects weaken while under Force Nullification.
- Limited Refresh: Reservoir capacity allows only one or two redeployments per landing sequence.
The Bloodshroud Veil Projector Mk. I was developed after repeated Kainate planetary assaults revealed the same universal weakness in conventional landing craft: The exposed ramp. Even elite Sith troopers were vulnerable to entrenched defenders targeting the open maw of a landing vessel before troops could fully deploy. Recognizing this flaw, the Shadow Mind created a battlefield obscuration system that offered more than simple "smoke", something unmistakably Sith in design, fearsome in appearance, and tactically superior to anything fielded by any before.
Drawing inspiration from the ancient anti-laser aerosol used sparingly in times past, Kainate researchers rebuilt the concept from the ground up, infusing aerosol particulates with alchemical binders, crimson refractive fog compounds, and Sith resonance channels. The result is a crimson-black storm cloud that erupts around the landing zone with a single activation. It swallows the disembarkation ramp and surrounding terrain in a shifting, roiling veil that eats targeting lasers, bends optics, and blinds enemy shooters. Blaster bolts scatter and diffuse inside the cloud, sensors misread heat and motion, and those caught within its perimeter feel a rising, instinctive dread, an engineered emotional destabilization woven into the fog by Dark side resonance.
To Kainate troops, however, the veil is crystal-clear. Through helm overlays and spectral HUD feeds, allies see perfectly, able to rush from the ramp with total situational awareness while their enemies stare into a wall of living shadow. The system's real value is not only concealment, but initiative dominance, Kainate forces hit the ground already positioned to strike first, move first, and kill first.
Short-lived but devastatingly effective, the Bloodshroud Veil Projector Mk. I have become a signature technology of Kainate boarding barges, shuttles, landers, and the newly developed Kharvoss-class Sith Shuttle Mk. I, elevating troop insertions to dark rituals of precision and terror. Where the crimson fog rolls, the enemy sees nothing, until it is far too late.
