IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION

When the Dark Empire collapsed along with the Empire of the Lost, Marlon Sularen thought that a new chapter had begun for Imperialism where the failures of the past would be rectified and a new powerful Imperial faction focused on stability and longevity that could leave a lasting impact on the galaxy far greater then what the New Imperial Order had accomplished. That had culminated in the formation of the Imperial Confederation, and with his appointment as the Supreme Commander of the Confederation's Armed Forces Sularen had been working tirelessly to create the solid foundations from which a new Empire could rise that would one day dwarf the New Imperial Order and properly lay claim to it's legacy. However, as expected there would be challenges and the Confederation would first have to survive a myriad of obstacles that would seek to undermine it's rise and consolidation of power.

It wouldn't be long until the first major obstacle to the future of the Confederation would present itself in the Galactic Empire. Formed from remnants of the Dark Empire who did not follow Sularen and the rest of the Empire Reborn in joining forces with other Imperial Remnants to create the Imperial Confederation, the Galactic Empire was essentially a continuation of the Dark Empire led by Darth Solipsis who had chosen to make his return with the vast majority of his old Guard to finish the war he had started with the Galactic Alliance. At a time when the adherents of Imperialism required unity to rebuild the Empire as it once was decades ago, Solipsis and his cohort presented a major obstacle to Imperial Unification, tainting the Imperial ideology with their corrosive and destructive methods and drawing dozens of prominent Imperials into their ranks in defiance to the Imperial Confederation.

To Sularen this could not stand. As long as there were two Imperial galactic governments, there could never be a true resurgence of Imperial power throughout the galaxy and thus efforts needed to be taken to ensure the premature destruction of the Galactic Empire before it could inflict real damage to the Confederation. With Solipsis and his Empire poised to begin fighting a new war with the Galactic Alliance, the Imperial Confederation had the perfect opportunity to strike against them from the shadows and ensure that they would be the ones to claim the Mandate of Imperialism.

However in order to ensure that the Imperial Confederation would emerge victorious, the Supreme Commander needed capable individuals at the helm of this initiative and thus he summoned two prominent officials within the Imperial Security Service to his office within the newly-completed Imperial Center for Military Operations on Cholganna. Those two prominent individuals being Interim Director Rackham and Field Commander Asther. Together both individuals would form the vanguard of the Imperial Confederation's secret war against the Galactic Empire, and thus it was vital that they understood what was at stake and why this was so important for the future of the Confederation.

As such, the Supreme Commander patiently waited in his office, eager to begin the next step of the Imperial Confederation's inevitable ascension as a true Imperial power in the galaxy.

Narantuyaa had arrived by shuttle to the planet of Cholganna, feeling a bit anxious about this meeting. Especially since she didn't feel like her rank had earned her the right to be summoned by Marlon Sularen. Supreme Commander of the Imperial Confederation. This would have been a moment where she would have been glad Zelva was with her. But Narantuyaa had elected to not bring her along. After all, she was the one invited, not her and Zelva.

Narantuyaa took a deep breath as the shuttle landed at the recently finished Imperial Center for Military operations. Stepping out of it, to meet the security guards at the launch pad, she flashed her credentials to them. Both guards gave her a silent nod, as they escorted her deeper into the facility. Narantuyaa took this time to at least appreciate the imposing architecture of the building. It resonated pride, order, and authority. Patriotism swelled within Narantuyaa as she continued to follow the guards to the office of Marlon.

A simple knock by one of the guards to alert Marlon to their presence, before the door slid open with Narantuyaa walking through. She stood at attention, before giving a firm nod to Marlon. "Supreme Commander. I hope I did not make you wait too long for my arrival."

Sularen remained firmly seated as the ISS Field Commander stepped into his office, greeting the Supreme Commander as she made her presence known to him. "No you did not." Sularen said, responding to her concerns about keeping him waiting for her arrival for too long. "Now please, take a seat Field Commander Asther. We have much to discuss." Sularen added, gesturing to the empty chair positioned at the front of his desk.

