  • Automatic Activation: Triggers upon confirmed pilot death, incapacitation, or capture detection.
  • Corrosive Burst: Releases a potent dark side energy explosion that violently disintegrates critical systems.
  • Data Core Erasure: Obliterates all sensitive data, navigation records, technological schematics, and biological remnants.
  • Lingering Dark Corrosion: Infuses the blast zone with residual Sith energy that continues to damage salvage efforts and repel non-Sith presence.
  • Sith Rune Encryption: Activation is locked to Kainate blood signatures and Force auras; unauthorized tampering or removal triggers immediate detonation.
  • Command Node Redundancy: On larger vessels, activation is linked to multiple personnel nodes (e.g., captain, bridge crew, Sith overseer) and requires all to be incapacitated or compromised.
  • Ritual Countdown Delay: Upon triggering, the device initiates a variable delay marked by glowing Sith glyphs, allowing a narrow escape window or retaliation for allied forces. This is set by the vessels captain or pilot.
  • Tethered Core Detonation: On capital ships, the transponder is directly tied to the ship's reactor core, ensuring a full-scale detonation alongside the metaphysical purge for maximum destruction.

  • Prevents Enemy Capture: Immediately destroys vessel and sensitive technology, denying adversaries any intelligence or salvage.
  • Corrosive Dark Burst: The explosive effect has secondary damaging properties, inflicting corrosive metaphysical harm on organic and inorganic materials within a limited radius around the craft.
  • Tamper-Proof: Advanced Sith rune-lock prevents sabotage, slicing, or premature activation, responding only to the authentic signature or confirmed death of the pilot.

  • Irreversible: Once activated, the transponder cannot be stopped, reversed, or overridden even by Kainate command.
  • Force Nullification Susceptibility: Effectiveness significantly reduced in Force-nullifying fields (Ysalamiri, Voidstone). May be substantially weakened.
  • Collateral Damage Risk: Nearby friendly assets or personnel risk damage or harm if within proximity of activation.

In the Kainate Shadow Armada's relentless quest for supremacy, ensuring technological secrecy and operational security is paramount. To prevent their advanced technology from being captured or studied, Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing developed the Bloodlock Transponder Mk. I. This sinister failsafe mechanism epitomizes Sith ruthlessness and dedication to victory at any cost.

The Bloodlock Transponder is not merely an explosive self-destruct; it is a vile scourge. It is directly interfaced with the pilot's vital signs, making the transponder responsive exclusively to confirmed death or impending capture scenarios. In the event that the pilot is killed, incapacitated, or captured, the transponder triggers automatically, detonating a corrupted kyber shard at the vessel's core. This blast emanates corrosive dark energy, swiftly dissolving critical components, obliterating data, and rendering the wreckage irretrievable. In larger starships, this transponder is connected to multiple command personnel—typically the acting captain, bridge crew, and a Sith overseer, using a command node redundancy system to prevent accidental activation through isolated loss. Only when all linked nodes are compromised does the transponder engage.

To ensure that friendly assets can retreat before destruction, the transponder initiates a ritual countdown delay, typically lasting a variable amount of time determined by the ships captain or pilot, upon activation. During this time, Sith glyphs ignite in a growing corona of energy as dark ignition builds, offering a narrow window for escape or final retaliation before annihilation. When installed in capital ships, the Bloodlock is tied to the vessel's core systems in what is known as a tethered core detonation configuration. In such cases, the corrupted kyber shard shatters the containment field of the ship's primary reactor, triggering a full-scale explosion that consumes the entire vessel in dark fire, ensuring no remnant of the Kainate's secrets survives.

The blast further corrupts organic and inorganic matter nearby, leaving residual, corrosive energy lingering in the aftermath, punishing those who dared approach or attempt salvage. The rune-locked nature of the device prevents tampering or sabotage, even by skilled slicers or rival Sith. Only authorized Kainate personnel can handle, install, or deactivate the device safely before its installation. Yet, this system is not without risk. Activation can only be reversed by the pilot or the ships captain, leaving little room for error or rescue if mistakenly triggered. Additionally, the device's reliance on Sith technology renders it vulnerable in Force Null fields, potentially weakening its effectiveness or delaying its detonation. The Bloodlock Transponder Mk. I reflects the Kainate's uncompromising stance toward defeat, ensuring that if victory is impossible, enemies gain nothing from their remains but ruin and despair.
