"Awaken..."

Her eyes shot open as her body jerked up from where she lay in bed. Sweat covered her body as her hand came up to rest against her forehead. Blinking for a few moments she looked forward before closing her eyes. Breathing heavily, she pulled her legs up, knees to her chest as she wrapped her arms around herself. It was another rough night, this time the dream came once more as it had the many nights before. Her dreams had become plagued by the images; that of an individual swathed in golden flames beckoning her to follow.

Another shaking breath escaped her lips as she shuddered for a moment. What were these dreams? The question had arisen and as each night passed, she felt a driving need to follow them down the rabbit hole. Shaking her head, she slipped from the bed, the sheets wrapped around her figure, sticking to her nude form. One hand held the sheet against her breast, the other holding the side to keep it wrapped around her figure.

Golden hues peered out the view screen into the black void of space, watching the far off stars twinkling and shimmering against the darkness. Closing her eyes again, she took a deep breath, her hand shaking slightly as she sat upon the edge of the bed. Leaning forward, she once more rubbed her forehead, attempting to push the thoughts from her mind. It wouldn't work, even she knew that.

"Karking dreams."

The huffing hiss of the words escaped from her lips as she took another deep breath. Each night the dream was the same, the figure in golden flames reached out to her. A voice called out to her, beckoning her to come to the individual; then a planet would appear before those words were spoke.

"Awaken..."

She mouthed the words, a soft whisper carrying the single phrase upon the dull, cold air of the room. Sitting up once more, she steadied herself before moving to the refresher in the room. Now permitting the sheet to slip from her figure completely, she stepped into the shower. The warm water cascaded down upon her, sending a chill down her spine for a moment. Closing her eyes and leaning her head back, she took a moment to enjoy the warmth. A soft smile slipping across her lips as she ran her hands over her figure.

A contented sigh escaped from her lips as she stood there beneath the warm waters. The steam slowly filling the small room as she leaned against the wall before sliding down it and sitting on the floor. She brought her legs up again, wrapping her arms around them. Something was calling to her, something was out there and it both excited and frightened her as to the possibility of what it could be. Closing her eyes once more, the image of the figure was burned into her mind as a shaking hand came up slowly.

Then her eyes shot open as she looked up, her hand held up before she balled it into a fist. No, this was no longer acceptable. She had to find out what was happening. She needed to know just what the kark was going on. Closing her eyes, she nodded her head, resolving herself to the task that was now lain out before her. Each time the words echoed in her mind, each dream brought a single direction.

Wild Space.

While the area had plenty of hyperspace routes, it was still rather unexplored. Large swathes held worlds unseen or otherwise no first contact had been made with those denizens that called it home. Slowly pulling herself up, she shut the water off before wrapping herself in a towel. Stepping into her room, she pressed a single finger against the com on the door.

"Yes Ma'am."

"Plot a course Knight-Lieutenant."

"Ma'am?"

"The Excarga System."

"Yes Ma'am."

Slowly her finger slipped away from com, and she was half way turned towards the room before she stopped. Taking a moment to think, she nodded before taking a soft breath. Her finger pressing against the button once more.

"Ma'am?"

It took her a moment, for she wanted to be sure that she was prepared to push further on.

"Ma'am, is something wrong?"

"No..."

She barely managed to scrap out before she permitted a soft sigh to escape her lips. It was low enough that it was unlikely the individual at the end of the line heard before she managed to steel herself once more.

"Send for additional vessels. Four Cardinal class Corvettes to muster in the Excarga System."

"Yes Ma'am."

Releasing the coms, she stepped away, slowly moving the towel over her figure. Looking towards the view screen, a soft smirk crossed her lips as the stars that once shimmered against the darkness of space quickly elongated into white streaks against a shimmering blue backdrop. The vessel now tunneled through hyperspace, barreling towards their destination and to the first step upon a new journey.

Standing quietly, she took the time to watch the stars slip by as the vessel traveled, moving through hyperspace without a problem as she took a deep breath. Slowly releasing it, her breast rose and fell as she leaned forward. Both of her hands pressing against the sill of the large view port, her eyes closed for a moment before she looked up. The towel slowly slipped from her figure, no longer held to her bosom without the help her hand, leaving her to stand nude in the darkness of her room. Slowly she rolled her head, stretching herself out before standing up straight.

Moving to the large closet, she pushed the door to the side and reached forward. Her fingers grasped at the bodysuit, pulling it from where it hung as her other hand smoothed over the article. Carefully she maneuvered the item, slipping her figure into its confines and feeling as it hugged her form. Slowly her hands moved down over her bust and along her stomach to smooth out the fabric, and in a show of vanity, she performed the small action in front of the large mirror in the corner.

Nodding to herself, she turned back to the closet, this time though her eyes fell upon the armor that rest on its stand. Stepping forward, her hand reached out and for a moment she pulled her fingers back.

