Valaine huffed with amusement at Vakhari's words, glancing aside with a smirk. "I don't know that I'd be able to have a child with you Vakhari, you don't have to worry about that with me at least. There's attraction beyond reproduction, though you probably think that kind of attraction is pointless, and maybe it is, but you can like things without much of a reason."

Though that smirk of hers quickly faded with surprise at the words that followed. Ironic that she was capable of giving such compliments, but not so good at receiving them as her cheeks reddened slightly, "Uhm-... I am...?" she asked as she looked at Vakhari with a puzzled expression, "... I- I'm surprised. I didn't think you'd really look at people like that..." she stammered as a smile couldn't help but appear upon her lips once again as she glanced away in a flustered manner.

"B- Biology, yes." she continued, rather swiftly trying to alter the subject. The mention of arteries got a response out of the young Sangnir as she turned back to Vakhari, "Oh, I actually know where some of those are! I kind of have to, you know." she gestured loosely to her mouth. "They were uhh... The neck, the clavicle, under the arm, the wrist, the inner thigh-" she paused. "Don't... Ask me how I know about the last one..." she muttered.

Her eyes shifted towards the book that was pulled back to Vakhari. She hummed softly at the question as she tilted her head to the side, brushing some of her dark hair behind her pointed ear once more. "I... I think I was starting to figure it out. But I can't be sure. It's not like anything I've come across before. I'd like to try again, at some point." she nodded gently. "I'm kind of eager to know what it's about, it seems important to you."

Oh perfect, a squirming rose tinted mess like the last one. All she had said is that Valaine wasn't a burden to look at like many others were, truth be told she found it kinda amusing.

"It is important to me yes, a knowledge I had learned in death. Not many can properly read it, much less truly understand how to use it."

She takes a stand, stretching her arms and legs while letting out a squeak of a yawn.

"Surprised? Surely I can look at someone and not think of them as biowaste, shocking just how many 'people' look disgusting to me."

Vakhari attaches the book onto her belt, walking over to Valaine, giving the blushing Sangnir a simple pat on the head.

"Biology it is then, maybe we start with mapping a body? Hrmm..."

The girl rubs at her eyes, almost forgetting her gloves.

"Ah."

With the force she grabs them too, though they went into a seperate pocket.

"Just contact my office when you feel like visiting, then we can start to learn."

Valaine watched as Vakhari approached her, tired eyes glancing up at her before a pat was delivered onto her head. She was certain that to Vakhari it was nothing but a gesture, but to Valaine it felt like affection, and being as starved as she was for such attention it filled her with warmth. She couldn't help but smile softly in response to the touch as she nodded up at the other woman.

"Mapping a body...? Yeah, that sounds fine." she answered as finally she moved to stand up, tucking her hands into the folds of her robes. "I'll bring some coffee when I come to see you." she offered as she let her grey eyes settle upon Vakhari for just a moment longer. How odd it seemed to her that she could have found a potential friend amidst the hell that had been her life, that was still her life. She wasn't sure what to do with it, the concept alone was rather alien. But Vakhari made her smile, and by doing almost nothing but simply exist. It told her that this had to be a connection she maintained, and she would try her best to.

She turned and started making her way to the exit of the lab as hair and robes flowed behind her, glancing over her shoulder as she paused in the door. She lifted a pale hand and waved lightly, "I'll catch you later, Vakhari." she smirked before departing the lab.

A sense of purpose potentially restored, a connection made.