Once Asther was comfortably seated, Sularen spoke up once more. "Since my appointment as the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces, i've been working to organize the military and industrial apparatuses of the Confederation, to ensure that it can maintain a strong foundation that will ensure it's survival in the long-term regardless of the obstacles it faces." he explained. "However now we face an existential threat far sooner that i anticipated, one that could undermine all of the work that has been done in the pursuit of the unity and resurgence of Imperialism across the galaxy." the Supreme Commander added.

"This threat in question, is none other then the so-called Galactic Empire that has risen in the Core Worlds. A Sith-led Imperial Regime under the rule of the self-proclaimed Galactic Emperor Darth Solipsis, which is now poised to continue it's war with the Galactic Alliance." he finished. "The reason i summoned you here Commander, is because the Confederation is in need of capable individuals such as yourself to combat these threats and ensure that they can not undermine the goals of the Confederation."

Narantuyaa took a seat, making sure to sit up straight as Sularen explained the predicament that the Confederation found itself in. The so called Galactic Empire within the Core Worlds. Knowing the long history of Imperial factions over the centuries, it's no mistake that this other Imperial faction is trying to style itself like the ancient Galactic Empire that arose in 19BBY. Such a short sighted vision, to emulate yourselves after such a short lived regime. The fact that there was a Sith leading it, only led to more annoyance and disappointment. 'Why not join the Sith Order?' A question that will be hopefully be answered at another time.

Expecting that Sularen wanted an assessment, she would begin talking after he was finished in a professional tone. "An Imperial pretender? Hmm with any luck, the Galactic Alliance should crush them. However given their war with the Sith Order, resources could be stretched thin. There can by many ways the ISS can assist, Supreme Commander. Of course that would entirely depend on what kind of result you wish for.

Sabotaging the Galactic Empire's military industrial complex, will certainly hinder their war effort against the GA. The ISS will need to allocate resources to the Core Worlds to sniff out potential targets. Additionally, we can also hit their food supply. A military marches as long as it's properly fed. Hitting agriculture centers will hinder both their war effort and turn their own civilian populace against them. Especially if they believe the blight that killed their crops was naturally occuring."

There was a sense of satisfaction in her tone as she continued. "Alternatively, targetted assassinations can be done but require alot more planning. Political and military figures can be identtified, and thus neutralized, Any sort of action can be blamed on the GA. The war provides a good cover for it. It is also possible to begin a subtle propaganda war. Have the Galactic Empire's civilians be exposed to what crimes Darths have done to the people they rule. To also give them a history lesson of how the empire they try emulate had such a short lifespan. This will boost loyalty to us rather to the Galactic Empire."

Sabotage, Assassinations and Propaganda. They were all good strategies which could be utilized by the Imperial Security Service to a great effect in undermining the Galactic Empire and any other rival Imperial faction while further strengthening the Confederation's position in the galaxy. The only issue was that the ISS needed the right people in charge of these operations in order to maximize the chances of success. They needed individuals with the skills and determination to see this mission executed properly through any means necessary. While Commander Asther was most definitely a good choice to lead this initiative to undermine the rival Imperial factions that stood in the way of Imperial unification, Sularen required more individuals that could help ensure the success of thee operations.

"These are all very great proposals, Commander." Sularen said, commenting on the many strategies laid out by the ISS Field Commander before addressing his main counterpoint. "However, the Imperial Security Service has been neglected for sometime and in it's current state lacks the necessary amount highly-skilled and determined individuals that would be key to successfully implementing these strategies." he added. "If we are to wage a campaign against those who would undermine us from the shadows, we first need to ensure that we have the right people at the helm with the capability to accomplish strategic goals through any means necessary."

Sularen then took out a datapad from a drawer in his desk and handed it over to the Field Commander. "This is a list of potential assets that can be recruited into the Imperial Security Service in our efforts to combat enemies from the shadows. Securing their allegiance and support will be crucial to the success of this initiative." he explained. "I want you to seek all of them out and bring them into the fold of the Confederation. Once we recruit a sufficient amount of people we can move forwards with our plans against those who would undermine our efforts to bring forth a proper Imperial unification."