"Is this the right course of action? Would my sister have wanted this?"

The question floated into her mind, planting a small seed of doubt as she looked at the armor. Then to the two lightsabers that rest upon their own rack in the closet. The one that had given them to her, she had not seen in what felt like ages. Was this the life she wanted? She wondered as she looked at the items before her. Then in a moment of resolve, she shook her head and spoke aloud.

"No. This is the right course. It was one chosen for me ages ago."

Her hand reached out as she grabbed at the armor plates and pulled them from where they sat quietly. Slowly she pulled them over her figure, locking them into place and adjusting them as needed. Pulling on her boots, she took a few steps to ensure they were still comfortable to wear before she turned back to the closet. Her eyes falling upon the helm that rest quietly, almost as if it were staring back at her.

Gently slipping her hands around the sides, she slowly pulled it from its stand. Looking over it for a moment before turning it around and lifting it up. She looked to the mirror and watched as she carefully slid the helm down upon her brow. Closing her eyes for a moment and letting out a soft sigh as her hands slipped from the sides of the helm. She smirked slightly before her hues opened to the sight of the armor clad woman.

Gazing over her shoulder, she looked at the two lightsabers before reaching out for them. She admired their craftsmanship before attaching them to her belt along with the longsword she still wore. Pulling at a few of the plates to double check their fit, she closed the closet, her hand resting upon the door for a moment before the movement caught her eye. Looking towards the view screen, she saw as the stars began to slowly shudder back to their positions, then the com beeped.

"Yes."

"Ma'am, we've just dropped out of hyperspace on the edge of the Excarga system."

"Good. I'll be along shortly."

"Very well Ma'am."

She took another look out the window before turning to the door. Stepping forward, she waited, though she knew not what for. Pressing the button to her side, the door hissed open before she stepped forward and out into the busy corridor.

The door hissed as it slipped open, the armor clad female standing quietly as the bridge crew paused for a moment. All eyes falling upon her as she stepped forward, the long cloak trailing behind her as her arms remained clasped behind her back. Stepping towards the large windows before her; her own hues fell upon the glint in the far distance. The world of Excarga, and while it would have been a suitable place, for the moment she only needed it to muster a small force.

"Ma'am, additional vessels dropping from hyperspace."

"Understood."

Looking back towards the large windows, her eyes fell upon the burst of light that signaled the arrival of additional vessels. The corvettes themselves dropping from hyperspace and pulling into a formation as they moved towards her own vessel. A soft smirk crossing her lips as brought her hands forward, holding them together before her as she lowered her head. Closing her eyes she seemed to whisper something to herself, those few that could hear offered their own attention. A few even bowing their heads themselves.

"Blessed are the Righteous, the lights in the shadow..."

She never took herself to be one for Religions, though if a bunch of space wizards could have their own, why couldn't she be afforded such a liberty? Slowly bringing her head up, her eyes shot open as they fell upon the vessels that had pulled up into formation.

"Ma'am, all vessels reporting in. The captains are wondering what they're doing this far out."

"Open a channel to all vessels. Open all internal channels, I'll address the crew as well."

"Yes Ma'am."

Closing her eyes once more for a moment she bowed her head again. Waiting in silence as the channels were open, a soft smirk crossing her lips as she prepared her words. What she was to say next would shock all but the most devout, though she trusted many that were aboard these vessels. Bringing her head up once more, she kept her eyes closed as she drew in a deep breath.

"We are the vanguard, the first push of those that shall follow. I have had a vision, a world in Wild Space created by the Maker for the Order. All we need is the courage to take this world as ours. From there we shall spread our Righteous Flame across the galaxy."

Another deep breath was followed by a heavy sigh as she waited for the calls of her being a madwoman. A soft smirk crossed her lips at that thought; perhaps she truly was mad, though in a galaxy such as this, was that really a bad thing? She wondered to herself as she waited. The channels remained quiet, and even if she couldn't hear them, she could feel those aboard and on those vessels before her thinking and talking in hushed whispers.

Then the channel crackled to life, as the first vessel called in. She waited for the insult to fly, though what rang out in her ears was something else completely. It was enough to bring a smile to her lips as her eyes fluttered open.

"We're with you Knight-Commander."

"Take us to this promised world."

The cheering and crying out began to fill the channels as she slowly turned to face her bridge crew. Many of them kept their eyes upon the woman, her own hues falling upon each and every one of them as they waited. A quiet nod to them followed before she bowed before them.

"I ask much of this crew, though I ask once more that you follow in my madness. Follow in the wake as our ember burns into a conflagration."

"We're with you Ma'am."

That was all she needed as she nodded and rose once more. Her eyes falling upon her crew before she slowly turned back towards the large view screens, her hues upon the collection of vessels once again.

"Set a course. We're heading into Wild Space."
